Party of 7 (6 adults and a toddler) went to Jerry's on Monday for an anniversary dinner. Service was amazing. Crab dip was awesome. Meals looked delicious but upon eating my crab bomb determined that my crab bomb tasted funny. I only ate a few bites in the restaurant because we'd ordered and ate the crab dip and the delicious bread. So I was pretty full by the time my meal arrived. I boxed most of it up along with my green beans. The next day/tonight, I heated the crab bomb up and the smell of ammonia was so intense that I couldn't eat it, threw it away. I googled and it says that it typically means the crab meat is bad; crab was dead before cooking. What a waste... our bill was $377! Disappointed. Hoping I don't get sick. read more

The dip was horrible and the Maryland soup was sub par. The only good thing was the jumbo lump crab meat. The dip was nothing more than a cup of mayo with crab meat on it with a sprinkle of old bay. Today is a sad day I'm truly missing the Old Skool Jerry in Lanham. Note to self never come late on Saturday for takeout. The service and the food was subpar crab dip had absolutely no seasoning and where were my big lumps of crab only God knows because they were not in the dip. Calamari was decent but did you add water to the marinara obviously you did because it was thin as tissue paper. Recently I visited Jerry's with family to enjoy a good meal. Well that wasn't the case nor end result. The next day I was faced with excruciating stomach pains which left me paralyzed as they violently passed. I checked with my family to see what their experience was like since we all had the same dish except for the "Crab Bisque" . Checked with a friend and she too has experienced food poisoning after consuming this dish. I'm still in pain after day 2....my advice don't get the bisque. The crab cake was ahhhmazing. First, the portion size is impeccable. It is all crab meat and no filler. The crab meat is juicy and seasoned well. I went to dinner on a Sunday evening. The atmosphere is perfect for large parties and dates. You can tell it is a popular place to dine. The server was kind, attentive and friendly. There are TV's throughout the restaurant. Oh Jerry's, where have you been all my life!? I found Jerry's on a Maryland thread where people were recommending the best restaurants and bars in the state. I'm making it a mission to try all that are geographically friendly. Jerry's, home of the crab bomb, was first on my list. I pulled up the website and the first thing I saw was a notice that because of the increasing cost of seafood, Jerry's would be raising their prices. It was as if the owner wrote a letter to a friend, everything very thoughtful in how it was presented. I appreciate that. I rarely post a five-star review because there is always something to nitpick about. Not at Jerry's. The service was friendly, attentive, and made you feel like you were dining with friends. A big thanks to Diana and all the others who took excellent care of us. The food was as good as the service. You are greeted with a basket of homemade hot rolls. First we ordered cream of crab soup and it was the best I've had. It was creamy and thick with large pieces of lump crab. The calamari was lightly battered and flash fried, tender and delicious. We were lucky because our flaky blackened rockfish was a special and like everything else, it was outstanding. The veggie of the day was green beans - tasted like someone's grandma was in the kitchen cooking. We ordered coconut cake. It was moist with just the right amount of sweetness and large enough to feed 4 people (we had to take most of it home). Our one mistake was not ordering oysters which are set up at a small oyster bar as you walk into the restaurant. Next time Jerry's, next time. Because there will most definitely be a next time. So I decided to patron this business today for lunch. I was seated immediately and my waiter brought out rolls. I ordered fresh oysters (oh my god these oysters were heavenly) no shells broke off in mouth (thank you for that) it was perfect. For an appetizer I had the beer battered shrimp it was fried to golden perfection. Very light breading decent sized shrimp it was perfect. My side salad came out with fried catfish and coleslaw. Everything was very good however the coleslaw I didn't care for that very much it taste like somethings missing but I cannot put my finger on it. But all in all 10/10. read more

Best crab resto in MD! My husband is not a big seafood fan, but he loves this place. It is pretty pricey for us so we only go on special occasions or when families/friends visit. I think min price for a dish is $32 or $35. I used to only order crab bombs until I discovered the shrimp stuffed crab imperial, and thats what Iv been ordering since. They are both really good. Jerry's was one of my favorite seafood restaurants until I placed 2 orders for pickup on 6/4/2019. I ordered the fried haddock dinner with a baked potato and salad as well as the crab bomb dinner with a baked potato and salad. For one - the salad was missing for one of my orders. Instead of receiving the side salad I was given an extra baked potato. On top of that when I got home to eat my food my baked potato was rotten (please see attached picture). This is my first negative experience at Jerry's and I will most likely not order carry out again! The other food was fine as always so if I do return I will definitely dine in. read more

It's enormous, flavorful. and all crab. Potato wedges, apple sauce, even the dinner roll was delicious. Online ordering is too easy, pricing is fair, the pickup area is large and doesn't involve going inside, the ppl working the pickup area are very friendly, and plenty of parking. So I have been hearing about Jerry's for some time now and this past Sunday, a homie and I decided to check it out. SCORE!!!!! At first the menu kind of seemed simple and with not a lot of options but then I had to think, for someone that is as indecisive as me maybe that is a good thing. The wait was about 25min and we were seated very promptly. Our server was named Tyler and he earned every bit of his over 20% tip that night. One of the best servers I have had for a dining experience. He was very warm, welcoming, gave us a little bit of history about the restaurant and how it is family owned. He also let us know which specials they had and what he would recommend. SHOUT OUT TO TYLER!!!!! So my homie and I started with the Crab Dip and Calamari. YES YES YES!!! All fresh and prepared well. We had a slight mix-up with one of the appetizers so Tyler took care of both as far as the bill was concerned so that was greatly appreciated. But this did not stop their 5 star review as I knew I was going to give them even after the hiccup. Onto the main thangs lol. I got the Sauteed Red Snapper with a mini Crab Bomb on top with a Baked Potato and Fresh Green Beans. My homie got the Stuffed Shrimp with Western Fries and Apple Sauce. Listen, that Apple Sauce was so good like legit good lol. My Red Snapper was fresh and even though my Crab Bomb was mini it was still BOMB. We did not do desert due to kicking a mean Sweetz habit but Tyler made sure to let us know all deserts are baked fresh by someone's NaNa and brought in everyday. JESUS!!!! Parking: Public, a good amount on a day that isn't busy. I was pleasantly pleased with not being charged for parking. Wait: We came on a Friday during lunch hour and there was only a 10 minute wait! I was a little concerned about this choice given the recent mixed reviews and the cost. I heartily agree with those who say that it is worth every penny. Forget about chic ambience, trendy cocktails, or an extensive wine list. You are coming here for only one thing, and that is seafood. My husband and I met a dear friend from DC here while we were in Annapolis for work. They both had the crab bisque which was liberally topped with crab meat. It was superb. I was somewhat limited by the fact that I abhor mayonnaise which is an ingredient in most crab dishes, but was very pleased with the haddock cooked in garlic butter. My side salad was crisp and fresh. Our friend had the crab bomb and my husband the shrimp and crab bomb. Both were pronounced delicious. I do agree that the sides were dated but no one had room to finish them anyway. We did, however, manage to split a very large and very tasty coconut layer cake. Kind of kicking myself for not trying that crab bomb, but let's talk about what I did try! Wait, let's talk about service first. Our waitress was very accommodating. I had a ton of questions about the ingredients used since I changed my diet recently. I am avoiding quite a few things (not completely eliminating - doing my best). Anyway! She answered all of my questions without appearing annoyed or that she had to rush to be somewhere else. I really appreciated that. I went on a Friday night and the place was pretty packed, so I know she could have easily spent that time doing something else. Five stars for her alone. On to the food, I got the wild caught salmon with crab along with a garden salad and applesauce. The portion? HUGE. I took about half of it home to finish the next day. It was cooked perfectly and even reheated really well. I always appreciate a perfectly cooked piece of salmon. The sear on it was really nice for a blackened piece of fish. The salad... meh. I could do without the salad. It was just iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and cucumbers. Kind of boring, but I appreciated the veggies, so I ate them. The applesauce was DELICIOUS. I only tried a little of it since I am avoiding a lot of sugar, but it was really fantastic.
