MIKE'S WAY OR THE HIGHWAY I've typically had great experiences at Jersey Mike's, but this one in Bolingbrook seems to be lacking. My preferred sub sandwich place is close to the house, and I come here at least several times a year. This one is on Weber Rd, across the street from Meijer, and in the same corner as Chili's / Oberweis. I have the JM rewards app, and for some reason the points rack up WAY faster than at other places (unlike those assholes at Jimmy John's). I've been able to redeem complimentary subs left & right, plus you get a free regular sammy on your birthday. They also offer double points days every once in a while, a nice perk. I'm a fan of the Jersey Shore favorite (#2), which comes with provolone, ham, and cappacuolo. I always ask for it prepared "Mike's way": onion, lettuce, tomato, olive oil, vinegar and dry spices like oregano. The red pepper relish is a MUST on any cold sub, it's an absolutely magical condiment. The chipotle cheesesteak (#43) with sliced steak, peppers, grilled onions and white American cheese is pretty decent. A regular is $9, not cheap, but not wildly overpriced either. Most cold subs range from $7-10, 'giant' versions are $14-16. Chips + drink are $4. There was a huge line around noon on 1/11/23, about a dozen people deep. Workers were doing their best -- it was all hands on deck -- but still was the longest I've ever had to wait at a JM, or any sub place for that matter. Things were fairly chaotic and more than a bit disorganized....there were loads of partially-made sandwiches stacked up by the slicer. Last trip here, I wasn't greeted or thanked, and they forgot my request for extra mayo (I got none at all). Not a problem, since I've got plenty of mayo at home, but I've never encountered an issue with missed toppings at any other Jersey Mike's location, so yeah. Could be better. * TL;DR * Between the rosemary parmesan bread and the pepper relish, I'm a Jersey Mike's fanboy for L-I-F-E. A subpar (hah! sub) couple of trips doesn't change my opinion of this chain that much. Even though the employees aren't super friendly and there's been intermittent issues, they'll still get my business going forward. read more

It's a chain, but the food is well done and fresh. A narrow floor plan with plenty of seating, refills on the soda, clean bathrooms, I am a regular. Staff has my order done as quick as I can fill my drink. Always a pleasant greeting, I've never had a bad experience here. read more

First time coming here. Came here on my lunch break. It's a bustling location and currently in the process of renovated. I don't normally get Jersey Mike's but I wanted to get their Supreme Club sandwich. Though it was hard to hear the person because of the mask (nobody's fault) The sandwich was perfect. The staff in its entirety are very friendly and great multi Taskers too I may add because we did have a complicated order. On top of that, I love that this place has cream soda. I can see why the low rating, I ordered 7 sandwiches for the group that was at my house, when I received my order there were 7 sandwiches wrapped but none of them were marked with the numbers that we ordered, I think that would be a good practice for you to start doing, this way I could just hand them to the person who ordered that number, instead I had to open each sandwich and find out what it was and what was on it, what a mess I hope you think about marking them from now on, it would save a lot of time and it would be much more convenient for the customers. read more

I've been doing there since the week they opened. Lately the food seems to be going downhill. (Employees are still nice and friendly.) However, bought 3 subs last night and both the white bread AND rosemary parmesan breads felt like the were ALL day old and stale. Plus, while I asked for extra cheese on my wife's #13, she also somehow.got double.meat which was inedible for her. We threw out most of our $40 meal (3 regular subs). The service here is bad. We had ordered online today and picked up. When the food got back we didn't receive the $2 can of root beer nor the extra meat on a sandwich we paid $12 for. We called in to tell them about the issue and was instantly meet with a poor attitude. *joline, which is what I think they said their name was very rude and confrontational. They argued with me about the sandwich, and kept trying to talk down to me. Now I eat a Jersey Mike's often, maybe a couple times a month at have gone to many different locations. Outstanding food as usual. Now the reason for the 1 star and why I won't return. They have a sign on door that says no one admitted without a mask per order of governor. I walk in an the person in front of me has no mask on and nobody questioned him. Took his order and gave him his food. The person who finished the order had her mask below her nose which means she provided no protection and easily could contaminate every order including doordash, etc. I have been a loyal customer that came to store or ordered online throughout the pandemic. They won't ever get an order from me again. Hopefully another Jersey Mikes is around or its time for Jimmy Johns. I have cancer and hope to not die from this virus. Not understanding the hype going on about this place. I was told by quite a few people that Jersey Mike's was the best sub shop out there, and that I needed to try it. Here is the breakdown of Jersey Mike's in my hierarchy of chain sub shops: A little bit Above Subway, way, way way, above the crap they churn out at Jimmy Johns, but this place cannot hold a candle to my love of Potbelly's. I went during a busy lunch period, but there were about fifteen employees behind the counter, so everything was running smoothly, and the line was moving rather quickly. That was the only major positive of my visit. I ordered a roast beef sub with onions, pickles, seasoning, and their signature vinegar and oil. They make a big production out of shaking all this vinegar and oil onto your sub, but in the end, it really lacks any sort of flavor; just adds a bunch of moisture to the bread, which causes it to become a little soggy. The sandwich, like I said, was just really blah. The best part about it, was they actually use real deli roast beef; you could actually see the grains of the meat, instead of the smooth processed shit at other places (yeah, Arby's, I'm calling you out!) While at the register, the cashier was pushing everyone to sign up for some e-discount sort of club, so I did. What the hell could it hurt? Well, halfway through lunch, my inbox is blowing up with at least five emails from this joint. I know it was not the fault of the restaurant, but it also took me two months to get off their frigging email list. I really cannot say that I would be back here, since Potbelly's is right across town. If I did, perhaps I would have better luck with one of their hot, toasted subs. As far as chain sub joints go, this is my favorite. It's clean, has a couple TV's, nice employees and most importantly the food is good. I always get the Philly steak because it's as close to authentic as you can find anywhere around. I think it's a fantastic sandwich. As far as people that don't like the chatty employees, get over yourselves. Every time I walk in this place I'm greeted with a smile and a "Hello. How are you today?". I don't care if they mean it or not. It's nice. It makes me feel welcome. I'm not the most social guy in the world, but I'll indulge the "script". They're cutting my meat and making my sandwich, the least I can do is play along. Would you rather walk into Subway or Quizno's where almost every employee seems pissed off to see you as you try to struggle through a language barrier to get a lesser sandwich made? There are some hot stuff that I might prefer like I really enjoy Firehouse Subs but they just have a totally different menu. It's really nice to have so many sandwich options while you're working around Chicagoland suburbs and whatnot. It was great when I went to the one in Orland Park. I was taken back at how friendly everyone that worked there was. My wife said the radio was a little loud but you know what they say if it's too loud then your too old. I prefer JM over Jimmy johns or subway any day. I don't get it Mikes way because I can't stand mayonnaise and they do put a lot on it. But a simple solution would be to simply ask them not to put that much on it. Love, love, love!!!!!! Best place for sandwiches(better than jimmy johns). Everything is fresh and cut right in front of you. The bread is made daily and the toppings are crisp!! The staff is decent at this location. There is one guy in particular who you can tell knows what he is doing, all the others are just high school kids who have no idea what to do. I stopped in since these places are popping up all over the place. For the money I paid for a reuben, i was SEVERELY underwhelmed. It was all sauce. The bread was fluffy, but I couldn't taste it at all.... over the sauce. The pastrami seemed ok, but I couldnt taste it, over the sauce.... The saurkraut was really mild, almost like it wasnt there. When you walk in here, the counter is an actual deli counter with cold meats just like one you would find at a deli. They cut the meats fresh for cold sandwiches and cook them on the spot for hot ones. I've never been disappointed. The bread isn't anything special, but at the same time you get the impression that it's just a no-frills, well-made bread. It doesn't taste like there are a lot of fillers and preservatives. There are a lot of sandwiches I haven't tried, because the ones I have tried are too good to stray away from. I usually either get a Chipotle Cheese Steak or a Club Supreme. We were anxious to try this place when it first opened and we haven't been disappointed. Decent variety of sandwiches to choose from. I would still take Jimmy John's bread over Jersey Mike's bread, but I like the hot sandwich options here. I don't get my sandwiches "Mike's Way" so I can't attest to the overly generous use of sauce others have mentioned. But my Philly Cheese steak and Chicken Parm have always been delicious. Although, if I'm to be nit picky, I would prefer the red sauce on the Chicken parm sandwich to be a touch less sweet. Previous reviews have mentioned the phony attitude of the employees, and I can definitely see where they are coming from. It can be a bit much, but I generally thought the enthusiasm was earnest, especially when it came to paying attention to 8 yr old son. My kids now prefer Jersey Mike's over the other sub chains. And most of the employees at this location are very friendly. They encourage tips, and they seem to want to work to earn them which is a good thing. Two other tips: order the Giant size and ask them to pack it as 2 sandwiches, it's a enough for 2 meals. And the pickles are really good, they slice them for you too. They also now have a very good gluten free bun option, and offer to sanitize their sandwich area if your sensitivity is high. read more

I tried to purchase a dozen rolls (only) to make cheesesteaks on Super Bowl Sunday (Phila. is in the Super Bowl). They would not sell the rolls only. I explained I was from Phila. and that I knew a company from NJ would be the place to get rolls for this occasion. Disappointed they would not take advantage of this opportunity. The food is fine but the management at this establishment sucks . The store managers name is Joel and he's excessively rude to his staff and creates a hostile work environment. He yelled at an employee in front of customers and was unpleasant to talk to. He should work on the way he treats staff and customers as well. I'm really surprised to see the low reviews. I think this is the best sub joint in Bolingbrook by far. I really like that they slice the deli meat and cheese right when you order rather than grab from a pre-made tub. Also, their bread is soooo good, much better than Jimmy John's, Poo Belly, Subway, etc. I really like that they have a mini sized sub, not too big, not too small. The employees are all very nice. There is one guy that works there that always seems to remember what the customers order...kind of gives it a mom and pop feel. I would say the only down side is the location. It's right on Weber but the strip mall it's in is a pain to get to. read more
