Wow. We ordered a large 24" cheese pizza and a medium pepperoni pizza. Nothing to write home about. The crust was your basic white. Sauce was bland. Guess what they charged us. $50! Love the pizza. Saw this company's review on Yelp, and was curious about the high rating, especially because it is 5 minutes from our home. So my husband and I stopped by for a slice of pizza for lunch, while on our way to an appointment. Owner Paul was there which is always a great thing for a restaurant, the employee that was also there was helpful and friendly. We only had a slice each, pepperoni and sausage and a coke, but wow! So delicious, crusts light and crisp, flavorful and fresh. Will definitely back again. And again. We live across the street in the homestead. We come here all the time and get delivery quite often. I am a native New Yorker and this pizza is definitely the best I've had in Texas. Not only is their food amazing but their staff is wonderful! After a long afternoon of shopping I promised my two year old a slice of his favorite 'pizzie'. I didn't realize they were closed for lunch on Sunday, but when the staff realized I meant to come in the nicest man came out and told me they weren't open yet but had a couple of slices he'd be happy to give me to take home. I was born in Morristown and most of my family is from Jersey (although I grew up in NY). Just because you make a big pie, it does not mean that it qualifies as Jersey pizza. This pizza isn't even close. My wife keeps telling me that the water here is different, which is why the crust has such a bad taste and texture, but I think it's because they don't know how to make a real Jersey pizza. I am shocked at the horrible verbal abuse I just received from a lady who said she was the manager and owner of this location. My 18" specialty pizza (1/2 Family Farm and 1/2 Pepperoni + Ham) had the specialty toppings on 2 of the 4 pieces (1/2 a pizza), so I called just to let them know. The pizza came to $25 plus tip (20%). The first thing she said was that I was "exaggerating" because she made the pizza herself, and I respectfully disagreed...Then she said, "where do you live?" and I told her we live in ___ apartments, to which she replied, "oh, that explains a lot". I asked her what she meant by that, and she said, "oh, nothing, what do you want, your money back or what?", and I asked her what she meant by her comment. She said, "we always get complaints from those apartments, they're always trying to get pizza for free". I told her I never complained before, and she just bulldozed right over me and said, "what the hell do you want?". I was so shocked I didn't know what to say except to explain that the toppings were missing on most of the pizza and the onions were totally raw, and I was going to ask for a credit, but since she was being so offensive she could refund my money and I would return the pizza...then she hung up on me! I called back and asked to speak to the owner, and she said she was the manager and owner (which I find impossible to believe) and that she "wasted her time talking" to me already, so she hung up. I told her that her comment was discriminatory because she accused me of lying to get "free pizza" and that "apartment people" make up lies to get free pizza and always complain, and I said that was totally unprofessional of her. I told her I only expected a replacement or a store credit, but decided on a refund because of my experience, and she said, "what the hell is wrong with you, lady?" and hung up on me again right after telling me that I would have to go there to get my refund. NEVER AGAIN, what a horrible and offensive way to treat a customer! She made it personal and was a total bully. Now I'm trying to process this mentally so it doesn't ruin the rest of my day :( read more

As former NJ dwellers, we're still on our quest to find authentic, delicious NY-NJ style pizza in Austin. We tried this place out around 5 pm on Friday. The pizza here definitely resembled NJ pizza, although it didn't rank among the best NJ pizza I have had. The crust was too soft, especially around the edges. It lacked that bready crispness. It is very floppy--if you get sausage or meatballs, they just roll off when you pick a slice up, unless you fold it. Folding pizza is the NY way to eat it, but since I'm originally from the Midwest, I just don't like to fold my pizza. They advertise the pepperonies as "nj style," but I have never had a NJ pizza that used such small pepperonis. The pizza was also a little too saucy, and the mozzarella didn't have the right stretch. I like that they used chunks of Italian slices instead of slices or small crumbles (which is actually what most NJ places use, unfortunately). But the sausage itself was too spongy in texture and lacked a good fennel taste. However, the pizza was decent, overall. The staff was very nice, and the free drinks with the pizza were a nice touch. The place is very small, with only three stand alone tables--one of which was covered with tools and couldn't be used. The other two tables are counters with bar stools. The size options start with large (18") and just keep getting bigger. The price is reasonable for the amount of pizza you get plus the free drinks. If NJ Giant Pizza were close by, I would probably go there a lot. All the pizza near me is terrible. And it is worlds better than any chain pizza. But since it is about 30 minutes away, I probably won't be going back. Homeslice and Mandola's have better pizza. read more

Found this gem through a newspaper ad. Arrived to find the restaurant, bursting at the seams with pickup and takeout orders. Our group was the only one dining in and and we both ordered large pizzas- which made for great leftovers. The pizza was comparable to other local stores in taste but with much larger slices. The outdoor area could use some updating but the putting green and lawn chairs were great activities for the kids. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to those in Lakeway/Bee Caves/ Western Travis County area! read more

Be aware - the gluten free pizza is not gluten free. It made our friend very sick after eating it. We called afterwards and were told that they cannot promise that the pizza is actually gluten free. Well then you shouldn't claim that it is! The regular pizzas are pretty good though. read more

WOW, the slices are HUGE or should I say GIANT! Pizza is fantastic (the sauce and crust are noticeably better than your typical pizza place) and the people friendly. Stopped in on the way home. Ordered by phone and got there just before the place close (8pm?). Everyone was nice and the order was ready. Pizza was just ok. it was under-done, so baked it a bit more at home. My number one complaint was the garlic bread. $3.95 for two tasteless pieces of bread, and a tiny cup of (cold) sauce. Not going to lie - this place is next to a martial arts studio and a gas station in a somewhat sketchy looking mini-strip which gave us pause. Turns out you can't judge a book by its cover. Just as the gas station staff turned out to be friendly & helpful, Jersey Giant Pizza turned out to be a revelation. We stopped in during a pouring rain storm to have an early dinner and are SO GLAD we did. We enjoyed visiting with the young man behind the counter and watching the storm pass from the comfort of the small dining area. We ordered the Family Farm pizza and added pepperoni. Wow. It was so much better than we expected. We usually like a thin crackery crust, and this was thicker and more of a rich yeasted dough. It was awesome. Tremendous flavor, a soft fluffy texture, and a great crispy crunch on the bottom. The toppings were just right and the cheese was perfect. We will most definitely be eating here again.
