I purchased a 2015 Toyota hybrid from this dealership. I noticed a lot of scratches on the side of the car and asked BEFORE I signed any paperwork if it had been in an accident. The car salesman said "not to our knowledge". I mentioned the damage on the car and his reply was "no used car is perfect". I asked for the car fax and they said they would get them to me. I also asked Dustin as I was signing the papers to make sure I got the car fax and he said he would get them to me. An employee had been driving the Prius around and added 200 miles from what the dealership had on file and before I signed any papers I notified Dustin that the mileage wasn't correct because the employees joy ride in the cars. He didn't want to redo the paperwork and said 200 miles isn't a big deal. They "cleaned" the car...but I still found old French fries and joint wrappers under the seat. The car was sold to me with a tread rating of 2 on the front tires which is illegal but what do they care. I called every day for nearly 2 months trying to get a hold of Dustin to drop my gap insurance. He keeps his voicemail box full so nobody can leave messages. Finally it's as if they blocked my number because nobody would answer. I called 3 times in a row and nobody picked up. I grabbed my friends phone less than a min after my last call, and called them from his phone and wow they answered on the first ring. I found out on FACEBOOK that the Prius I purchased has been in 4 accidents and 2 damage claims per jerry Smith auto. My wife and I bought an SUV from this dealer and within 5 months have had several problems with it ranging from the key being stuck in the ignition to the alternator going out. The AMAZING extended warranty HIGHLY suggested by Jerry Smith Chevrolet has not covered ANY of the problems this lemon has given us. In fact the warranty company does is closed on the weekends and holidays so there is no way to even get roadside assistance! Every time either my wife or I call Jerry Smith Chevrolet we get transferred multiple times and are never actually helped! read more

Went in yesterday to have our car washed (you know, unlimited car washes for life if you buy/lease through them) and chatted with Michael, our resident salesmen buddy. We were talking about the new Colorado's and how I wasn't a fan because A: I was so used to my full size F150 and the room it provided and B: I hate how the back seat folds up in it. We chatted some more and he mentioned there was a new Chevy High Country on the lot that had been the owners demo truck and it was currently for sale and I should take a look at it, just for kicks, because he knew I loved me F150. So, I finally cave and look at it (it had been there for the last few car washes we've gone to and I've avoided it like the plague). And yes, I fell in love. That truck doesn't even need a salesmen because it has everything you'd ever need or want in a full size, badass vehicle. We got out are and left to go home, but my husband and I talked about that damn trick the entire way. Ended up grabbing my F150 and heading back. Met up with Curtis, whom Michael suggested since he has gone home and told him flat out, "If You can make this price work with my trade it, we will drive this truck off the lot today." We're not the type of people that will deal with pushy, annoying care salesmen and we haven't had that issue once there (my husband basically did the same thing when he bought his car). They did right by us and are going to let me pick up my tires/runs off of my F150 and put the stock ones back on for me so I can sell my aftermarket ones because they're pretty badass. We got a beautiful truck, fully loaded, for less than we ever though we would and I don't think we'll ever need another unless we just want the newer model down the road. Great people, easy to work with and are willing to try to work with you to get you in the vehicle you want. Definitely didn't plan on buying a new truck yesterday, but couldn't pass up that kind of deal! Thanks guys! read more

I did not buy my truck at Jerry Smith, so cannot speak to the sales experience there (IME, most auto purchase experiences -- anywhere -- fall somewhere between a root canal and a proctological exam.) This place is amazing and recommend to anyone looking for new and used. We went shopping for a newer diesel truck, we didn't care if it was dodge or chevy. We went to all the local dealerships and when they found out what our budget was, they instantly changed their demeanor and pretty much laughed at us. Until we went to Jerry Smith chevrolet, we had Michael as our salesman and cant say enough good things about him, looked at a brand new 2015 chevy 2500 fully loaded, it was beautiful and we loved it. Then we went and started discussing price, that thing was so far out of our budget it was crazy, when they realized no deal was going to be made, they sat us down and explained the situation face to face. They said they would love our business and will let us know of anything comes in that fits our budget. The next day they called us (because we forget our registration of our trade in) and said they have a 2008 dodge 2500 that was in our price range. So we zoomed out there and ended up leaving with it! Scam alert! Got a flier in the mail that had a scratch ticket on it. Was going to throw it in trash but our son found it and scratched it off the ticket matched two $2500s and it said if any two matched then you win that amount. I said that's BS throw it out, of course our son is going crazy thinking we won and has a fit when I want to throw it in the trash. My wife calls them and they assure her that we did in fact win but we have to bring the ticket in to claim the prize. I drove 60 miles round trip (after a long day of work and a long commute) to be told that the guy on the phone lied to us! Total scam! And then they tried to pressure me into buying a car I didn't need or want on top of it. Like I would buy a car from these crooked bastards. read more

Went to their service department for an estimate to have a ventilation problem fixed on my Safari van. They said it will cost $130. to have a technician give me an estimate. I then went to Anacortes Automotive. The estimate cost nothing and they fixed the problem while I waited. Total cost: $129. Last year the dealership charged me $ 236. to replace just the glass on my side mirror. Never go there for service ! read more

First of all can't say enough good things about the sales team. Specifically Conner and Dustin. Great people to work with and be around. The point of the review. I purchased an 04 escalade a year ago (from jerry smith) and have had electrical problems lately. Took it in late January and picked it up thinking it was good to go. Four days later lights went out again. Which is why I initially took it in for. I finally had time to take it back in mid last week and when I went to pick it up he couldn't assure me it was completely fixed and recommended keeping longer to go through it and try to blow a fuse to troubleshoot what the problem was. So I did. From the looks of it vehicle never moved from the service lot (so not sure if they really went through it again) I picked it up on Friday paid the $60 that I was charged. And being told to carry a pocket full of fuses isn't what I wanted to hear. Saturday went to drive it in the evening to check the mail at my po box and was pulled over. The reasoning for the stop was speeding was lucky I had the service paperwork from the day prior and was let off. Anyway I'm writing this review because I've contacted them and they gave me the option to bring it back and thoroughly go through each wire and system to find the problem. I am under warranty and the first time I brought it in wasn't charged. They said it was just a fused but being its electrical it was covered. Second time I paid because it was just a fuse. My problem is Scott from services said it wouldn't be covered if they couldn't find anything but if they do they put in the claim. Now how do I know they are really going to go through the system and be honest. This should've been fixed the first time. I don't trust them and wouldn't recommend anyone to bring in their vehicle to be serviced unless you can keep dumping money in to their pockets. read more

My co-worker has had his vehicle into the body shop 3 different times for the same fix. The paint chipped and there were horrible drip marks on his hood. This place is NOT the place to bring your vehicle to accident repair. read more

When you are there, they're attentive-ish in the parts and service department. But, if you need a part replaced and it has to be ordered, they're awful about calling you to let you know the part has arrived and to schedule your appointment to have that part replaced. They've done this numerous times. So extremely frustrating! You have to remember to call them. More then once. read more

I went to this dealership because I was instructed to do so by the mechanic I ordinarily get to perform maintenance on my car because he said that he needs to compare my chevy engine to a known good engine to ensure that he does the job correctly. The minute I walked into the door I was not greeted by anyone in the service department. There was a gentleman sitting behind his computer and did not attempt to assist me. I decided to have a seat and wait until the other clerk was done with her customer. I went up to her and explained my situation to her. She typed everything up for me and took my keys. Two and a half hours later I had my car back. I was told that I got a code P0016. The labor fee for this dealership is $105 an hour. I was told it would take two hours for them to look under my hood to correct the timing and remove and replace the valve cover gasket if needed. They were hopeful that this would fix the issue. The total for this was $425. I did want to pay that so I declined and only paid for the diagnostic test. The problem that I have with this dealership is that I believe one of their techs made my car worse to get money out of me. Once I returned home, my car was making a loud clinking noise. I did not have this noise before taking it to the dealership. Also my car wouldn't go past 30 mph until after a few seconds of pressing the gas pedal all the way down. My car was having issues starting and it was shaking. In all the six years I had this car, the only thing I got done to this car was a timing belt and a timing chain tensioner by a trusted mechanic. My car has always started and never shook. I explained all of this to the clerk when I went to the dealership to confront them about the situation. They continuously said that their technician did not do anything to my car but the diagnostic test. I find it hard to believe that my car was perfectly fine a few hours ago and now it's barely driveable. Now I have to come out of my pocket to fix an additional problem. If I were you I would not do business with this dealership. Stay Away! read more

I really wanted to give these guys a good review. They had great customer service and found me just the car I was looking for at what seemed a very reasonable price, $5000. However, the car was completely incapacitated after only 9 months. It needs a new transmission for $3000, since it was purchased "used" and "as is" we have no recourse. When we brought it into Jerry Smith to be looked at they wouldn't even look at it because it was not a Kia or Chevrolet. I really trusted them as they were referred to me by my employer. Unfortunately, they sold me a lemon which is terribly disappointing as this was my daughters first car and she didn't even get to drive it for more than a year. On top of that there is no way we can afford to buy her another car or replace the transmission. So, I can not in good conscience recommend this dealership. read more

I went in with a list of features that I wanted in a truck, it was a last minute decision and I went less than 2 hours before closing. The salesmen there spent more than 4 hours helping me find the truck that I wanted and within my budget. The salesmen took the best matched trucks, printed out what they would cost, how much they could take off and the list of features associated with each one. I ended up getting a 2015 Silverado LTZ for 3K UNDER MSRP even after taxes, and upgrades to the protection. Definitely a fan, and none of that "only men buy trucks" mentality either. read more

About 8 months ago, I went car shopping after my first car died after 20 plus years on the road, Jerry Smith was my second stop on the tour of car dealerships with my friend and grandfather. When we got there, the salesman took us to the trade ins because I only had about $6000 to spend on a vehicle. I came across a green Ford Ranger, and I liked it a lot because my friend had one also. I took it for a test drive and we proceeded into the office to talk money. The salesman and I negotiated and I ended up purchasing the truck later that same week for $6500. I drove it home two days later. I drove it back to the dealership a few days later to have it looked at by their mechanic and he personally told me that this truck runs fine. THAT WAS A LIE!Now, here it is late November and my check engine light has been on steadily for a few weeks, I took my truck to a local mechanic and he said that my head gasket was blown and that it would be $2,200 to replace it and $2800 if it was cracked. I feel that Jerry Smith Chevrolet lied to me in their sales practice in not telling me about the blown head gasket, and on charging me way too much for a truck with this severe of a problem.
