$10.50 for a "lettuce sandwich" -- very disappointing I've been a Jersey Mike's customer for over 40 years, and I've always liked the brand, which is why this experience is so disappointing. This is now the second time in two months that I've ordered a half turkey sub and received what is essentially a lettuce sandwich with a few razor-thin slices of turkey. The sandwich in the attached photo cost $10.50, and it's almost entirely shredded lettuce and tomato with just a few very thin pieces of meat and cheese. For that price, the sandwich should actually contain turkey -- not just filler. After four decades of being a customer, this is honestly pretty shocking to see. The quality and portion here are nowhere close to what Jersey Mike's used to serve. I'm posting this because management should really take a look at what's being served. Customers expect better than this. Shame on Jersey Mike in Fernandina. We won't be back. Two times and two months, the same lack of quality and quantity. Went to the Jersey Mike's on Amelia Island on 9/7/2022 and ordered a regular steak and cheese. I started eating and noticed that their was not the normal amount of steak, it was basically paper thin. As a loyal customer, it was not what I had in the past. In the past, the steak was pouring out of the bread. If they instituted portion control they lost me as a customer. First, you can't get a kid's meal without a sugary drink or tap water--asking for bottled water will just end up with pithy remarks from the staff. They forgot one of our sandwiches and didn't put the vinegar and spices for "Mike's Way" on our other 3. I don't understand what the point of a pick up order is if when you walk in to get it, they serve every person who walks in AFTER you and ignore you. Made a pick up order during breakfast and went over to get it and had to wait 20+ mins as the staff literally waited for other customers to come in and attend to them instead of my order as I was literally sitting in the store. It should not take an hour to get subs you made for a pick up order and watch 8 customers who walked in after you, walk out with their sandwiches while you sit there and are ignored by staff. Solid sub shop. The cheese steaks are good and the portions are reasonable for what you're paying. Management is friendly and I've never received bad customer service. Everybody working there seems really passionate about their work and I totally appreciate that. They have stiff competition from Publix less than a mile away, but there will definitely be people who choose JM over Publix for speed of service and because they prefer a different type of sub than than Publix sells. The bread is softer at JM but I wouldn't call it better. The meat is sliced fresh at both locations. It's really close competition. Publix has more meats and cheeses but JM is more focused and therefore more efficient. Between the two you really have to decide if you prefer selection or speed of service because quality overall is similar. read more

I ordered online through the Jersey Mike's app. I was told that my order (2 regular subs; meatball and chipotle cheesesteak) would be ready by 6:51pm. I arrived at the specified Jersey Mike's at 6:58pm. Once I was acknowledged, it was by a black male who asked for the name of my order. He then asked if I would mind waiting another "10-15 minutes" because they had run out of bread and were baking more. I was not happy about the fact that a sub eatery was out of bread on a Saturday evening, especially that of a holiday weekend (both Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day), but I said nothing. The black male who worked there turned away from me to help another customer, so I walked out of the store to wait outside. I waked back into the store 12 minutes later and was told by another employee (a white female) I would have to wait another 15 minutes for the bread to cool. At this point, I was ready to leave the store. Since I placed the order via the app, however, I had already paid and was willing to wait for the bread in order to receive the sandwiches I ordered. I did wait another 15 minutes with no complaints. Next, the black male came back to the counter to inform me that the store was out of meatballs and to ask me what else he could get for me. At this point, I had waited WELL beyond the time that my order was promised. I asked the gentleman why he did not inform me 30+ minutes earlier that the meatballs were no longer available because I could have changed my order or canceled my order at that point. I asked why he did not tell me earlier and he claimed that it was not his fault and he walked away from me to attend to the grill top. I then asked what we could do to resolve this issue and he claimed that I was yelling at him (I was most certainly not yelling, nor was I rude). He refused to acknowledge me after that. Luckily, there was a manager on hand at that point, who witnessed the poor interaction between me and the black male and tried to resolve the issue. The manager refunded my money, since I was not able to take the subs that I had purchased. I encouraged the manager to speak with and address the lack of communication, lack of care/empathy, and lack of customer service with his black male employee and he ensured me that he would. I will never return to Jersey Mike's, especially if people like the black male I encountered is an employee/representative of this company. read more

Usually a very organized location. I ordered two subs to go and paid online with a credit card. Arrived a few minutes early and was advised by employee that the subs were in progress. A few minutes later a customer ahead of me, received his two subs and walked out. A minute later the employee asked me the name for my order, when i gave her my name she realized that she just gave my order to the person that just left. She immediately went out to the parking lot to find the customer but he was gone. She apologized to me and said that they would have to start my order again. She gave me a $2 coupon and two free drinks for my inconvenience. After about 10 minutes, my order was finally ready and I went home, only to find that one of the subs was a chicken cheese steak and not the beef cheese steak. Total Cluster and I wont be back.
