First time eating at this chain and was not impressed. One employee was particularly rude when I asked for a minute to look at the menu (no one was behind me) and then gave me an annoyed "no" when I asked if there were any more high chairs. This jersey mikes is the most consistent, amazing place you will ever find. You will not find a more consistent sub shop west of the Mississippi. This last visit was the peak of jersey mikes experiences. I didn't catch his name, but the person making my sandwich had longish hair, a gold cross necklace and looked like Jess from Gilmore Girls. He made the greatest sandwich I have ever tasted. He put on the perfect amount of turkey, roast beef, lettuce, onion, oregano, mayo, vinegar and oil perfectly balanced and spread out throughout the sandwich. A work of art - putting the Mona Lisa to shame. It hit the spot, not just physically, but spiritually as well. Since I couldn't eat in the restaurant due to Covid-19, I ate it in my car, then went back in and personally told the gentleman that he made the best sandwich I ever had (and gave him a little tip just for him). Overall, this jersey mikes is a beacon of light in a more rundown part of town, a sanctuary for the hungry, and a safe haven for the down-trodden. This is the jersey mikes to visit. This is my second review of these guys; I usually stop in here twice a month. One of my complaints last time was the pricing; since I've joined their email club I get a lot of coupons that helps bring the price of the sandwich down a little bit. Honestly there's not a lot of places in Boise to get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich or for that matter a chicken Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I find it to be the best one I've had in Boise I'm sure there are better we just don't have a lot of options in Boise. I find that the sandwich to be consistent the cheese is perfectly melted the onions and the peppers are fantastic overall it's a great sandwich. Like I said join their online club and they send out valuable coupons that makes it pretty reasonable to eat here. I honestly haven't tried a lot of other sandwiches but if you're looking for a great Philly cheesesteak sandwich this is definitely a place to try! read more

I would have given this place three stars, but when I ran my card to pay, the "DO YOU WANT TO TIP" question really irritated me. The employee actually said, "you have to answer a question before it will run your card," so their system is set up so that you have to be the jerk if you don't want to tip. We are too tip-happy in this country: businesses don't pay their employees enough and then expect the consumers to make up for it when they're already paying for overpriced food (like a $10 Jersey Mike sandwich). I'm more than happy to tip at a sit-down restaurant because a server is waiting on me; bringing my food, drink, etc. all to my table and I know that restaurant servers don't make a livable hourly wage, unlike sandwich shop workers. I spent years waiting tables, so I know how hard the work is. Plus, when the workers are just standing there talking to each other, acting like I'm putting them out by asking them to make me a simple sandwich, it doesn't exactly make me want to tip on an already overpriced sandwich, especially when I am pressured to tip. I won't go to this place again because I don't like being pressured to tip and then made to feel like an asshole if I don't. I've worked hard my whole life - some of it in restaurants- and I don't think I should have to make up for a multimillion dollar sandwich company's low pay scale. read more

Disappointed... i waited over 25 minutes today to find out they lost my order. Their ticket system is a disorganized mess, and this was at 11:30 before it was too busy. I think a guy that came in 10 minutes after me and was about 5 orders behind mine ended up with my food. The subs are great at other locations. I came with a $2.00 off coupon, I put it on the counter when I was paying and the guy did not see it and did not apply it. I said can you redo it ! He proceeded to do something on the register and said that should do it. Well, it did not when I checked my credit card and I kind of knew this would happened as he never gave me a corrected receipt. The food gets a 5 star rating. Our food tasted great. The cost gets a zero. The menu is grossly overpriced compared to the competition. The service gets a 1. It should not take 3 workers over ten minutes to prepare 2 sandwiches in a restaurant void of any other customers. Unfortunately when one worker is too busy flirting with her boyfriend, rather than making our order, we got to wait unnecessarily. I can only imagine the fiasco during lunch hour. If I could afford to waste anymore time here, laughing at the lunch rush fiasco would be the only reason to return. A bit pricey but really good. They have a tangy pepper spread that goes well with the Italian cold cut. This is a really gooood sandwich.

The service was good and the food was even better. I went to Blimpies and Jimmy Johns few days prior, and they are so much better than those places. They also serve tastycakes, which is a product only available in Philly, Delaware and Jersey, which are a delicious east coast childhood memory. I'll be back for sure. read more

Ordered 2 sandwiches online and came to pick up 20 minutes later and they hadn't even started making them yet. These workers are incompetent and didn't even say a word to my friend and I when we walked in to pick up our "to go" order. We stood there for about 5 minutes before saying something to them and when we did they just said were working on that order for you. I'm very angry and will not be coming to this location again. How does it take two employees over 30 minutes to make 2 simple sandwiches when it's not even crowded in there either. Very slow workers. Extremely dissatisfied with my experience. read more

Jersey Mikes has the best sub by far in the valley. I have tried all the other sandwich shops and Jersey Mikes is best hands down. The quality of meats, the good customer service, the attention to detail to make the sandwich exactly as it is requested is what has me frequenting this location 2-3 times a week. I grew up back east and this is the closest sandwich to what I grew up with. My favorites are the #13 the Italian and the 17 cheese steak you cannot go wrong with either one. The only thing I am disappointed in, is when I went there today for my regular Sunday before football fix I found they were not open before 11, when I looked on line it looks like they may have changed the opening to 12 instead if 10,. This must have just happened today as I was there yesterday at 11, this makes me sad as it will now be out of my lunch rotation as my lunch is at 11. I hope this is a very short temporary change to the hours. I hope I can add back into my heavy lunch rotation again very soon. read more

i absolutely love this location. most times i go in there's no line but when there's is it's fast. i get a sandwich at least 5 a month and ive only ever had one problem and they were happy to give us free sandwiches for the inconvenience. everyone in there is so outgoing and fun, mostly the guys but the girls are super nice too. i like other sandwich places but i highly recommend JM over a lot of them. thank you to the employees for always making my visit enjoyable and my sandwiches amazing! read more

The sandwiches I have had so far have been very good. My son and husband really like them too. The order online and phone app are very easy to use. However, multiple times that I have ordered on my phone app tells me the time it will be ready. I get to the Jersey Mike's at the time I was told. Not only do they not have it ready or even started my order, they don't even realize they had an order to make. They finally see my order and tell me they will start on it now unapologetically. Also,there were no other customers ordering at that time that I was there. This for the State street location, I have not yet been to the other location. read more

I was excited to see a Jersey Mike's. Being from California, you don't see a whole lot of businesses from there up here. I was disappointed because of timing, and the services. The girl at the register was like 16-18 and just mentally not there. The little Hispanic girl was rude because it was 8:15. The bread was very dry and the lettuce tasted/looked like they hadn't changed it out at all. I asked the cashier if the manager was around and she said they didn't have one which is soooo reassuring about the business.
