10/9/18 someone reached out to me to apologize privately. I asked that they provide me with the manager's name so that they could do it properly in person since their staff had no problem humiliating me publicly. That request was not honored. Then, they send me a card to get a free drink WITH PURCHASE and a card to get some basic sandwich at a location different from the one where I was scrutinized. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. 9/19/2018 Always speak with the adult in the room if possible I have been to this location on two occasions. On both occasions, the older lady that was present stepped in to make sure I got the service that was expected. This last time, she had to intervene again because the staff was not listening. I specifically ordered the big kahuna because it comes with extra cheese. I asked that they hold the onions, pepper and jalapenos (because I have digestive issues, but I didn't disclose that because it's really none of their business). It's about $0.50 than the regular cheese steak. When I got to the counter to pay, the person making my sandwich instructed the cashier to ring up a cheese steak with extra cheese. I quickly corrected him. I ordered a big kahuna. Omitting the vegetables isn't reason enough to try to charge me $4 more for extra cheese, especially when the sandwich I ordered already came with it. I've ordered my sandwich like this before and had no problems. So, why do they think they have the right to charge me extra?! Then, they proceeded to argue with ME about it until the adult on shift stepped in. How hard is it to listen? What gives them the right to argue with me about my sandwich order?! You don't get to change my order in an effort to charge me more! I'm not sure what it is about establishments in El Segundo, but I will not be bullied around by those meant to provide great customer service to all. If I could give them no stars, I would. I still wound up with peppers in my dang sandwich! There's another one close by on Century Blvd. I would suggest you go there so you don't get berated about your order! read more

I had never been to a Jersey Mike's Sub location before and I was impressed that the selection of submarines that they have. The staff was really helpful in choosing my virgin sub, and I ended up getting the large size. It was quite tasty and so big it was my dinner that evening in my lunch the next day. This store is close to where I work and I stopped in a couple times to grab a BLT. These guys at this store are part of the reason I come back. I have had their veggie sandwich and it was pretty lame, no flavor whatsoever and since I am not a fan of meat, they don't have any other options. Service is fine, they get through the lines pretty fast. He had the big kahuna cheese steak as always and loved it. Prices are a bit high, but they often have specials and coupons to save a bit and the giant size really is enough for two people or to save half for later. My 3rd visit to the Sepulveda location has me questioning if there will be a 4th, or I'll at least make sure a certain order taker isn't working first. The staff is great about asking if it's allergy or preference and makes sure counter is clean before prep. That's a huge deal when it comes to allergies. Most of the staff is incredibly friendly. Employee 1 - Mr. Snarky: I spouted off what I typically do when placing my order and before I could say what kind of bread, the young man snapped at me and said "you're telling me your sandwich, but what kind of bread" while waving his hands at me as if we didn't speak the same language. Employee 2 - Mr. Ugh Gluten-Free - employee confirmed it was a gluten-free sandwich due to allergy, walked in the back to grab bread, but failed to keep his volume down when voicing his absolute hatred about having to do so to another employee. I ordered their club sub, which includes turkey ham, provolone and bacon finished off in Mike's way. My sandwich had thick layers of both turkey and ham with more than 1 slice of provolone. On top of that, they added mountains of lettuce and tomato and smothered my sandwich with Mike's Way seasoning, which is red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano, and salt. I love Jersey Mikes, but this is the second time going to this location in the last few months and getting the wrong order. I guess you can't call in subs because you need to be there to make sure employees make them correctly. Ordered 3 subs, wanted American cheese on one and got provolone, I wanted pepperoni and mustard on the second sandwich and got neither and on the third sandwich I asked for wheat bread and got white. The best take-away from this place, is the staff. They were friendly and helpful. I did not have that weird awkward feeling I get when I go to a new place I am not familiar with. The food was also a healthier alternative than other fast food places or restaurants I could have gone to. It is also conveniently located across from my hotel, which was a plus. I was surprised to get a message from the regional manager who was concerned about my unpleasant experiences after I posted my original review. He said that they had worked hard to improve the customer experience and invited me back to try again. At first, I was reluctant to go back, but since he had made the effort to reach out to me I felt that I owed them a second chance. I was NOT disappointed. I met the manager at the store and we talked briefly. I could tell that the employees were more attentive to the customer and were trying to provide a better experience. The place was very busy, but no one was shouting at anyone, and the sandwich production line seemed to be much more organized. The place environment was much less chaotic and had a friendly atmosphere. Also, the employees were being much more respectful. Of course, the sandwich was awesome, as usual. I'm glad they have worked on the customer experience and how their employees interact with others and I will definitely be coming back! Good work, guys! read more

I have been here in the past and didn't get the sandwich I would expect at a Jersey Mike's. But today I visited this location again and was totally impressed with all of the service received. The girl making sandwiches was very experienced and created the start of an excellent sub. The vegi guy did a great job and was nice enough to ask if there was anything else you would like on the sub. There was also a really nice talkative guy running the register that was very friendly to each customer as they paid. My hat is off to the manager that is running the show here now. Can't complain =) I live in Long Beach but on Fridays, I work in El Segundo and this JM's is right down the street from my workplace so I can ride my skateboard here to grab myself a mini #7 during my lunch break. Usually the place is crowded with hungry working employees (like me, haha). But the staff here does a pretty good job at getting everyone served. Came in to pick up a large catering order, when I received the order I asked the guy at the counter for a copy of the receipt. He told me there was one taped to the box, I asked for another copy and he refused and began arguing with me in front of other customers! He told me I didn't need one even though I told him I did. One of the other employees agreed with me but he still refused. I told him that "I don't understand why you are arguing with me, you could've just said no". He laughed out loud and asked me for my name as if that was some kind of threat. If he had just said it's hard/impossible to go back and reprint that would've been fine.
