I went to order a sandwich and they just ignored me like I wasn't standing there so I left and went to subway instead.

Never once asked what i wanted on sandwich. I was ordering for someone, had list, said be sure Mike stuff in then I'm told sandwich done. I asked dude what in sandwich he said he had no clue. Tried calling and had girl that initially "helped" answer and hang up. So, guess very poor establishment if I've literally can not be allowed to order before being told cost and handed product. Ordered sub online. Went in the store and none of the employees were wearing masks and there were no signs suggesting wearing masks for customers. My first response was to contact customer service as this is not a safe practice during a pandemic. After 5 days customer service has not responded so I am writing this review. I've used the drive thru quite often and never a problem. Never have gone in. Usually made quickly, and tasty. Occasionally I'll get a sub with so much lettuce I can't taste the meat. The employees are very friendly---I do realize there may be a wait in this covid age. One area of concern is the entire area around this little strip mall. It's F I L T H Y. I do like me some Jersey Mike's subs however this location completely ruins it. RUINS IT! Ruins it enough that I am having a hard time coming up with any positives in my review. The food is not really the issue since my subs usually turn out fine. The issue is having to go in there and deal with the staff. Granted there have been a few were capable workers through there from time to time. Most of the time you experience 4-5 employees at various points behind the counter and/or back area. There is someone assembling subs, someone ringing up, someone hiding in the back, and one floating around probably on their phone. The employee conversation goes beyond the casual convo atmosphere that Jersey Mike's is probably striving for. Inappropriate topics, foul language, and most of the time the conversations take priority over the job at hand. One visit took 22 minutes from walking in the door to walking out the door with a sub. There were literally two people ahead of me, I could not believe it. My final visit there was spent watching the single sub maker stop to refill the pickles and the little plastic cups while 3 others stood around chatting it up. Meanwhile my sub sits there to wait naked and sad. It is not the wait that is frustrating, it is the "we do not give an eff" perception. I about had it and strongly considered just walking out. Although I'm sure I would be viewed as the jerk then.... I go in wanting a sub to end up leaving irritated and wondering why I walked back into this location again. As the only Jersey Mike's in the area, I would just skip it and get Jersey Mike's in one of the suburbs instead. There are by far better places to spend your money in the immediate area. If I was Jersey Mike's, I would can the district manager, retrain the store manager, and retrain/replace the staff. read more

No. Please just skip it. I was really excited to try this new place. I have heard SO much. For the high price and the low customer service, skip this place. This is a sandwich, nothing special. I love Jersey Mikes but this location is awful. You typically get what you expect as far as food which would typically be a good thing but considering how unprofessional the staff is makes it not even worth going. Multiple times I've been to this location I've had to wait to get my order because staff members had friends hanging around taking free chips and putting in orders for sandwiches that didn't seem to be paid for. Another time there was someone there that didn't work there or wasn't working at the time and just went behind the counter for no apparent reason. Also, I'd expect if you had hickies on your neck you would cover it up but not the staff here, typically you'll see a worker covered in them. It's beyond disgusting when they are making your sandwhich. Given it's a college town and mainly college kids working, you know what to expect as far as professionalism goes but the way this location is run puts a bad taste on all jersey mikes. read more

This is my second time here, and it again was pretty underwhelming, especially given the price. Tables were dirty, bathroom was disgusting. While that doesn't necessarily indicate a problem with the food, the overall uncleanliness made me a bit apprehensive. The sandwich itself was just okay. Nothing special, and very messy. I won't be going here again. It's pretty easy to see why sub places come and go. The gimmick runs old, and if you don't have a great product, clean restaurant, and friendly employees, there's not a good reason to return. read more

First and last time here. Filthy, slow, and the absolute worst looking sandwich I've ever seen. 15 minutes as they were training a new cashier, who then jumped on the line and made my sandwich. Wow. A glob of mayonase (about the size of a golf ball) smeared on my sandwich which was put together by apparently a 5 year old. The bread was facing opposite directions, everything was falling out. Stopped in earlier for lunch and I am very disappointed with my sandwich. I ordered a Jersey Mike's Famous Philly. I don't know what is so "famous" about it!! Oh by the way WHERE'S THE BEEF??? Came here today around 3:30 and two unfriendly girls were working. Neither of them greeted me, I was the first to say anything. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and chips which was $9 and some change. I went to sit down and every table was dirty and there were no other customers in sight. I wiped off my own table because the employees were too busy talking to each other to do so. The wrap was poorly wrapped and had buffalo sauce all over the outside of it and was extremely small. Very clean. I am a big fan of sandwiches and a mini sandwich, chips, and drink was only 8.00. Not bad and it filled me up! Clean an healthy good! Typical Miss Vickie's chips like most sandwich shops. They have 2 televisions here and looks really cool here. read more

Best sub you can find in the area,fresh sliced meat in between 2 pillows of white bread. Must have it "Mikes Way" to get the full effect on a cold sub. These are messy,and full of flavor. Provolone is the best choice for all sandwiches if not the only choice. I have never had a bad sandwich at any location in both Florida or Illinois. Their chocolate chip cookies are a plus if you have a sweet tooth. Don't hold up the line, check menu online and be ready to order. I love this place! It suprises me to see such negitive comments about the service. I have been there so many times they know my order and the service is always great! The rewards program is a good idea because you can get free subs. Also, I recomend getting your sub mikes way.The also have a student discount reg sub combo for 6.99 I think. read more

I have Celiac's disease- they do a great job wiping down the counters and being mindful of cross contamination. Their GF bread is very good. They are consistent with their care to avoid cross-contamination. The best part is that I don't need to even ask- they take proper care without me asking. It's wonderful! read more

I love Jersey Mike's for their fresh meat and bread. The staff at the Dekalb location are friendly and willing to help make your sandwich the best it can be. The meat is sliced right in front of you. I have had one time that my bread was stale, but today it was good. The only problem was the booths were very dirty. There were crumbs on all of the tables. And a booth I almost sat at had lettuce all over the seat. The booth I sat at, I had to wipe the crumbs off the seat before sitting and there was lettuce on the other side of the table. The staff should work on making sure the whole restaurant is presentable. read more

I love the place. I usually order online. My sandwich is always ready when I get there. Generally I have a special order and always get it correct Their red pepper relish is awesome on an Italian. This is the only place in the area that makes them as they should be. No Mayo! Ewww ever on an Italian . Their other sandwich's are great too. Join their points club and great deals.
