I have only been here twice so far but will be back. It is one of the lunch options nearby an office building I frequent. For a fast food sandwich, it is SO much better than Subway. And for a fast food sandwich, Jersey Mike's does a good job replicating NJ style sandwiches which being from NY and a west coast transplant, I really miss. The first time I visited it was in the evening and they weren't very busy. The guy who made my sandwich was really cool and nice and all my quirks (no veggies, can you sub this meat out for this, only vinegar) were all accommodated absolutely no problem. The second time I came was prime lunch time and they had a long line. But they were actually pretty efficient in getting trough the line. Yey! This is key for lunch breaks where you really do not have a lot of time to waste in line. They slice the cold cuts as you order your sandwich which is awesome and the bread is pretty good too which I find one of the most challenging aspects of getting a sandwich in SoCal. I got the #13 original Italian the last time I was there and it is really a good choice if you are craving an Italian sub. I will totally grab a sandwich here again. read more

10/9/18 someone reached out to me to apologize privately. I asked that they provide me with the manager's name so that they could do it properly in person since their staff had no problem humiliating me publicly. That request was not honored. Then, they send me a card to get a free drink WITH PURCHASE and a card to get some basic sandwich at a location different from the one where I was scrutinized. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. 9/19/2018 Always speak with the adult in the room if possible I have been to this location on two occasions. On both occasions, the older lady that was present stepped in to make sure I got the service that was expected. This last time, she had to intervene again because the staff was not listening. I specifically ordered the big kahuna because it comes with extra cheese. I asked that they hold the onions, pepper and jalapenos (because I have digestive issues, but I didn't disclose that because it's really none of their business). It's about $0.50 than the regular cheese steak. When I got to the counter to pay, the person making my sandwich instructed the cashier to ring up a cheese steak with extra cheese. I quickly corrected him. I ordered a big kahuna. Omitting the vegetables isn't reason enough to try to charge me $4 more for extra cheese, especially when the sandwich I ordered already came with it. I've ordered my sandwich like this before and had no problems. So, why do they think they have the right to charge me extra?! Then, they proceeded to argue with ME about it until the adult on shift stepped in. How hard is it to listen? What gives them the right to argue with me about my sandwich order?! You don't get to change my order in an effort to charge me more! I'm not sure what it is about establishments in El Segundo, but I will not be bullied around by those meant to provide great customer service to all. If I could give them no stars, I would. This store is close to where I work and I stopped in a couple times to grab a BLT. These guys at this store are part of the reason I come back. I was going to a different location until a bad meal incident, so I switched to this location. My 3rd visit to the Sepulveda location has me questioning if there will be a 4th, or I'll at least make sure a certain order taker isn't working first. PROS: Great sandwich, probably one of my favorites, especially since they have a gluten-free option. The staff is great about asking if it's allergy or preference and makes sure counter is clean before prep. That's a huge deal when it comes to allergies. Most of the staff is incredibly friendly. CON: Not a fan of being yelled at by the person taking my order and having another employee roll their eyes at me for my gluten-free request. Employee 1 - Mr. Snarky: I spouted off what I typically do when placing my order and before I could say what kind of bread, the young man snapped at me and said "you're telling me your sandwich, but what kind of bread" while waving his hands at me as if we didn't speak the same language. Employee 2 - Mr. Ugh Gluten-Free - employee confirmed it was a gluten-free sandwich due to allergy, walked in the back to grab bread, but failed to keep his volume down when voicing his absolute hatred about having to do so to another employee. Another Jersey Mike's stop for my husband. Whenever he's hungry and i'm not we stop here. I have had their veggie sandwich and it was pretty lame, no flavor whatsoever and since I am not a fan of meat, they don't have any other options. Service is fine, they get through the lines pretty fast. He had the big kahuna cheese steak as always and loved it. Prices are a bit high, but they often have specials and coupons to save a bit and the giant size really is enough for two people or to save half for later. The employee slices all the deli meats right when you place your order. Can't beat fresh meat! +They stack on their ingredients high! I ordered their club sub, which includes turkey ham, provolone and bacon finished off in Mike's way. My sandwich had thick layers of both turkey and ham with more than 1 slice of provolone. On top of that, they added mountains of lettuce and tomato and smothered my sandwich with Mike's Way seasoning, which is red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano, and salt. Monstrous sandwich right here! +I had no idea what Mike's Way seasoning was until I bit into my sandwich but OHMYGOD I'm a fan! Red wine vinegar gives it that refreshing flavor while oregano seasons the sandwich so well. This place is not RECOMMENDED! The employees are trash, rude, and incompetent. Do not go here. They lack basic customer services skills. No wonder they're 30 something working at a minimum wage job. Even then they aren't worthy of the $12.00 an hour. Out of 7 employees not one stood out. From the moment the guy asked for my order and didn't even ask what bread I wanted on to the guy whom cooked it didn't ask what other toppings I wanted the other guy didn't care to charge me had me waiting while he washed he hands forever and the cook threw the subs down. I asked for a bag he said you can go get it yourself over there. Wen ur was on his left hand side. It's funny how sad this fucking place is they couldn't even care to the 3 women who paid $50 for fucking sandwich's and place them in a bag but the white guy from before w a $8 sub got the royal treatment and a bag. I love Jersey Mikes, but this is the second time going to this location in the last few months and getting the wrong order. I guess you can't call in subs because you need to be there to make sure employees make them correctly. Ordered 3 subs, wanted American cheese on one and got provolone, I wanted pepperoni and mustard on the second sandwich and got neither and on the third sandwich I asked for wheat bread and got white. I always tip, but going forward I will rethink that. I am also 8 and a half months pregnant so opening up my sub to the wrong order once home is beyond upsetting. read more

Wouldn't normally write a review about a chain sub shop but the guys at this location are awesome. Especially the one taking the orders tonight. They seem happy to see you and have your business. I was extra impressed that they were all wearing their masks properly over their nose and mouth. The best take-away from this place, is the staff. They were friendly and helpful. I did not have that weird awkward feeling I get when I go to a new place I am not familiar with. I was surprised to get a message from the regional manager who was concerned about my unpleasant experiences after I posted my original review. He said that they had worked hard to improve the customer experience and invited me back to try again. At first, I was reluctant to go back, but since he had made the effort to reach out to me I felt that I owed them a second chance. I was NOT disappointed. I met the manager at the store and we talked briefly. I could tell that the employees were more attentive to the customer and were trying to provide a better experience. The place was very busy, but no one was shouting at anyone, and the sandwich production line seemed to be much more organized. The place environment was much less chaotic and had a friendly atmosphere. Also, the employees were being much more respectful. Of course, the sandwich was awesome, as usual. I have been here in the past and didn't get the sandwich I would expect at a Jersey Mike's. But today I visited this location again and was totally impressed with all of the service received. The girl making sandwiches was very experienced and created the start of an excellent sub. The vegi guy did a great job and was nice enough to ask if there was anything else you would like on the sub. There was also a really nice talkative guy running the register that was very friendly to each customer as they paid. My hat is off to the manager that is running the show here now. Can't complain =) I live in Long Beach but on Fridays, I work in El Segundo and this JM's is right down the street from my workplace so I can ride my skateboard here to grab myself a mini #7 during my lunch break. Usually the place is crowded with hungry working employees (like me, haha). But the staff here does a pretty good job at getting everyone served. Came in to pick up a large catering order, when I received the order I asked the guy at the counter for a copy of the receipt. He told me there was one taped to the box, I asked for another copy and he refused and began arguing with me in front of other customers! He told me I didn't need one even though I told him I did. One of the other employees agreed with me but he still refused. I told him that "I don't understand why you are arguing with me, you could've just said no". He laughed out loud and asked me for my name as if that was some kind of threat. If he had just said it's hard/impossible to go back and reprint that would've been fine.
