Never have I found a home in a sandwich shop quicker and more amazingly then with this jersey mikes. I used to live in Encinitas and I moved recently to carlsbad. I was thrilled when I discovered there was a jersey mikes right by my new place. From past experience i knew i liked their subs. Honestly good food. BUT. when i walked into this location i 1. Made a friend for life. And 2. Grew loyalty for this chain. VAL IS AMAZING. 100% best customer service around. She made me feel so valued and loved from the moment she welcomed me through the door. As a food service worker myself for a chain that values customer service (Starbucks) I always appreciate when workers go above and beyond to create an amazing experience. Val does that and more. Her skill within the job is stellar for one but honestly what got me was how genuinely kind and refreshing she was. I continue to come to this location at times even when I'm craving other food because I just wanna see Val and her jersey mikes experience. Honestly I don't want it mikes way. I want it Val's way. Never again!! This review is for camino real location where they always find a way to screw up your order or not have it ready when they tell you to pick it up every time. You always have to wait 20 minutes or more past your pickup time or having to return to the store when you find out they hosed your order. read more

I have been singing the praises of Jersey Mikes. Finally, my friend said, OK lets go...We Doordashed, which was great! But the quality of the sandwich I am used to was on the Subway level. I D I S L I K E subway with my entire body...the lettuce was wilted not enough "Juice", not enough spices. It was as if they needed to get the sandwiches done because they had to snapchat the rest of the day. My location in Vista is the GREATEST!! Great customer service has become a rarity and it is unfortunate, but there are those times when the overall experiance needs to be addressed. Its easy for an employee to go through the motions in a chain restaurant and my experiance today was far from that. Driving back to LA from SD I stopped for lunch... decided a sandwhich over pho... Glad I did. Jordan, Val, Gavin, Alexis, and Gus (hoping i didn't miss anyone) provided a level of customer experiance closer to what is expected at Disneyland or maybe a family owned retaurant. Millennials get a bad rap in the workplace for their work ethic... This group is an exception to that. This location is consistently terrible in customer service. Unfortunately it seems like they are trying to build large take out orders in between walk in customers, and the walk in customer always loses. Once they are ready to take your order they rush you through through rudely, not even able to keep track of which order is yours and which large order they are building . I'll use the Oceanside locations, either Mission or Oceanside Blvd going forward to avoid the horrendous employee attitudes here, especially Alexis. Sub tasted good. Service was poor. Price is over $7 for a 6" sub. Few toppings. No choice of bread either. If money isn't an object and you're ok with argumentative employees, then this is the place. I've been coming to this Jersey Mike's once or twice a week for over a year. On many occasions, the service has been great and the subs are terrific. I always leave a tip when the service is good. Sadly, I've also witnessed unsanitary conditions and received poor service on some occasions. Today was one of those bad days. Here's my complaint: I got to the counter and saw the onion bin was virtually empty. There was one layer of onions sitting in some water and lettuce and other spilled ingredients. I really didn't want soggy onions that had been sitting at the bottom of the bin all day. I told the sub-maker that I liked lots of onions and asked if we could get some fresh ones. His response was, "there's a few pieces left and some lettuce fell in, but you're good to go". He then scraped the onions from the bottom of the bin and put them on my sub. I almost walked out but I was hungry and didn't want to drive to another place. In my opinion, his response reflects poor service. Not only did I get less onions than I wanted, but they were soggy as well. I'm a regular customer and I just wanted non-soggy onions from the other bin ten feet away. The main reason I switched from Subway to Jersey Mike's was because the ingredients at JM's seem more fresh. But not today. read more

Love coming here. They have the best sandwich. I always go with Mike's way. I tried a wrap this time. It was quite good. If you do not want the carbs then the wrap is a great alternative. Terrible staff they close 20 min prior to store closing time. If you arrive within that 20 min window of time the staff makes you feel like an inconvenience. The management at this location needs to pick up the slack. Very uncomfortable non inviting experience. I shouldn't have to feel bad or like I'm inconveniencing the staff because I come in a little bit before closing time. This place was highly recommended by my coworkers. It was also highly recommended to order a hot sandwich. I ordered a hot sub combo to go which came to over $9, more than what I'm used to paying for subs. I figure this will REALLY be a good sub for that price. As I'm waiting, I notice those who ordered after me were getting their food. Okay, any minute now my order will come up. A server asked if I was waiting for the hot sub, I said yes. He apologized and said he'll start it for me right away. I know that hot subs take longer, but you're telling me all that time it wasn't even grilling? I finally got my sub and told myself if this is good, I'll forget about my long wait. What happened next? My sub didn't have 1/2 of the things the menu said it came with. I went to this Jersey Mike's location this week on Wednesday the 19th after work. I was warmly greeted by the three male employees working behind the counter while they helped another customer. I ordered the philly cheese regular and even got a cookie for being a first time customer! The sandwich was hot and delicious, the restaurant is clean, and the employees were really nice. Natalie, the manager, knows everyone's name and has the friendliest way about her. Everyone says hi to me by name and they all are extremely on-the-ball. They are quick, accurate, kind, funny and good at what they do. I like how I can just order it and then walk in after a few minutes and go right to the pick up area and pay and then jump in my car again. Being from the Philadelphia area and also moving up from PB I was STOKED to see a jersey mikes move in down the street from my place. The service at this location is EASILY five star! Every time I come in they don't just say hi what can I get started for you...they greet me, ask how my day was, where I'm from, they give me suggestions, everything you could ask for in a 5 star environment. Management here is clearly doing a great job too...and they even went in the back once to find out if they had more krimpets...a real Philadelphian will understand that.
