She apologized, took my card and returned with a refund receipt and, a ticket for a free meal Lorena apologized again and said she did not know what happened noting that she thought I had only ordered a concrete mixer clarified that I had ordered cheese curds, and expressed my disappointment. She asked if I would please give the restaurant another chance, but I was not given an explanation for customers who ordered after me receive their food while I did not the experience has made me very hesitant to eat at this location again.

The lemonade tastes, freshly squeezed with yummy bits, but not too much. It's got the perfect amount of sweetness and tart. I'm pretty excited about this new location. Then, after a couple of good bites, I discovered that most of the pretzel was burned on the bottom. I noticed the unexpected charred flavor first, and then discovered the blackened dough. Ugh! But I was driving at this point and didn't have time to go back to the store. At almost $6 for a pretzel, I don't know if I'll try another one here. My Jamba Juice smoothie was delicious - no complaints there! The place was fully staffed and the employees were friendly. My total check was almost $15 for one pretzel and a medium smoothie. On a positive note, I had a $10 Jamba Juice gift card, and because these three shops are combined and checkout is at one register, I was able to apply it to both my smoothie and my pretzel.

I took both for takeout. As I drove home, I could smell the fries and I couldn't wait, so I grabbed a few at a stop light, I'm sure you all have done it. When I arrived, the fries were still crisp and hot and so was the pizza puff. The fries just bring me back to living in the Northside of Chicago and walking to the a fast food joint to order fries and play video games. The pizza puff was so good! I found $13 to be rather expensive for such food of limited quality. While there are limited pickings at this intersection, and I like to support local businesses, I was disappointed by Niki's. Got a bunch of the other local items as well, got them delivered and they came in pretty quickly. The polish sausage was a highlight. Grilled with plenty of onions. Simple but tasty, and the bread was soft and collapsed down to nothing. The Chicago dog, we got it as is and the flavor combo works. Vinegar from the pickled veggies, sweet from the peppers, a good beef dog and an easily compromised but soft roll. The tamale was not bad. Lacking spice and flavor in the masa, but it was girthy and filled with chicken. Not pictured was a single meatball. The meatball was too dense, but the ragu had a good strong tomato base and lots of umami. The sauce was good, the meatball was lacking. For a quick bite, it's pretty good. I'm sure there's some local shops that can put them to shame, but as a traveler it hits all the spots.
