I used to be a semi-regular at this place. The sandwiches have always been pretty good but my friend and I stopped going because we found a place we liked better. I had not been there in over a year but returned today due to their promise of donating a percentage of their revenue in support of covid-19. We called in our order for five sandwiches and paid in advance. I arrived and ended up waiting over 20 minutes. I saw at least eight people walk in, place their order and receive their food as I waited patiently. I learned that phoning an order in caused me quite the delay. I finally got my sandwiches and headed home. I should have checked the bag because there were only four sandwiches in the bag. After calling them back, it was in the car and back to the restaurant to pick up the item THEY neglected to provide. On the positive side, the sandwiches were still good but their lack of customer service and poor performance overshadowed the food quality by a large margin. Fresh sliced meat stacked high on white or wheat buns. We were able to go to the soft launch today so there were 15 workers behind the counter! The crew is very nice and enthusiastic about their new opportunity to deliver fresh carved meat to Folsom residents. The Reuben had 1/4" of pastrami, a good amount of sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and Swiss cheese delivering a juicy sandwich with great flavor. *protip: If you ask for no sauerkraut, they will give you extra pastrami (but then that's not really a Reuben now is it). My son had the chicken parm and said he liked it. He ate it all so that's all that matters. ;). I had a bite and felt the chicken quality was good, but the sauce and cheese was standard. It fulfills the need if that's the flavor you're craving. The Italian classic is still my favorite. All of the meat is freshly sliced and piled high! The vinegar and oil give it extra pizazz, but will quickly soak your bread so eat it immediately! I wouldn't even recommend taking it home first... I craved a Philly cheesesteak and this place has cheesesteak and chicken philly in variety of options. I opted for the philly chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it!! They are in Covid compliance wearing masks with plastic drape hanging from ceiling down to counter. Plenty of friendly and energetic staff to promptly take your order and make your sandwich in front of you. I think I'll try a cold sub next time. I like how they pile the finely shredded lettuce and carefully place tomatoes, pickles onions and shake some of that yummy herb seasoning, vinaigrette and oil all over your sandwich!! Not really a problem until you realize that they are filling online orders along with the people in line so the line moves REALLY slow. They'll be working on other orders and ignoring the people who have taken the time to come in to order. After about 10 minutes of very slow movement we left. I like the fresh cut meat idea but it slows down the line so much it's ridiculous when they're working in the online orders. If they're going to do that they need another meat slicer. read more

I was here on Tuesday around 1pm. The staff was great excellent customer service while busy. There was a Karen that was holding up the line they dealt with her great professionalism. Then had a another customer that order a sandwich that's not on the menu but they accommodated him. Tried Jersey Mike's Subs for the first time today and it will be my last! My coworker told me good things about this place and so we came on our lunch break and it was fairly busy. My coworker ordered her food and it was my turn, I wasn't quite sure which creation I wanted but I knew I wanted it to include pastrami. My coworker asked the guy if I could do a customer sandwich and he said yes but to start by choosing a # work work off that. Well I wanted the one that had turkey roast beef with bacon and I believe avocado but I didn't want roast beef I asked for pastrami. The guy told me I couldn't do that. I asked why not and he said he just can't sub that meat. I said ok, how bout using only the pastrami and doing the rest is the ingredients? He said no, basically it costs more. I said ok, can I pay more to have pastrami? By now he's irritated and not trying to hide it. He said no, that I could do a Cali and use pastrami. I said but I want all the other ingredients on that other sandwich. The guy is getting more irritated and now I am super irritated not understanding why he would not simply make me the sandwich I asked for since I'm willing to pay extra. So I said forget it, just give me a regular Cali Mike's way and paid for my sandwich. I get back to work to try this sandwich I didn't even want and it is not good. The avocado is more like a guac with no flavor and the sandwich itself wasn't flavorful. Pretty irritated about the whole experience and the fact that I paid $8.95 for that sandwich. I got the chicken Philly cheesesteak and the hubs got the original Italian. We got the Parmesan rosemary bread. Both were good. First impression walking in hardly anybody in there yet many dirty tables and floor. Grill was dirty. Friendly 16 year old greet us. He told the table of teens he was 16. Older gal comes out and after I ordered my sandwich she starts cleaning grill. Stated that the 16 yr old was going to have the learn the grill sometime. Hubs head snaps toward me and says, "Do you want someone who's never cooked to do your sandwich?!" I chuckled and say, "It's a sandwich and not an appendectomy." They serve hot and cold sammies in three different sizes: mini, regular, and large. Hubs and I ordered two regular sandwiches to share. #13 Italian - thin slices of quality meats piled high. Cappicolia, salami, ham, pepperoni, and provolone cheese was quite memorable, tasty. Oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Yummy bread. #17 Philly cheesesteak - tender steak chopped philly style with cooked onions, peppers, and white American cheese. It's not the best cheesesteak I've had, but it's ok good. The sandwiches did not disappoint, they were tasty. The decor is fresh and modern. The decor reminds me of a Habit but instead with East coast surfing vintage photos. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgable. They have napkin dispensers right on the tables. Now a days, that's a rarity. I went to Jersey Mikes for my first time today. I wanted to support their day of giving. Nice to see a company give back to the community. I was shocked that I bought a single sandwich. No drink or chips. The bill was over $19. Wow no wonder they can give money away. It would be cheaper for me to go get a burger at the Saloon and that is a sit down place and comes with fries. Visited this location recently for the very first time. Staff members were friendly and helpful with explaining the menu items I asked about. My sandwich was good, though I thought it was a bit light on the meat for the price. The bread however, was excellent and was surprisingly the best thing about the sandwich. I just knew that was up my alley. I ordered it without bread, but the bread looked great... mine was wrapped in a spinach tortilla. Another great option, less bread and more filling! The filling included crispy bacon pieces, sliced white turkey, cold-creamy guacamole, oil, pepper/salt, and fresh-crisp produce: iceberg lettuce and tomato. The pictures did not do it's justice! The wrap was so tasty! Top notch! It satisfied me in every way possible! It was prepared well, it was all fresh, it was even throughout, it was way more than enough in food, it didn't need anything... it was flavorful and wet. Not dry what so ever! However, I have gone three times at 8:30p when their posted hours close at 9p and each time when I have asked if they're still serving food the answer has been a hesitant "yes but you can order a hot sandwich because everything else is clean". Having worked in food service previously I get it. However, it is 30 minutes prior to closing if it had been 10 minutes prior to closing it would have been much more reasonable. I used to really like coming here, but don't think I'll be back after Tuesday's visit this week because of the service. For the most part, all sandwiches are created equal at any Jersey Mike's establishments, so I don't have anything new to say about my food. What separates them, however, is their service. Prior to this Tuesday, I've received fantastic service here and I must acknowledge SOME of the team for that, specifically one gentleman that wears a cap and is here often (I'll update this when I get his name) who has the best of attitudes and an employee I'd like to have on my team. Well this Tuesday was another story. I walked into a quiet restaurant approx 6:00 pm with only one other customer ahead of me in the order line. As I approached the line, both of the employees looked up to see me and then went back to what they were doing. Zero greeting, just "what kind of sandwich will you be having?" after 1 minute of standing in line. What I couldn't believe was that the next customer who walked in, was approached differently. Again, both employees looked up, but this time proceeded to welcome her in and said something along the lines of "hi, how are you? What can we get for you today?" The female employee had such a standoffish attitude, didn't even acknowledge me as she handed off the wrapped sandwich to the associate who helped me check out. Selective customer greetings? Sounds like this branch needs some customer service training cause you they just learned how to lose a weekly customer. read more

I went to go visit my dad at the fire station this evening. He wanted to take me to get something for dinner, and he suggested Jersey Mike's Subs. I've heard nothing but good things, and I've also been wanting to try it, so I decided to go there. You can tell, from the moment you walk in, the customer service is great. Two gentlemen at the counter helped us, and their manners were terrific. My dad got the Big Kahuna, and I got the regular turkey & cheese with the rosemary bread. They both have such a great taste to them. Oh, and another cool thing about this place -- they sell KRIMPETS! Jersey mikes is my favorite place to go for my lunch breaks. The staff is kind and the food is great. Particularly today though, I want to acknowledge their professionalism. As I was in line (which was almost out the door due to it being their lunch rush), a woman who placed an online order came in, upset that her order was not finished. The manager Rob apologized multiple times and explained to her that they were finishing her last of multiple sandwiches, and the others were already bagged and ready for her. The lady proceeded to yell at him as well as the girl making her sandwiches that she wasn't working fast enough and "shouldnt work there if she can't do her job" (as there is still a line out the door). He politely asks the customer to be kind because the girl making her sandwiches was a brand new trainee. The customer continues to yell at them until the trainee was almost in tears. Throughout the whole interaction each staff member maintained their composure and worked together to get her order to her and out the door while also getting the orders started of those in line. Rob did an exceptional job at maintaining professionalism while protecting his employees. They all were able to continue making sandwiches for everyone in line while dealing with this ladys meltdown, and I want to acknowledge and admire that because that is very difficult to do. read more

I've come in several times and liked what I ordered then. Today I went in and I've been craving a cheesesteak sandwich lately so I ordered a #17 Mike's famous philly. This is hands down the best cheesesteak sandwich I've had in years. The one thing that can and will ruin a cheesesteak is the pepper and onion ratio to beef and cheese and they don't cut the sandwich in half so it stays together, I was also surprised to see the amount of meat wasn't skimped on either.
