The "Navajo Taco" as presented take out.
    CritDicks ..

Very average, or even below average, bar food. We were excited to hear from our hotel (Best Western) receptionist next door that they made a great "Navajo" taco. We ordered the taco and a kids Mac-n-cheese. We were excited when we opened the take out carton with the taco. It looked very appetizing. The taco was just OK with a chili filling and side fixing's (lettuce, tomato sour cream etc) and a great fry-bread. The Mac-n-cheese was very much the Kraft brand we used to eat as a kid, just without the hot dog slices mom used to add to it. One bit of that was all. The taco itself got only two bites each from the wife and I. I saved the Mac for the dog in the morning and threw the rest of the taco in the trash. Food wasn't worth the indigestion. I think we both picked at the bread for a couple bites more. A decent looking restaurant inside, but the food didn't get our respect. Unfortunately Jeremiah's didn't keep our interest next to "the best animal friendly hotel" in the same parking lot. Gonna have to find a better place next trip. Dicks

Jeremiah's is one of those small town restaurants that just does it right. Good food, good service, good prices. And a must try for breakfast, scones, cinnamon rolls. We went with a group of 8 and had a great time, the table was appropriately sized, the noise level was low and great for conversation. I tried the prime rib special as they only serve it on Friday and Saturday nights after 5:00pm. It was very good, a very large portion served with vegetables and potato for $23. I asked for med rare and it was more well done, but still juicy and flavorful. My wife had the Monte Cristo which was good, not the best, but still very good. If you haven't been and are looking for a nice spot at a good value, you really should try Jeremiah's.

The Big Breakfast was BIG, two plates full of food! Great food, and the service was fantastic. Would visit again and try some other items

Came in on a Saturday around 4:00. It was super busy in the front lobby. It was also Christmas break time for folks and this restaurant is situated right by the best Western. So the wait was a little stressful and the booths weren't full so I am guessing it could have been in between shifts. Once we were seated everything was wonderful. The waitress was friendly and welcoming, she knew what she was doing. The food also came out quickly. I got the Navajo taco and loved it! I noticed a cinnamon roll on the other table that looked amazing. Didn't have room for dessert so asked for one to go. I love the atmosphere, the service once seated and I would definitely go again! Portions were also very generous.

Food is always homestyle and unpretentious. Service is always attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is very rustic with a diner feel. For a quick and dependable meal at reasonable prices, this is our go-to place.

Just traveling through the state and wanted a place that was unique to Ogden rather than a chain restaurant. Jeremiah's was a good choice: comforting family-style atmosphere, friendly service, and good basic choices. One item that sets Jeremiah's apart is the scones. I got the small dippers (which weren't small) with honey butter dipping sauce. Excellent! My entree was the teriyaki salmon, which was moist with just the right amount of sauce. It came with a choice of rice or potato and a side of nicely cooked green vegetables. The restaurant is part of a motel complex, so good place for me to keep in mind on my return trip.

We used to love coming here but we have to say we don't go much anymore. The hashbrowns are always undercooked, same with the toast.

It was sweet with pineapple and then chipotle on the crunchy tortillas used as chips. They definitely use high quality ingredients but both the melon and Caesar salads were just alright. Everything was on point from the start. The staff were wonderful, welcoming, cheerful and very helpful. I could tell the staff were having fun but also working together as a tight knit group. It was quite impressive. I started with a local beer, the Cerveza Roja by Ogden Beer Co., which was very refreshing and touch darker than other Mexican beers, which I really liked. I also ordered The Burger, medium, with fries and let me tell you it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Again, everything was on point. The patty was probably one of the thickest patties I've recently seen in a burger, all the ingredients were fresh, the meat was quality, and perfectly cooked (my mouth just started watering as I write this), along with the fries. The brioche bun was soft and actually smaller than the burger and ingredients combined which is usually the opposite nowadays. Seriously perfect. I also ordered an Old Fashioned, again perfect, and The Hole In One (Bourbon drink), also very tasty. They also have a nice variety of mocktails as well. Next time I'd like to try something else but not sure I can pass up that burger. The staff all had different favorites so that should tell you there's a lot of other great choices to try. I can't stress enough how amazing the staff and my server were. I also found out who the owners were and could see they totally set the example for everyone working there. The whole crew ran around helping each other out and expediting like a well oiled machine but fast and nimble. I had to let the owners know on my way out as well. I know where I'll be eating on my next trip to Ogden. Cheers!

I've never felt compelled to leave a public review of a restaurant before, but after multiple disappointing visits, I genuinely hope this one improves. That's why I'm leaving two stars instead of one: there's potential here, and I'd like to see it realized. Unfortunately, I don't plan on returning until significant changes are made in the kitchen. The one consistently positive aspect has been the service. Every visit, the front-of-house staff has been welcoming, attentive, and professional. They deserve recognition because they elevated an otherwise disappointing dining experience. The food, however, has repeatedly failed to justify its premium pricing. On one visit, the beurre blanc was served cold, leaving it heavy and unpleasant rather than rich and velvety. The forest herb pasta arrived garnished with two paper-thin slivers of what tasted like canned truffle, which felt more like an afterthought than a luxury ingredient. Nearly every dish was covered with oddly dyed edible flowers that added nothing to the flavor and often distracted from the plate itself. Another visit featured a halibut special topped with potato "scales." The concept was interesting, but the execution wasn't there. The potatoes were cut far too thick and weren't evenly layered across the fish, resulting in an awkward texture and uneven cooking. Properly blanching the potato slices beforehand would have made them more pliable and helped achieve the delicate scale effect the dish was clearly aiming for. I've also experienced overcooked lamb, bland seasoning, and dishes that lacked the depth and refinement you'd expect at this price point. Across multiple meals, the cooking has felt inconsistent, and too often the presentation seems to take priority over flavor. At these prices, I expect thoughtful execution, consistency, and food that leaves an impression for the right reasons. Instead, I left each visit feeling that the experience was more style than substance. It's disappointing because there's clear potential here, especially with such a strong service team. But until the kitchen becomes more consistent and the food better reflects the prices being charged, I won't be returning.

The Chef's Tasting consists of several preset amuse-bouches, with your choice of main and dessert. The thing that Hearth seems to be known for is their unique combinations of ingredients, tastes and textures, all leveraging their signature olive oils (which are available for purchase). It was fun trying all of the combos, most of which were delicious! I did get the short rib for my entree and unfortunately it was dry. The roasted vegetables were aplenty and tasty so I was glad to have had a substantial meal despite not eating much of the short rib. I mentioned it to the server and she shared that they had switched vendors recently and that it was different than their typical short rib. Hoping they switch back! The meal ended with dessert, and the honey/almond/white chocolate/blueberry sorbet I selected was decadent and yummy. All in all, I enjoyed my experience. The service was fantastic and we were treated to complimentary baked goodies to take home.
