After a long day of running errands with my son, we were tired and hungry. It was time to EAT! Since we were already in Trader Joes's shopping center, we have noticed that Jersey Mike has officially opened their doors and the crowd was slowly coming in. I have never tried their sandwiches before and always wanted to try them. There is always a first time for everything. So since Chop Stop is no longer there, we decided to go in and try their sandwiches. I have to say it was pretty good, size wise was pretty BIG, LONG, and filled our bellies happily well. I was impressed. I got their combo with chips and drink... giant #56 sandwich on toasted Rosemary bread which is called The BIG KAHUNA.Cheese Steak sandwich. It was generously filled with grilled onions, green grilled bell peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños, and extra white American cheese. I opted for Swiss Cheese instead of American Cheese. I thought Swiss will taste better in that sandwich and it did. My son got their mini #7 Turkey & Provolone sandwich with lettuce and tomato and it is one of their most popular cold cut sandwiches. (According to their menu). He thought it was bland, I took a bite and it was fine to me. Both sandwiches were very FRESH & TASTY!! Great service by Julian who was very nice, kind, helpful with a nice smile on his face. Good ambiance inside, but we chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful mid day and the sun was setting. Place was very clean and comfortable setting. One important factor for me is that IT HAS A BATHROOM(CLEAN) AND WE CAN USE IT!! Thank GOD! Plenty of parking spaces and will return again since it's close to home & when I am in a mood for a gourmet sandwich! Keep up the good work employees of Jersey Mike and management!!

With a sandwich shop being my very first job, I thought I would be past my sandwich phase but I guess it wasn't just a phase mom. I've been eating at Jersey Mike's for a few months before moving to LA. After moving to LA, I was happy to know that there were a few in the city. I was exploring the city and stopped right at the new Jersey Mike's in Studio City for a quick lunch. I walked in was greeted by the very kind employees. The restaurant wasn't too busy which made the store was pretty clean when I walked in and I was helped pretty quickly. My go-to order is always the Club Sub or Chipotle Steak Sub with a bag of chips and a cookie. I crave Jersey Mike's at least once or twice every couple of weeks so I'm happy to know that there is one right in Studio City. I will be back.

Dip every bite in ketchup. Washed down with an ice-cold Dr. Brown's Cream Soda, it was classic deli comfort at its best. The service was friendly, helpful, and efficient, making it easy to relax and enjoy the afternoon. Earlier in the day, we baked a fresh loaf of sourdough and delivered it to one of her childhood friends a simple act that set the tone for a day built around sharing and reconnecting. From there, we stepped into her past, visiting her elementary school and both of her childhood homes while hearing stories that made each stop come alive. The afternoon ended at her friend's house, where we were greeted by three playful foster kittens and the legendary Miss Clyde, the resident squirrel who seemed just as much a part of the family as everyone else. Some Yelp experiences are about finding a great meal. Others remind you that the best days are made of good food, old memories, kind people, and a little adventure. This Sunday had all of it.

And the generous side of caesar dressing is the very BEST I've ever had. Wish I could have saved it and slathered it on everything. The Turk sando was very good, but more like a 4/5. Solid fillings and good ratios, but not a WOWER. Added chips and 2 desserts: the chocolate chip cookie which was outrageous, loaded with chocolate in every bite, and the lemon olive oil cake was divine. Pro tip: do not skip out on the desserts. Our order was accurate and pickup was easy. Prices were fair. Will visit again, especially for the wraps.

One of the seasonal specials is the Martha which is an upgraded version of chicken salad (Tarragon chicken salad, apples, shaved fennel, arugula, basil, lemon, garlic aioli on grilled Ciabatta, $16) which sounded pretty good. I placed the order online and headed over to this busy section of Studio City. Street parking can be tricky especially in the afternoon, and there are 'parking ticketers' out in force. This was my first time here at this location, but they had a handy takeout window at the one end, and a friendly guy handed me the bag. As for the food, I could only eat half of the sandwich; one reason is because it was a Lot of sandwich and second, I didn't really enjoy this for the most part (I did give the other half to a hungry co-worker who did like it). Then my favorite part, the cookies. I ordered two orders (two come in an order) so I had four to enjoy. The first bag was a decent sized pair of cookies, but they shafted me on the second order. This was basically one cookie cut to make two which was clearly noticeable compared to the other order. I was too far to return these but next time, it's something I will check on before leaving. I didn't have this problem the first time I came here (even though it was a different location) but as for anything, I recommend checking your order prior to leaving. Otherwise, I will be returning to Ggiata but maybe for a classic Turk or Antonia, or even the arancini side-

"Grandma's Hands" sums up the comfort many of us associate with Grandma's cooking. The owners and employees are doing a five-star job at forwarding that kind of comfort to the community and customers here. First of all, everything is freaking deliciousness! Admire the always-on-point "People Love Us On Yelp" sign as you arrive. The free parking lot offers nice and ample parking spaces for disabled customers as well as tables upon arrival which can comfortably accommodate wheelchairs. Now don't get me wrong, I love fancy gastronomy featuring tres Nouveau French culinary techniques just like you but I absolutely ADORE borscht, stuffed cabbage and plav equally. (Even more sometimes!) I've been shopping here and picking up takeout here for a long time. My experiences have only been better over the years. The discounts can be incredible and I appreciate sale-priced groceries in today's economy as well as the opportunity to support local and international farms. Sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, low sugar and no sugar added cookies, pastries and cakes, caviar, dried fish, pickled Herring, perfectly ripe berries, smoked fish, halva, cheese spread, jams, and artisan teas, all five stars. But wait. Is it a Russian-American market where I find the most Ukrainian imported groceries and ways to support Ukrainian farming?! Yep! +Heart hands emoji+ This market does a great job of offering a nice seat and friendly conversation to the average dine-in customer. Stop by to sip on an imported pear juice. Try a bite of fresh cream cheese cake with berries. Ask for advice! Go for the Beef Plav which is an employee favorite. The Beef Plav here contains a generous amount of tender, lean beef with carrots, savory buttery rice and whole softly roasted garlic cloves. Yum! (Five stars!) I've found some especially healthy and nutritious food here for my health recovery goals recently. About six years ago, I had been exposed to high levels of radiation according to a good old fashioned Geiger counter. My health began to drastically decline and I became very weak. I could barely stand and I barely survived. I knew about a famous brave Ukrainian woman who had survived radiation exposure thanks to her unborn child. Her survival story led to me requesting female cancer screenings which led to the surgeries that saved my life. (**Confetti flying **) There's a very long list of doctors and people who have helped me survive and recover to whom I live for in gratitude. Our commitment to the people and values which help us survive the impossible compels us to rise to the occasion of coming back stronger and better than we ever could have accomplished before or alone. So I'm drinking bone broth, eating extra protein, taking vitamins. And lifting weights with steadfast determination to recover my strength and then some. (Go Navy!) No market has helped me more in this health effort than this hidden gem. (Many thanks!) I am the customer who buys ALL the boxes of pastilla. (SORRY OTHER CUSTOMERS!) Pastilla is a layered pastry made of baked apples and eggs white, no sugar and nothing else! It's a miracle of a snack! Tastes like apple cake, made of egg whites. Protein in my car after working out? Five million stars. ***** To all y'all spending big bucks on cold bone broth, consider the chilled chicken gelatin dish here. Khoolidets? -It's rich with real collagen, high in protein and perfectly balanced with firm carrots and vegetables.I love this dish! Five stars. A real life look young dish! Order online and have some jump out of the car to pick up your order. There is no seating inside but maybe a chair or two outside. The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges so you may want to get that food to go. We tried three sandwiches and they were all huge. The crispy chicken caesar wrap is phenomenal and I am not one who usually orders this particular sandwich anywhere. It comes with a creamy sauce that I might have drank directly from the little cup. The wrap is packed full of chicken and it is refreshing and excellent. It doesn't look huge but trust me, the wrap is packed full and you will be plenty satisfied. The Antonia sandwich comes with turkey, cheese, avocado, tomato, and garlic aioli. It isn't all that unique a creation but for what it is, it is very fresh and very good. It came loaded with delicious turkey. The Martha sandwich (chicken salad, apples, fennel, argula, herbs, etc.) is on special right now. Personally, I am not a big chicken salad guy but you get a lot of it and the person in our party who ordered it liked it a lot. We also tried the arancini and they were excellent. You get three arancini balls and fantastic vodka sauce on the side. This is a winner. To be honest, practically the entire menu sounds great to me. The staff is uniformly friendly, the place is clean as a whistle, and they have an impressively extensive menu for a small restaurant. I ordered the 2nd Avenue, which is their version of Langer's #19: Pastrami (or corned beef) on rye with Swiss, Cole Slaw, and Russian Dressing. The sandwich is a generous portion, and nicely composed: it's very easy for such a stack to fall apart, but theirs stays intact. The pastrami was warm and juicy without being fatty, and the Swiss had a nice funk that was tamed by the sweetness of the Russian Dressing. The final component, the Cole Slaw, was a really nice surprise: creamy, though the cabbage retained its crunch and enough of its true taste to give the usually-forgettable condiment some memorable character. The potato salad on the side was top quality, but had a bit too much egg and mustard for my taste. My wife's Breakfast Combo of Scrambled Eggs, French Toast, and Bacon was standard issue and nothing to write home about. In fact, it seemed on a completely different level than my sandwich, and you can get much better expressions of this diner staple at many other local places. I think at a deli like this, your best bet for breakfast is to stick with the "deli style" choices, such as Lox & Eggs & Onions or Pastrami & Eggs, etc. Our server, Crystal, was friendly and helpful and took very good care of us, checking in several times during the meal, even though the place got increasingly busy and she took on a bunch of other tables. She's a good egg. All in all, a nice lunch for me and a so-so breakfast for my wife. But we will be back before long, and I'm excited to see what the next visit will bring.
