It's been awhile and decided to give this location a try again and felt mediocre about this specific location. I am a fan of Surf Bro Teriyaki because 1) best teriyaki I've had in SD county 2) owners are from Seattle area so they know about the teriyaki scene and how it should be executed - Seattle does teriyaki best. But their Encinitas place ok. I'm ok taking the extra drive to the Carlsbad location if need be for a better experience. CHICKEN TERIYAKI ($14.69) - walking in and seeing them grill the chickens was exciting to see! That grill flavor! Ordered my usual and when the plate arrive I felt that the chicken was spreaders over the rice to make it look fuller but I felt that I got way less chicken than I had before. I moved all the chicken to the side for my video to make it appear more fuller but I should have taken a real picture because the amount of chicken looked like a kids meal (if you view the picture on their menu).
