Last year I had them put in a new HVAC system and tonight when I felt like my house wasn't cooling well, I contacted them and within a half hour they were over at my house with a part that had burned out even on a Friday night. Ryan and Derek are top notch! This is an honest company that finds the root cause of the problem and solves it rather than gouging their clients with unneeded services. Our AC went out during a heat wave (of course ;-) and Derek found the source--a pincher bug interfered with the wiring connections (what???)--that caused our AC to not work. He removed the pincher bug and viola! On a separate recent occasion, the AC had gone out on a rental unit. We have a home warranty company who contracted a HVAC company to come out. They thought the source was lack of coolant and told me that the AC unit needed to be serviced. Supposedly, it worked after that but the tenants called and stated that it's still not working. Then, the HVAC company said that it must be the "mother board" of the control panel and that I needed to consult an electrician. At that point, I was done with them and I wanted the job done right, so I called Jensen Mechanical after our amazing experience with Derek. Ryan was able to get fix it same day!!! Had an A/C tune-up in June. I was pleased with the service and everything was fine. In August, I turned on the A/C for the first time since the service inspection and no cold air. Called Jensen on a Thursday afternoon and Derek was at my home first thing Friday morning. Within seconds, he determined that the capacitor was the issue and replaced it in minutes. This is my second review for Jensen Mechanical. Last Night (Labor Day 2022) my AC went out at around 8pm. Today it just hit 115 at 4pm, which I believe is a new all-time high for Antioch on a September 6th (maybe ever?). Following the three-day weekend, I wasn't sure if they would be able to get to me today before I had to get out of here to avoid bursting into flames! Left them a voicemail at 7am, and Jennifer called me back within 5 minutes. Ryan and his team installed my complete HVAC system back in 2017, and since I was an existing customer, Ryan was here by 9:15am. Simple fix, a blown capacitor... part covered under the 10-year warranty, only a small charge for the service call! These folks are local, honest and very responsive. After making the appointment, I received a reminder call the night before and a call in the morning to let me know what time Ryan would arrive, inside of the 2 hour window. Had a problem with my heater Ryan diagnosed the problem, multiple problems were the cause! Said they would get back to me with cost and arrival of the parts prior to ordering them! Called back by the end of the day and parts were ordered and estimated cost of everything. One day for parts, came the next day and replace parts and tested heater! STAY AWAY! Sneaky and dishonest! We hired Jensen Mechanical to install an AC system in our home. Their bid wasn't the cheapest, but the owner seemed trustworthy, at least initially.. He turned out to be a total cheat and the job was a disaster. It took a month to finish instead of the 3 days we were told it would be, the owner completely screwed up getting the proper permits with the city, lied to us repeatedly saying everything was in order, dragged his feet fixing his paperwork problems, and then argued with the inspector's safety requirement to bolt the AC unit into our roof beams. After refusing to comply and causing even more delays by trying (hiring a consultant) and failing to convince the inspector that the bolt the unit into the roof was unnecessary, he crew ultimately "faked" bolting the unit down to pass the final inspection from the City. Throughout the whole mess, the owner, Ryan Jensen, refused to actually take responsibility for his mismanagement, although he sure could run his mouth with excuses and blaming other people for things that he did wrong. We didn't know the full extent of the lies until we checked this "bolting" after the final inspection. The bolts did go into the wooden AC unit base, but were too short to go all the way through the roof surface and into the roof beams, which is what the inspector had stipulated. (A photo is attached.) Their plan was probably for us to never find out -- but one of his crew admitted that "the bolts are only for show" -- while he stood in front of our front-door home security camera! Now we have a project that is not up to permit standards and serious concerns about what other shortcuts were taken during the install. Is the wiring safe? Were proper materials used?. What Ryan Jensen did was outright FRAUD of a private consumer and to a governmental authority. He has been contacted by our attorney, but has not bothered to reply. Perhaps he is too busy cutting corners and defrauding his next customer. We have video and photo evidence to support our claims, and we will be filing complaints with the CA licensing board, with the Better Business Bureau, seeking remedy with his bond company, filing for actual and punitive damages in court, etc. If Jensen Mechanical was this brazen about lying to the authorities and taking the cheap way out in our case, what other undiscovered shortcuts have they have taken on past jobs, and what will they try to sneak past you if you hire them? read more

Very disappointed in this company, after a neighbor recommended it for keeping her old furnace going. It was clear from the outset what faulty part needed replacing and eventually I was able to find the part itself so we had all the specs for replacing. But Jensen's refused for an entire, stressful week to call me back until finally I tracked down Ryan who admitted he didn't want to deal with such an old furnace. Although I have never had a serious problem with this furnace, I can understand his hesitation, and I appreciated the refund for my initial charge. I received two estimates from other firms prior to contacting Jensen. Neither company suggested a repair and insisted that we needed a complete system replacement. Their estimates seemed very high, and I reached out to Jensen after receiving a referral. They contacted the manufacturer, and we were able to repair the system, saving us a great deal of money. They are honest, efficient, and competent. I have hired them for my regular system maintenance, and when my (separate) HVAC system downstairs goes, Jensen will be the first call that I make. We've worked with Jensen twice and have found them to be honest, price competitive, and seamless to work with. The first time was a couple years back when our heater stopped working. Ryan originally thought it was the motherboard, which would have been a pricey repair, but after figuring out it was the igniter he swapped it out for the correct part replacement without a problem. Our heater, now 25 years old, finally conked out and after shopping around for 3 quotes we found Jensen to be price competitive and again very easy to work with. Ryan's crew replaced our furnace, showed up and finished the work on time, and our new heater is working wonderfully! I also have to mention that Jen who manages scheduling is flawless. We were referred to Ryan by our electrician who has done a lot of work for us and the electrician told me Ryan's work was top notch and he wasn't kidding. Ryan and his guys at Jensen Mechanical recently installed a brand new Carrier Infinity Heating and Cooling system. The new system replaced an aging furnace original to the house, 30 years, and added A\C when we didn't have it before. The entire process from start to finish couldn't have went smoother. Ryan did an excellent job in listening to what I wanted and gave excellent guidance as to the technical details of what I wanted, as well as, talked me out of something I thought I wanted but didn't need. He is extremely responsive and has an attention to detail that very few people have. The quality of the installation was top notch. Ryan's guys are just excellent at what they do. The sheet metal work was superb and just looking at the system now that it's all finished is almost too good to be true. I look forward to seeing my before and after photos on his website. We went through 5 bids and in the end Jensen Mechanical had the best combination of price vs. deliverability. FWIW, we installed Carriers top of the line, ultra high efficiency, modulating gas furnace with a 2-stage 17-SEER A\C including a dual zoning system for our upstairs and downstairs. At the recommendation of a friend , we had Ryan Jensen come out and look at our system. We have done an addition to the house and our A/C wasn't keeping up with the heat. Our son also has serious allergies to pollen and often gets up at night, with puffy eyes, runny nose and unable to sleep. Updated review because we had another great experience with Jensen mechanical and our AC. Ryan came out and reworked the way the condensation drains out the top story instead of the lower pipe. It took about an hour. After 10 years of water dripping down the left side of our house (builder error, as there are many in this neighborhood) it finally drains correctly, out the bottom pipe. We have had so many people look at the problem over the years and scratch their heads. And now it's fixed. I recommend Ryan. He does good work, and solves problems that others can't solve! read more

Wow--where to start with this company. Our HVAC system was at least 22 yrs old and we figured we should get a new,more energy efficient system so we interviewed 4 different companies and Ryan was the only one who went up to check the duct work that day. His price was good and he had great reviews so we chose him. Everything went as planned and the crew was fantastic. Our attic entrance is in our main clothes closet and they taped that off to protect our clothing in case something were to fall. Nice touch. Everyone was pleasant, respectful and attended to the job- no fooling around for these guys! Ryan had found that our main entrance tube to the duct tubes was detached so we were hoping that once it was reattached, our master bedroom, which seemed to get very little air and heat , would now get the right amount of flow. The system runs great but we still had the problem with very little flow in our bedroom. Ryan came out to look things over again and decided we needed some other work so off to plan B we went, keeping our fingers crossed. On the day of repair, Chris noticed that there were two more detached ducts and they fed our bedroom. Seems that all these years, we had been heating and cooling our attic! Our problem has been solved!! Our bedroom is nice and cool tonight as I type this up. Wish we had found Ryan many years ago. The other well known HVAC team in Antioch had never found a reason for this flow problem and they did go up into the attic. We recommend this company completely.
