This is my new favorite restaurant in 3T! Real smoke, abundant flavor, potent spice, great service. Knowing that chicken is the staple here, I got both grilled and fried chicken to compare. The grilled chicken is the flagship, and it had so much natural smoke flavor (they grill/smoke with charcoal), which I'm a sucker for. Fell right off the bone and was delicious with a little jerk sauce. The fried chicken (wings) is pretty different: no natural smoke, but instead a nicely textured breading that carried more spice/seasoning flavor than the grilled chicken. Both grilled and fried were probably around 6/10 on my spiciness scale. The two styles are different enough that I'll definitely go back for each in time, depending on my mood. But if you want to pick just one style to start with, I'd go with the grilled/standard first. That seems to be their specialty and I was very satisfied! Big portions for your money too. I also got a fresh fruit smoothie, and that was a nice pairing. I didn't opt for the CBD add-on this first time, but definitely plan to try that in the future. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and hospitable, and they communicated updates to me while my food was being prepared. One very trivial sidenote: from a branding perspective the pairing of jerk chicken with CBD smoothies is a bit odd or random, but not at all bothersome. The space houses both Jerky Jerk and the "Rare Form" lounge/seating area, but it's all run by the same people. I'm already dreaming about when I can have that smoky, spicy chicken again. A colleague recommended this place and I decided to visit for lunch. We were famished so we ordered 6 jerky wings (fried) and the red snapper. The wings were amazing! The sauce was so flavorful. I didn't expect the wings to be that good because they didn't look special at first glance. I mean, at my age, I've seen all the fried chicken there is. The red snapper took about 40 minutes to come out so order with caution. The staff were so kind. They acknowledged the length of time and continued to check on us. However, it was worth the wait. Okay, I work very near here and I was hesitant. My coworker decided to drop by and get a few jerk tacos and asked if I'd like one. So why not, I will try one and am wowed! The taste of the seasoning is very prominent and you and you can actually taste the Caribbean flavors, well that is once you pour the jerk sauce. The smokey flavors come thru and the balance of fixings is just perfection in a taco of flour tortillas. At first I didn't want to try one as they seemed like just another gimmick of a taco, but I was wrong. They are bringing their own flavors into this new establishment and I am very satisfied with one taco! What does that mean? Well basically it is super filling and stuffed with plenty of chicken and the fixings you desire. Now, here is the clincher: this has to be a passed down recipe! There is no way you can simply make a jerk chicken taco and expect me to believe this is not a home made recipe! Someone's mama will be upset if it gets out! But I digress. I googled and yelped and the reviews were great and I found out why. The dasher handed me my food and the aroma of soulful seasoning invaded my nostrils and mouth watered. My husband asked me to order the food literally 45 minutes before he got there and when he arrived he had to wait an additional 30 minutes before he received the food. I have now come to know that a lot of the reviews on here about this restaurant are fake and stage and maybe even paid for. Especially the ones with the food that's perfectly plated on a regular plate and or the girl smiling in front of the food it's just...I was really disappointed... I got the three meat which included the Mr.Brown stewed chicken entrée, jerky fried Chicken and the jerky jerk chicken white both sides were macaroni. So starting with the macaroni you can tell that it's not homemade by any means it just tasted like a really thick box macaroni sauce. The Mr Brown stewed chicken I just was in disbelief that I can eat something that had absolutely no flavor like this. Overall the food, freshness, presentation, packaging, taste, delivery time were all good with one minor exception - The curry goat and curry chicken - gravy/sauce was too watery and the curry was extremely weak but otherwise tasty dishes.
