Nothing in the wrap

Ordered and paid almost $15 for a wrap that had almost nothing in it. It was flat and gross. And I normally love this place, but I have never ordered from this location before.

Tuna salad on sourdough bread

We were at the Folsom Lake Toyota Service Center waiting for our vehicle to undergo maintenance, and found ourselves feeling hungry during the long wait time. Sourdough & Co. just happened to be located right across the street from where we were. So we sent my sister to walk over and place our orders. (After checking out their menu on our cell phones). I got a 6"tuna salad with all the fixings, my dad got a turkey sandwich, and my sister got a chicken gluten free wrap. She was happy to discover that there were gluten free options on the menu! Her dietary restrictions can sometimes make eating together a complicated endeavor. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy a lunch together in the comfort of the Toyota waiting room! I have been to Sourdough & Co franchises before, and the food never fails in flavor and satisfaction. I love that they offer a large selection of choices on the menu that would satisfy most tastes and appetites. Our food needless to say was fresh and tasty!

Chicken Poblano Soup

I was bit skeptical based off of reviews, but I was starving and I could not make a decision for any other location. To my surprise, service was great. I asked to sample the soups because and the lady working the counter was very polite and kind. The line to order is a bit confusing. Seems like they should clear this up. A few people came at once and everyone is all over the place and not following the lines instructions. Other than that, I'm happy to try this place again in the future.

A varied menu from appetizers to lunch and dinner items. These chefs have perfected every dish. Big portions... no skimping at Manderes. Top notch ingredients and just the right amount of seasoning. Special rotating dinner selections too. Just so many choices. The Mongolian pork chop is outta this world. The simple Angus burger is served between sourdough buns. No mushy regular hamburger buns. The fries are crisp, hot and plentiful. Salads, sandwiches, and mouth-watering appetizers. Someone is getting hungry just writing this!:) Happy Hour 3 to 5, Monday thru Friday. All the beer and wine selections are quality... with a capital Q. No crap on tap... as they say. Popular crab cakes, calamari, wings and more. You cannot go wrong. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to find what looked and felt like a local upscale pub with a large bar with TVs and various tables scattered around. The menu offers something for everyone, and the portions are generous. I opted to start with the garlic bread with a dipping sauce, followed by the Southwestern chicken salad entree special. The bread crust had garlic baked onto it, and the dipping sauce was huge and flavorful. The Southwestern salad exceeded my expectations. It was huge! The chicken was grilled and blackened and cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fresh lettuce with black beans, chopped onions, and blue cheese with a spicy dressing that was fantastic. The dish was so good that I'm tempted to go back tomorrow night. If you're looking for a casual dining spot with a friendly local vibe and amazing food, Manderes fits the bill! I appreciated the fact they had a couple of NA beer options along with a nice selection of beer on tap. Highly recommend!

The portion was minimal--barely enough to cover the bottom of a standard to-go container--and it was noticeably lacking lettuce. They also used green olives, which felt a bit off from what I'd expect. The salad came with small portions of hummus and tzatziki, but no pita or anything to pair them with, which I found odd--are people just eating those with a fork? We also ordered a chicken shawarma, and ironically, the lettuce I was hoping to see more of in the salad ended up in that instead--wilted from the heat of the chicken. This was my second visit. The first time, I ordered online and was hit with a bunch of extra fees since it's routed through DoorDash--even for pickup. Staff mentioned that I should avoid ordering that way in the future to save money, which raises the question: if you know the system you're using adds unnecessary costs, why not offer a better alternative? Taking their advice, I came in person the second time. Service was fine, but overall, the food still just didn't stand out. I'll continue to spend my money at Zest just down the road.

It's hard to say enough good things about Fourk…read more We have been to many dinners at Fourk Folsom over the last few years. Each month's dinner is a unique four course meal. Chef Jesse is a wizard, creating wonderful dinners with lots of locally-sourced food. Even when he uses foods I don't traditionally enjoy like mushrooms and blue cheese, they are delightfully integrated with other elements to create a perfect flavor. In fact, one of my personal favorites is now his mushroom risotto. We also recently hosted a small private event/wedding dinner at Fourk. Shelbie and her team were really easy to work with. Jessie made a custom menu with some of our favorites, and Shelbie created a custom wine pairing. Both were delicious as usual. We were also surprised because they decorated the restaurant for the occasion, made custom poker chips with our names and the date, and found a "Bride" fork, all of which was really thoughtful. Lastly, Fourk is really accommodating of people with dietary restrictions, whether you are vegetarian or have other preferences. They always make it work, and I am grateful for that. Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. "Sounds good," I heard so across the parking lot was WCSD. In we go. Ordered two 6" BLT, no chips, cookies, or drinks, had water. Over $25.00. After waiting a fair amount of time, the order was ready (there was nobody in the place except three employees.) I brought the pie tins that they serve on to our table. They looked a little flat....odd. After I was seated, I lifted the top off of the sandwich, and where is the tomato? The sandwich was cut in half, so I looked at the other side, it looked the same. Upon further inspection there was ONE 2" diameter slice of tomato on each half of sandwich, approximately 1/8" thick. No kidding. The bacon was some very flat pre made stuff that was resembling aluminum foil in thickness. The lettuce was shreadded into long stripe and was wilty. I went back into the empty store and showed the sandwich maker my open sandwich and asked where the tomato was. She graciously stuck her lingers and thumb into my open sandwich, lifted the bacon and lettuce and proudly said "There it is!" (She did have gloves on. God only knows what she had handled with them on) A supervisor came up and asked what the problem was. I explained that there were no tomatoes on my sandwich. He explained that was how they make them. He offered additional tomato slices, I did not take them. The point is-That was the standard that they serve. It was just ridiculous. Not coming back.
