I must confess... I have been eating the food here for over a year but this is my first review. Why? We usually order online and one of my family members goes to pickup the order. Yesterday was the first time I've ever been inside the restaurant. Since it was a spur of the moment visit, I went inside to place an order. I was surprised to find the place virtually empty, since it was a bit after 3 p.m. on. Thursday afternoon. It was bright and clean inside, and the A/C was working perfectly. (I was feeling quite warm that day.) I was helped right away. I ordered four different sandwiches. The young fellow who took my order was very friendly and patient with me. It was my first time ordering; he was totally upbeat and helpful! Then another employee came out to help with the order, as a couple additional customers had entered the restaurant. He was also very friendly and upbeat! (I'm sorry - I should've gotten their names. Next time I'll remember!) Both guys were incredibly good at their jobs! They were able to make all of the subs quickly and correctly. It was pretty impressive, actually! They made it look so easy... and it definitely isn't that easy! I'd completely forgotten that we are members of their points program and they reminded me. All I had to do was enter my phone number in the keypad. I had enough points to get the mini sub for free! Located next to Norm's, parking was plentiful but located in the congested South Bay Pavilion shopping center. Restaurant is newer and very clean and beautiful inside! Man when I found out about the viral TikTok sandwich, I became addicted to this place. I never knew how good Jersey Mikes was until TT and now it's been a once a week type of thing. This location I do love because the workers are always so nice to me and they talk to you with so much positive energy. The establishment itself is also very clean. Use to look forward to having Jersey Mike's, but the last 2 visits my family has been disappointed with the food. I had to return the food the last time and have them remake the sandwich. This time it was so dry I can't imagine ordering from the Avalon Blvd store ever again. The servers seem well trained and the business is very clean upon entering. I normally come to this location for lunch but I will never come here again. I had an encounter with the cashier named Alma when I inquired about my online order, she was not approachable, rude and looked very unhappy to be at work. Overall this location tends to get busy around noon, the customer service doesn't stand out but all in all I have never had an issue with the staff. When I confronted her about her attitude she was disrespectful nor did any of her colleagues interfere to improve the matter. I am not a difficult customer but I do value a certain level of respect when I'm a paying customer and when im respectful to others. I've only ever been to smoked subs twice. This second time, Brandon made my sandwich. Shout out to Brandon for making a great meal! I ordered a giant Chicken sub with bacon and avocado, Mikes way and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS!! Before he even began making my sandwich, he cleaned up his entire working area which I appreciate. My sandwich was SO perfect! I even signed up for their rewards program while I was there because he said after 4pm you get double points. Not much to say about this place I really like their rosemary bread. I don't eat meat so the only thing I can get there is the veggie sandwich. oh but now they have a mushroom sandwich. It's grilled chopped mushrooms and onions with melted Provolone cheese, well my choice oh done Mike's way. I think if you're into cheese, I think there's Swiss, get the kind you like. I visited this location around 5:30pm today and order my usually Turkey w/ provolone cheese the mikes way! The taste of the Mikes way seasoning they usually add was off today... I just taste one seasoning that overpowered the other and the sandwich ... it's was soooooo gross I tossed it in the trash... I was so disappointed & to comfortable to return back after taking two bites. Yesterday, I opened the bag in front of the guy and told him in a very nice way what was missing and he didn't even apologize. He put it in the bag and walked away.
