I will say that "Huong Lan" has consistently been one of my main go-to spots for their Vietnamese Bánh Mì sandwiches ever since I started going to their South Sacramento (65th St/Stockton Blvd) location back in the early-2000s. This takes me to their Folsom location which opened its doors back in late-2021. Situated in a decent sized outdoor strip mall with a mix of boutiques and retail business, this Huong Lan is located directly off of East Bidwell St and adjacent to Wales Dr. Parking is fairly easy to find on any given day and they have very reasonable hours of operation being open weekdays from 10am-9pm and weekends from 10am-8pm. Since I live in the suburbs, this location is actually easier for me and is very convenient for those that live in Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Orangevale, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, and other neighboring communities. One really unique thing about this location is that they have a drive-thru for those that don't wish to exit their vehicles. However, if you're not in a rush, I do recommend dining inside as the interior dining area is quite open, inviting, and spacious. And one really positive thing about this location is that they are not nearly as busy as their other locations. More often than not, I am waiting in line (sometimes up to 30 minutes) just to place an order at the South Sacramento location. I also noticed how much of a variety this location offers including 15 different Bánh Mì variations, Phở, noodle soups, Vermicelli bows, rice plates, and a nice assortment of appetizers. They also carry several types of pearl teas, milk teas, and boba drinks. At this location, I literally entered the restaurant, walked up to the front counter, and placed my order. I ended up coming here during the afternoon on Saturday 5/30/2026 at around 2:00pm. My Bánh Mì sandwich of choice was their B7 "Grilled Pork" aka "Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng" and was priced at $9.25 (after tax). After making my payment, I sat down and within 5 minutes, my sandwich was brought out to me. I am going to be honest with everything, the bread was soft while the veggies (cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrots, and daikon) were all laid out very proportionally. But what this Bánh Mì was seriously lacking was the grilled pork! I love a good Bánh Mì sandwich but just ONE strip of pork? C'mon guys, I've been to your other locations and they have been very generous with the proteins. However, everything tasted great and I will still give this place an above average rating based on the service, location, ambiance, quality/freshness of food, and overall experience. I also wanted to add that the inside was very clean and sanitary while the public restroom was spotless. When you factor in a very spacious interior with a convenient drive-thru at the exterior and a pleasant dining experience in a quiet part of town, I am giving the Folsom "Huong Lan" location a respectable and above average four stars. read more

Great to see that another location has opened up. We love to go to the one in South Sac but knowing there is one in this area is great. Still the same great taste, just doesn't have the small market. I am a huge fan of Vietnamese food. I usually go to Vietnamese restaurants in South sac but while in Folsom, I saw this location and had to stop by. I was very surprised it did not have the market set up like South sac. I was sad that I could not stock up on Vietnamese snacks sauces or other things that I can find in the Sacramento location. However, the food was still very delicious. I have to say the spring rolls were definitely wrapped to order and fresh. I also ordered a grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich on me and it was fire. I also want to advise you that there is a drive-through around the location however it is not functioning. It was a little confusing when I went to park. No big deal though just wanted to give any future customer a heads up about this. read more

I came here to pick up Banh Mi for a company lunch. I was able to place the order on the phone, and it was ready for the pick up time we agreed to. I asked for veggies on the side, and they gave us so much that we had lots of left overs. The Banh Mi's were good and flavorful. I'm glad that there is a good Vietnamese stable in Folsom. I drive all the way from the mountains to get my spring rolls from here! They're only $16 for two orders (the portions are amazing and they put so much shrimp!) when where I live it's $34 for two orders and they just take Safeway salad and add shrimp in rice paper. They're very friendly here and the service is very quick. If there is ever an issue they fix it immediately. They have the absolute best most refreshing fresh shrimp spring rolls! There are a lot of clean tables and seating for those who dine in though The banh mi had fresh herbs and veggies but I wish there were more cucumbers and pickled veggies. Stopped into Folsom's Huong Lan Sandwiches for a quick bite. I'm familiar with the chain and have been to the one in South Sac once before. Shared an order of the A21 pork and shrimp spring rolls goi cuon ($7.25), and my main was the B7 Grilled Pork banh mi thit nuong (everything on it), $8.25. You could get either the Vietnamese veggies/fixins or a more basic lettuce and tomato dealio. Self serve water and plastic utensils, sauces and napkins provided at the table. Aside from appetizers and banh mi sandwiches, they also have pho, noodle soups, beef stews, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, pearl tea drinks and other beverages like coffee, fresh coconut juice, shakes, etc. The baguette bread on the sandwich was fresh and soft. The jalapenos weren't too spicy, although I could have done without the onion. Didn't seem like a ton of meat in the sando but then again they do carve out the bread so it might've been down inside. The spring rolls were good, as was the peanut dipping sauce. They did have a few grab and go cold drinks such as canned young coconut juice, and I noticed one plastic cup (lidded) of a sweet tapioca/sago & corn pudding, and some bread by the register for purchase too. Passing through Folsom, I called Huong Lan hoping they could put together a party tray of some sort for me to pick up pronto! Yes! I got 75 large eggrolls at $1.45/ea with all the fixings (lettuce, cucumber, pickled carrot and daikon, nuoc cham) in twenty minutes. They don't do party trays exactly, they charge by the roll. You order at the counter and the food will be deliver to the table. I ordered the pork chop, egg cake, shredded pork with rice. When I got to the table I was surprised that there weren't any pickled jalapeños. And when my food came out my rice was mushy! My dish was practically ruined. The service was okay. I was craving a banh mi today and decided to head to Duc Huong first since it's my favorite spot to grab banh mi for the family. However, there was an unexpected wait, and with other errands to run, I decided to skip it. I remembered there's a Huong Lan in Folsom, so I made my way there instead. The spring rolls were huge, and the sauce was decent--though I had to spice it up at home. The banh mi, however, was underwhelming. It lacked flavor, with the pickled veggies overpowering everything else. I came to Folsom for an infant photoshoot late in the evening and we got so hungry before traveling back to sac. I was delighted to see Huong lan has a location in Folsom. It was very different than the typical huong lan locations. This is more like a restaurant set up with tons of parking outside and seating inside. The restaurant is clean and neat and the food options are kept to the minimum which I wasn't overwhelmed with the amount I can purchase. They specialize in sandwiches so I came for the grill pork. I also ordered an avocado smoothie with less sugar. Bc we came so late, I wasn't able to see other options they have but what can be made in the kitchen like rice plates, soup and drinks.
