Check out the Hamburger Special at Jenny's for $6.99, which includes a delicious loaded hamburger, seasoned fries and a drink. We chose to add a dinner salad and share it for an extra 3+ dollars. The dinner salad had fresh cucumbers and tomatoes and fresh blue cheese dressing. It was so yummy. You can substitute onion rings or fried zucchini for french fries for an xtra $1.50. I ordered in so I can't comment on the ambiance. I got the avocado blt with fries & I got my dad the club sandwich. The club sandwich was huge and delicious. The blt was also delicious and I did like the fries. However, the fries were a bit tasteless but they were like typical normal fries. Ordered well done on both plates, we got raw beef Patti and a raw steak, very undercooked, toast slightly burnt. When we told the waitress. She responded with "How can anyone burn toast" She offered to take it back and cook longer. but we never send our food back. When I told the manager he apologized and took our money. And I usually enjoy the service however one of the waitresses got a pretty bad attitude with me when I asked to sit down one morning, she made a pretty rude comment that I wouldn't even post. Unfortunately I will not eat here again due to her giving me that uncomfortable experience, and I'm really good at accepting criticism, however I just asked a simple question. So bummer for them and I normally tip well more than deserved most of the time. So make sure that this waitress is in a good mood before you sit in her area because she thinks that you paying to eat here is a blessing to be in her presence. We finally let the San Berdoo dude pick and here we are. A time capsule from a past tDecor on point, plenty of experience waitstaff (thank you Cristina my brothers can make it hard to take our orders sometimes, we'll basically all the time) and a menu you can choose from morning, noon and night. This was Friday lunch. We took up two booths and basically had a room to the six of us, we like to have space. I had the pastrami cheeseburger with fries and a pink lemonade. Satisfying lunch portion and the lemonade wasn't overly sweet. I think everybody else ordered water. There was a knockwurst Ruben, a big taco salad made inside a deep fried flour tortilla, a San Francisco burger on sourdough with green chilies, an avocado BLT and a mega skillet which promised to be at least one additional meal. A couple of he usual diner type issues like prior catsup being on my plate and one old side salad, everything was good. I've been coming here for years and never had a problem--until today. Our waiter dropped off the check and disappeared. We were left sitting there for at least 30 minutes with no coffee or water refills. When we asked another waiter for help, she was rude and told us our server had gone home, then walked away without asking if we needed anything. We asked to speak with a manager, and when he came over, he simply said, "I'm sorry you feel that way," and even laughed about the situation. The lack of professionalism was unbelievable. Leadership sets the tone, and it's clear that the attitude here has changed for the worse. The food was also disappointing--greasy and nothing like it used to be. To top it off, one of the managers who spoke with my husband actually shoved his shoulder while laughing. Completely unacceptable behavior, especially from someone representing the restaurant. After years of dining here, this experience was enough to make us decide we won't be coming back. The service, food, and respect for customers have all gone downhill. read more

Decided to try Jenny's on a slow Wednesday afternoon. Very fun old school vibe with the decor. Lots to choose from on the menu and great prices. I had soup, salad and half a sandwich. The homemade navy bean soup was very good. Salad nicely presented, a mixture of greens with the iceberg lettuce. Tuna salad on the sandwich was very good. My man had the seafood platter and enjoyed it, fried fish, shrimp and scallops. He had salad with his meal. They definitely are generous with the portions and give you a lot of food. What impressed us the most about the visit to this diner, was the table service. My server was very friendly and efficient . She was very upbeat and funny, cleared our table checked on us times throughout the meal, which doesn't always happen in many diners I have been to. This use to be our go to place for breakfast. Today nothing seem to go right. Order iced tea no lemon and came with lemon. Waitress said "Sorry I'm on auto pilot today" and smiled. Food was bland. Gravy looked good but tasted burnt. Fruit looked good but everything tasted like pineapple. Even the oranges tasted like pineapple. Asked for Toasted English muffin to replace the side of biscuits and gravy and took what seemed like forever came with no butter. Jellies on the table only had grape and mixed fruit no strawberry. Went to Jenny's diner today this place was hopping for a Thursday. We placed our order and were served right away. Not only was the ham steak huge but hot and tasty. My wife's French toast and bacon were also large in portion. The coffee had good flavor and kept coming. The service was better than most I've had in most establishments lately. The reason for my Three Star rating is simple. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and today 11/12/2023 we experienced a HUGE decline in their portions. The grilled chicken sandwich which is usually a pretty good size as well as the side of fries, was half of the usual serving. This is greatly disappointing to us, especially since I always recommend Jenny's for their food, portions and prices. I hope the owner reaches out to explain this very unusual serving. read more
