I didn't have any food as I just had lunch with a friend over at Olive Garden. Yes the girls wear skimpy outfits which is the gimmick, and it's not a bad one, LOL. I went to ojos locos for a soccer game by myself. There was an open seat, but the people next to it said it was taken by putting a purse on it. I waited til halftime and nobody showed up. I had heard good things so I decided to give it a try. Ojos Locos is located in a large strip mall right off the freeway, so there is a nice large parking lot. That makes it convenient. Went for lunch but unfortunately I went during a busy Friday when the freeway was backed up everyone trying to get off at the exit to do some holiday shopping. There is a decent size menu of Mexican food choices. I hadn't had Fajitas in a while so I decided to try them out. I was a little surprised that complimentary chips and salsa are not offered to the table. Fajitas came out sizzling along with all the assorted plates for the tortillas and all of the sides (sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, etc.). I was a little surprised that only 4 small tortillas are given to you, and there is no way you can shove all the food into those 4 small tortillas. I asked for a few more tortillas and was finally given 4 more piping hot tortillas and found out at the end when I got the bill there was a $1 fee for the extra tortillas. Placed my drink order (Arnold Palmer), took a couple of sips and it was watered down ice tea with a lemon slice. Gave my food order 6 boneless wings and fries. Complained about my drink and was offered a Coke. I think she said they were out of lemonade. Waited so long for my food I had to ask twice what was taking so long. Finally brought my chicken wings without the fries. Thought, well maybe they will bring them soon. They never arrived, but the check did when I asked for it. Ojos Locos Sports Cantina was packed with happy patrons on the night we vsited. It was lingerie night, so all of the waitresses were dressed in pretty revealing outfits. But I guess that is the whole point. Kinda like Hooters on steroids! Interesting to say the least. The food was pretty good, but it was hard to focus on taking pictures for this review. We ordered a barril of Dos Equis amber, but somehow got Modelo Especial. No worries - it was beer, right? The chips and guac was nice, although a little more guac is always a bonus. Well.....being new to Tucson (33 days) I had no clue what I was walking into. Is it underwear night every night or is that just a Tuesday thing?? I had an amazing time , Bruklin was my server i highly recommend asking for her she made our time there amazing fast and fun!

First, I love the Lemon Pepper Sandwich. The chicken hangs off the bun and has a wonderful flavor. There is just the right amount of lemon flavoring in the crunchy crust. You can think of this establishment as a hispanic version of Hooters. The outfits are raunchier tough. Actually they are too racy for a restaurant in my opinion. I am sure not everyone shares my views. I've been here a few times with my friends from work, and the service is hit or miss. One time we were on a time crunch and they were busy. The server took our order and didn't submit it to the kitchen for 45 minutes. The manager finally came by and apologized , but we were REALLY late getting back to work. Luckily the job we have is flexible, but it meant we had to stay extra late at work missing time with our families. There are many TVs with different sports shows. Went there during World Cup for soccer (not sure which game now), and it was great being able to watch during lunch. read more

Just went for the first time. The environment was fun. Its a bar , they had a good DJ playing music! Food was very mediocre. The service was horrible. The girls seemed angry and didn't know How to smile. Took them forever to check on us. Ended up having to ask the busboy who was nice to get us forks in order to eat, and at one point to refill the beer tower. It was annoying how much the service sucked. Food is typical bar food. I have gone to this restaurant at least once a week over the past 8 months or so with misc business clients. That's easily 32 visits. Today I was approached by a waitress who said she recognized my client and I because we come I all the time. She proceeded to tell us that she enjoyed serving us until the end when she didn't feel she was tipped enough. I explained that i generally tip 20% unless there was an issue. She then proceeded to explain to us that she deserves far more than that and that we were basically losers for not tipping her appropriately. My client then asked her what she felt she deserved for the service that she gave. We told her that we certainly didn't want her to feel that way and to please explain to us what she felt was an appropriate tip. She then responded that her lucky number was $100. We were shocked by this insanity and asked again if she felt that was the tip she deserved? She again replied her lucky number was $100, and then followed up with if we could afford it. Again speaking to us in a completely arrogant and demeaning manner. It was at that time that we gave her the $100 tip she requested and informed her that we hope that's all the money she or the restaurant wanted from us as we will never come back again. This waitress was unbelievably rude and out of touch with reality. The management should be aware that they have servers who literally shake down customers for exorbitant tips with no care whatsoever for customer service or basic respect for clientele. read more

Have visited the establishment at least 20 times in the last 6 months. Yesterday I was told that none of the staff wanted to wait my business and myself because we did not tip enough. The server stated that she was worth $100 tip for bringing out food. She was not at all friendly, just demanding and entitled. If I ever returned, I would be afraid that my food would be spit on. Memorial Day forced us to look for restaurants that were open and most of the places were closed! We saw this place right next to another chicken place - and out of curiosity I said let's try it out! My son, partner and I were surprised to be greeted by women scantily clad- this is the Mexican version of Hooters- more south bound (if you get my drift). Food was decent! If you want to see waitresses in fancy thong-skirts, this place is for you. It made my teen very uncomfortable so we left after being seated. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. We had chicken wings (cajun rub, spicy buffalo), quesadilla cheese, and pollo tenders. Also tried the Mexican mule with tequila. It was not bad, but not a drink I would try again. Hojos locos has expensive beer. They have a ridiculous policy where they don't allow bikers to wear their cuts. We were already in the restaurant eating and they came by trying to charge us an entrance fee for a ufc fight even though we were already in the joint. So it's a breastraunt or a different version of Hooters. They seem to pay homage to the working man and have tools, truck parts, and similar things as decor. The food is good, but nothing remarkable. They chill the beer glasses which is bad for beer. I asked for a non chilled beer glass and got one that was warm to the touch. So I'll go with the too cold beer glass as it was better than too hot. Service was adequate. Cool place to watch sports ball. They have security after 7 if I recall correctly so you may get a pat down or a purse search. read more

The girls that work here go through so much every day and they deserve more credit, so tip them nicely. The bartenders are all really good at what they do, love them. Lenny needs a new job. He's been here a few months and has already broken so many rules it's insane. New cantina that mom and I tried out. Food was delicious, fresh, and well presented. Service excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Even the owner was friendly and interested in good customer service. We ordered nachos which were more like mini tostadas, a side of rice (perfecto) , beans, and chicken salad. Portions were average not overly generous. Also was spendy for sure! But Just a warning scantily clad waitresses and hostess staff. No exaggeration...think thong panties and bustiers. Do not go on Thursday, during "banda night" if you arrive early and have a big tab they will still ask you for a cover charge. We had spent tab at about or more of 500 bucks and we still held of a party to pay a 20 dollar fee to stay. Our two servers Liza & Destiny were extremely nice and attentive. Great service. UNFORTUNATELY, there was something floating in my mug of beer. A clear semi-solid strand of something white. When brought to the attention of a bartender he asked to see the glass. A gentleman in a buttoned up shirt came and inspected the glass and QUICKLY rushed it to the kitchen. Said that it must have come from their Balones dispenser and simply gave my friend & I glasses and ignored us like it never happened. This was my first time ever going to this new establishment and I thought it would be nice to try something new, however.... We were met at the door by the manager who informed us we were not welcome. We explained we were veterans and not an MC and they didn't care they were not going to allow us into their establishment. I'm glad they let us know right away that veterans were not welcome and I believe we should respect that and all veterans and veteran supporters should not go to Ojos Locos. Service tends to be generally good, but really depends on the server you get. Overall, a decent place to watch a game. **WARNING** keep your receipts! I've been here over a dozen times and about 80% of the time I get charged a higher tip amount than what I actually leave (I never leave less than 20%, but for some reason they are always feel the need to add a few more bucks). Not a bad second welcome and sit-down meal in Arizona! I went on Friday night and I'm glad I did. FYI, this is basically a Mexican Hooters. I ordered the quesadilla carne asada and chips and dip. The food was fantastic as was the service. Our server was Aiyana and she needs a raise! We ordered drinks and food and she was ON IT.
