    Always grilled fresh!

There are SO many sandwich shops. This is my first trip to Jersey Mike's. Restaurant was very clean, and employees helped me pick a sandwich. Hot or cold? What kind of bread? What size, regular or huge? The warm Big Kahuna cheese steak is right up my alley, but I also love the taste that Italian meats can give a sandwich. So, the Original Italian it is! And it has to come Mikes way, all the veggies and a red wine vinegar and olive oil dressing. The regular size is 2 meals for me, so there's leftovers! The sandwich was great, but what would put it over the top would be the olive mix dressing from a muffuletta. That would be a winner! Of course there's no Jersey Mike's in Abilene, so next time I'm in DFW, sandwich time!

No jerseys ANYWHERE! I walked into this quote un-quote "food and beverage establishment" and that had NO JERSEYS!!! How am I supposed to believe they would have ANY Mike's, if they have no jerseys?!? Someone give me a damn JERSEY! Also, when I ordered, and typed my names with MANY exclamation points, they had the AUDACITY to be amazing and "write" our names with exclamation points!!! 5 stars

Kinda bummed that I got really old chicken in my sandwich... the color was the same as the bag, and was definitely not tinted from the buffalo sauce. It was dry and crunchy and a very odd color. This was a very disappointing visit for me but my fiancés cold sandwich was perfect. :( gross

I'm a bigger fan of a plate of food with meat and 2 sides but when it comes to sandwich shops I prefer Jersey Mike's over their most common competitors. This shop was clean and every single employee was upbeat and friendly. I ordered the Famous Philly, regular size, on the fancy bread with cheese baked into the crust. The meat was so tender, the sandwich wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked but it was still really good. When I'm in the mood for just a sandwich Jersey Mike's is an excellent choice. And they do have sweet tea. And Udi gluten free bread if you require or prefer it. I think the sandwiches might be a little bit pricier than Subway but the sandwiches here taste much better.

My partner in food wanted to try the King Kong against my better judgment. Looking at the photos, it didn't appear conceivable - to make matters worse, he wanted it to go! It came deconstructed. Four HUMONGOUS beef patties and probably a whole pound of bacon and beautifully melted cheddar. The bun was questionable, mostly because it was nowhere near enough bread for all that meat, but I get it, in a challenge situation, I wouldn't want to load up on bread. The patties were well seasoned and firm. I would have preferred medium, but since I was sharing, well done was fine. Not over done and still juicy. It also came with a container full of steak fries! I admittedly put a hurting in the fries, dipping them in the house ranch mixed with the jalapeño ranch. I wanted the fries to be crispier and the ranch to be thicker, but they were delicious nonetheless!! So how much of it did we finish?? I finished one patty with out bread!! My partner finished one and a half patties with sandwich bread. The bun got designated to my leftover patty. Tomorrow's lunch will be a single patty burger with half a pound of bacon!

Honestly, couldn't have done better myself! When the meal arrived it was still warm (again, thanks Bernard!) but one of the sandwich orders was incorrect. We wanted a Karl's Deluxe but got a Karl's Grilled Cheese. Who do we notify? MrBeast? On The Border? We would worry about that later... Sampled the Karl's Grilled Cheese, Beast Style Double, Beast Style Fries, and Seasoned Crinkle Cut Fries. Sandwiches were pretty mediocre... but the fries were some of the best fast food fries I've ever eaten. Grilled Cheese was undercooked and burger was pretty bland. The fries, however, the seasoning is pretty awesome and I've already scoured the 'net for their proprietary blend (no dice, yet!) Also, the packaging is really cool, and makes you feel like you're eating some badass kids meal. Anyways, being National French Fry Day I posted a story on IG--to which MrBeast Burger slid into my DMs with a "*french fry emoji* *hands raised emoji*". I responded with a bit of sass, "Y'all were lucky it was not National Patty Melt Day bc I ordered a Deluxe but got a grilled cheese..." After some questions about my location and the order number, they ultimately refunded the price of the Deluxe. Overall a pretty alright fast food experience. It wasn't terrible... but it also wasn't great. Will I try again? Maybe. I still want to try that Deluxe! Yeah

It was well worth navigating the detours. I ordered my go-to: a Double-Double Protein Style, crispy fries, and a strawberry shake. The burger was everything I expect from In-N-Out--fresh, juicy, and loaded with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, onions, and their signature spread. Going Protein Style lets the quality of the beef really shine. The fries were cooked just the way I like them--crispy on the outside while still hot and tender inside. I even managed to finish every last fry, which doesn't happen very often! The strawberry shake was thick, creamy, and the perfect way to finish the meal. One thing I appreciate about In-N-Out is the consistency. Whether I'm stopping in Texas or somewhere else, I know exactly what I'm going to get: fresh ingredients, friendly service, and one of the best fast-food burgers around. If you're traveling through Denton, do yourself a favor and make the stop. Some traditions are worth keeping, and an In-N-Out burger is definitely one of them.

It's still a big deal to find modestly priced high-quality burgers served super fast. This isn't your Mickey D's or those five dudes or even that burger royalty. In-N-Out is simply awesome and they now have some 40 locations across Texas. Mrs. K. and I stopped in because I saw the big neon sign tower from the highway and could not resist. After parking (because the Sprinter won't fit in their drive through), I ordered at the counter. it was busy at 6:30pm on a weekday so it did take about ten minutes before my number was called. That gave Mrs. K. enough time to drain a first cup of sweet tea and send me for a refill. I picked up my burger and brought it back to the table. A "double double" which comes with two burger patties and two slices of cheese plus the other great stuff, along with a small basket of fries. Mrs. K. isn't eating meat these days so while I enjoyed the heck out of this hot and delicious burger, she consumed about half of the fries. A couple of things to keep in mind, that I had forgotten. In-N-Out has a great secret menu. You can order our burger "animal style" which adds mustard grilled beef, extra pickles, extra grilled onions and extra sauce (it's like Thousand-Island dressing). And I forgot that In-N-Out does their fries a little light - I have to remember to ask for them well done for crispy fries. Next time! [Review 413 of 2026 - 722 in Texas - 25596 overall]
