Caesar was the best dish we had. Cream of crab was custard like consistency with some lump meat atop. Compose your dish for more flavor.
    Jake S.

Met amy here for late lunch. We understand the concept of showing the amount of crab meat on top of the dishes. Good portion size of meat in the dishes but absolutely no flavor mainly cuz of seasoning but also cuz some flavor (the meat) was not incorporated into the dish. The absolute best thing we had on the menu was the caesar salad. We started with 18 oysters which were shocked directly in front of our table at the raw bar shocking station. Seeing the oysters with bits of shell shattered in them and then being given those oysters to eat was very surprising that they were taught proper technique or just frankly didnt care about the oysters being cleaned from residual pieces of the shell. The restaurant was clean and cool inside on a hot summer day. The bathrooms did not have paper towels anywhere but did have a broken holder that was empty for them on the counter between the sinks. The crab bomb we got was the only thing that had the meat incorporated into it. It was honestly the best tasting seafood item we had. Thats honest truth. I feel the crab dip again with the meat just sitting on top of a cream cheese base with little to no flavor needed alot of help with us asking for old bay since our tables shaker was empty. I dont blame them for customers using it to actually make the dish taste of something. The cream of crab was not my cup of tea at all. It was like thicker consistency more of like a custard base to it with lump meat on the top of the soup. I get the concept that you want to show your clientele the amount of meat they are getting and how it is reflected in the price but you actually have to make the food taste good. The caesar salad was great. Best thing we had. We did try to order some beers but the server said they were out of blue moon but just went with a Stella. The server actually knew the verbal beers and dessert menu. I think if we had saved any room for dessert, those would have been good. The table around us got dessert and they looked phenomenal. We will not be back. Not worth it for the price we paid for the lack of flavor in most dishes. Jake, kev, and amy

When I agreed to meet my former colleagues for dinner in DC, I did not know the Grand Prix street closures would reroute us to Jerry's, or that it would take me nearly TWO HOURS to get there. But when the birthday boy is turning 85, you oblige. Clearly, I adore him. First-timer at Jerry's, and I went straight for the famous Crab Bomb. And bomb it was! Huge chunks of lump crab, very little filler, and absolutely delicious. Everyone else left with doggie bags. Me? I ate the WHOLE thing. I needed fuel for that ride home! Now, the price? WHEW. And because we ALL had Crab Bombs, plus appetizers, and I picked up the check, this was no small ticket! I'm a Costco girl, so the entire time my brain was doing seafood math: "Now how many pounds of lump crab could I have bought for this?" You only turn 85 once, so we celebrated properly. The food was delicious, our server was great, the birthday celebration was worth every mile, and these days I'm reminded that dining out is less about what's on the plate (although it should be delicious) and more about who's sitting around the table.

    I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE! I found Jerry's online while looking for the best Maryland Crab Cakes. Most reviews were great with a few saying there wasn't enough seasoning. I wholeheartedly disagree with those reviews. The restaurant was clean and busy with an average noise level. The service was awesome and everyone we encountered provided excellent customer service. I think our server's name was Kayla. She was nice, informative, and patient. We ordered the crab bombs as that's what they are known for. The crab bombs are huge crab cakes with no filler. I found them to be quite delicious! I didn't need to add seasoning, but even if I had, the table had old bay, salt, and pepper. With my crab bomb, I had the stewed tomatoes and veggies of the day. Both were delicious! I couldn't get enough of the stewed tomatoes. I would visit again and again 10 times over!

About to enjoy Jerry's world famous Crab & Shrimp seafood bomb for lunch !!

Is those rare occasions where you really wish you could create your own star system that shines the light on an establishment that just brings something extra to your experience from all angles.... And for me it's Jerry's Seafood !!! They have it and I mean really have it. Five things I want you to understand and file away about Jerry's when you're pondering a seafood restaurant to dine out at: 5: They're the most consistent when it comes to providing each patron with an A+ experience 4: The establishment is always giving off great energy that makes you feel comfortable right away 3: "Team Work Makes The Dream Work" and that's something they practice on every level... no one is too busy to ensure each and every customer receives outstanding service 2: They're menu is stuffed ( literally ) with top of the line dishes... from appetizers ( best raw oysters out there... and I'm a 4 times a week oyster eater ) to their entree's.. everything just hits different ( love their cream of crab soup... wish I could give it 4 thumbs up !! ) 1: Yup !!! No question Jerry's world famous crab bomb ( love the crab and shrimp bomb ) is the best tasting crab bomb on this side of the equator.... And yes, I know it's a crab bomb but no crab cake is better either ( for the record !!! ) So on that note... I'm bucking the system and giving Jerry's Seafood 7-STARS !!!! 5-stars just doesn't tell the whole story...

I went into Jerry's Seafood without many expectations, but I left pleasantly surprised. The menu has something for just about everyone, with plenty of seafood and crab specialties, an oyster bar, along with salads, steaks, and other options that make it easy for groups with different tastes to find something they'll enjoy. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and family-friendly, with plenty of seating, but I could also see it being a great spot for an evening out with cocktails and fresh seafood. A special shoutout to our server, Dave, who was attentive throughout our visit. We had someone in our group with dietary restrictions, and he was knowledgeable about the menu and offered thoughtful recommendations that made ordering much easier. This visit was more of a late night stop for us as we shared a few appetizers and enjoyed a couple of cocktails, but everything we had was delicious. After seeing the variety on the menu, I'm already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the dinner offerings. Jerry's definitely exceeded my expectations, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming seafood spot in the Bowie area.

Strange. I've been to Jerry's a few times over the years, but apparently this is my first time reviewing it. Ambiance: Jerry's is a popular restaurant which creates a decent atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday after church hours, so we had about a 30 minute wait. The place was filled with families and an after church crowd. Service: Our waiter was friendly and efficient. He was also helpful with the menu. Food: The food was spot on. I do enjoy the crab bomb, even though it is what I call "rich people food". It is big enough that we took some home, and I feel that it tasted even better as a leftover. Otherwise, we enjoyed the crab soup, salad, wedges, and fish sandwich. Conclusion: We enjoyed our experience and we would definitely visit again, as this has been a PG county restaurant staple for years.

Jerry's is always a good time. Service is always on top and food is consistent. I ordered the crab imperial not pictured as my main. All 10s. Located right off the exit and plenty of parking.

    Crab Dip was really good!

Came here to try their famous "crab bomb": ten ounces of jumbo lump crab, lightly seasoned with Old Bay and baked to a golden brown with no filler! Jerry's Seafood is located in Bowie near the Bowie Town Center and there was ample parking. We came in and were shown to our table. The ambiance was minimalistic Cap Cod vibes with wood beam walls with touches of nautical items (ship wheels and pictures of tin-canned oyster containers). Our server, Eddie, was excellent. He was engaging, informative, and just had a wonderful vibe throughout our dining experience. He started us off with a basket of rolls: hot and fresh with softened butter. Our meal was starting off just as we'd hope. We started with the fresh crab dip which was rich and creamy topped with jumbo lump crab, chives and a touch of Old Bay served hot with a sliced baguette. This was my first time experiencing a crab dip so LIGHT and creamy. The Old Bay was not overwhelming, just the perfect compliment to the fresh, sweet jumbo lump crab. The baguettes were more than enough and were crisp on one side and soft on the other. This dip was exceptional. Next was our entree, the crab bomb was served with two sides ( we got the seasoned wedges and stewed tomatoes). The stewed tomatoes were fresh with a sweetness that brought back memories. The wedges were perfect: pillowy soft inside with a crisp seasoned coating. Now the crab bomb....this was exceptional: 10 ounces of all lump crab, baked to perfection; no need for additional seasonings or even a sauce; maybe a squeeze of fresh lemon. It was so sweet and delicate; one of the best I have had in a while. We also got a Mariner's Platter to go: a six ounce crab cake, flounder, fried shrimp, steamed shrimp, fried oysters, and fries scallops with two sides ( we chose two garden salads). The platter was a bit skimpy for $63 and it was just okay for us; the scallops were not edible AT ALL: they had a metallic taste that was present on the first bite, that was disappointing (this dropped our score from a 5 to 4 stars). The salads were fresh and we got the honey/lemon dressing. That dressing was SO good! I usually don't go for creamy dressing like this, BUT this dressing was so unexpectedly good! All in all, a great meal that I will drive to Bowie again for with no hesitation (except for the Mariner's Platter).

The food was amazing and the service was the same! While waiting for a table, the bar was a nice area to wait in and order some appetizers, but could be a little loud. The main dining area was spacious and even though it was full, the noise level was pretty nonexistent. It is pricey but I think worth it for an every now and then dining experience.

This was my 1st time eating inside, and I must say it was very nice. Our waitress time was almost true to what was told by hostess. I have ordered take-out from them several times, and have always enjoyed my meals. I ordered the crab bomb, coleslaw, and baked potato. My crab bomb had a real fishy taste to it, as if it had been sitting with fresh fish. Still good, but just a strong fishy taste, a little disappointed. Coleslaw was amazing definitely recommend. And you can never go wrong with a baked potato. Forgot to mention our appetizers were Beer Battered shrimp and crab dip. Shrimp very good and the crab dip was tasty, however a little too much mayo for my liking but still overall good and tasty. I'll be back to get those scallops. Sorry, I took photos after I started. I was a little hungry. Lol

Placed an order for pick up this evening. I didn't realized Jerry's closed so early on Sundays... Anyhoo my order was ready promptly at 750p as indicated when I placed my order. Arrived home and my food was nice and hot! Tonight I opted for the kids fried shrimp, as my appetizer and the crab bomb with side baked and veg of the day which was string beans as well as a side of coleslaw that I chose for my kids meal. I guess my crab bomb and sides will be tomorrow's dinner because I was full from the fried shrimp! A little bummed they forgot my cocktail sauce! But I should've checked the bag before leaving lol. Anyhoo- Jerry's is always consistent...fresh and delicious! Now I'm just thinking maybe I should've bought a piece of that delicious yummy coconut cake they have...& I don't even like coconut! Happy Yelping!

Yes sir and yes ma'am! When I tell you I'm so glad I tip toed over to try out this spot! I really like how the entire restaurant was set up...kind of old timey feel but at the same time a little upgraded. The restaurant is really large as I was walking through and when I was leaving I could tell it was huge. I was greeted and sat in the back of the restaurant in a booth. I LOVE seafood, was hungry, and I couldn't wait to look at the menu and start grubbing. So I started with a cup of she crab soup which was really thick, creamy, and had a nice amount of crab inside and on top of the soup. The only thing I would say it really needed more seasoning either salt or more old bay to liven it up. The steamed shrimp was seasoned perfectly and tasted so fresh. I saw in the corner a bar and was told it was fresh shucked oysters so I opted to get half a dozen. And the crazy part I really never liked raw oysters...but they have changed my mind because of how fresh they were with the horseradish and cocktail sauce...so good! I also ordered to go the famous crab bomb, green beans, and baked potato. I also got the sweet potato cake to go and when I tell you that cake was thicker than a snicker! It was so good I grabbed a bite when I first got home! I did have a couple of martinis which the watermelon was really good and a glass of wine. Oh and I can't forget the fresh bread and butter! And the bathrooms were so clean! The cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in a restaurant!! I did spend some money but what I got and how the food tastes it was real worth that bag I spent! I can't wait to go back!

Jerry's Seafood is known for their Crab Bombs, which is their 10 oz. jumbo lump crabcake. We were in the area and did a carryout order - you just whip your way around the restaurant, and there is a white tent that's set up near the entrance - you can also place to-go orders in person, if you wish! The Crab Bomb sometimes has good seasoning, but it's inconsistent - sometimes it can be bland; it is also more on the 'wet' side, where it seems like it's the amount of mayo that they use. The sides, such as the potato wedges (piping out and crispy!) and the coleslaw (had a nice sweetness to it), were both tasty! Avoid the crab dip - this had positive reviews, but the only plus was the sliced baguettes that were slightly toasted and thin; the dip was basically just cream cheese with some jumbo lump crab pieces on top. There was no flavor whatsoever and was super disappointing. Don't sleep on their sweet tea - we purchased an order, and ended up getting 2 more orders in. If you're a sweet tea fiend, try Jerry's version out! Service was friendly, and orders were ready at the estimated time. Parking can be a bit tight. +avoid the crab dip +crabcakes are wet +coleslaw +sweet tea +friendly service +tight parking
