I just came in and I ordered a Cracked Pepper turkey with bacon and the sandwich was such a disappointment. I hardly got any turkey meat and the few pieces of onion that were scattered on the sandwich were hardly there and hardly any sauce on the bread and two of the tomato slices were the ends and you could actually see the end piece in the Tomato slice I am absolutely done with this place I will never come back ever again it is by far the worst and has gone so downhill it used to be the best when I live down there I will not come back. I used an app called Too Good To Go and purchased an $18.00 meal for $5.99. The purpose of this app is to get 18 dollars worth of food for 5.99 that they would normally dispose of at the end of the day. Pick up is at the end of the night. I got there and they handed me a bag with a small soup and a few pieces of bread. I told the employee it is supposed to be a 18 dollar value and he got either the manager or owner ( I'm not sure) and he advised that he is not responsible for advertising. He was condescending and rude about it and didn't seem to care if I was satisfied or not. I cannot recommend this location on Iron Point in Folsom as I expect to be treated like they actually want my business. We were at the Folsom Lake Toyota Service Center waiting for our vehicle to undergo maintenance, and found ourselves feeling hungry during the long wait time. Sourdough & Co. just happened to be located right across the street from where we were. So we sent my sister to walk over and place our orders. (After checking out their menu on our cell phones). I got a 6"tuna salad with all the fixings, my dad got a turkey sandwich, and my sister got a chicken gluten free wrap. She was happy to discover that there were gluten free options on the menu! Her dietary restrictions can sometimes make eating together a complicated endeavor. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy a lunch together in the comfort of the Toyota waiting room! I have been to Sourdough & Co franchises before, and the food never fails in flavor and satisfaction. I love that they offer a large selection of choices on the menu that would satisfy most tastes and appetites. Our food needless to say was fresh and tasty! read more

The sandwiches are pretty good when they get your order right. However, I've found about half the time they ignore a request for NO onions and put them on anyway. It's maddening because I am allium intolerant (can't digest onions and garlic, especially when they are raw). The workers just mindlessly default to putting everything on while you wait out of sight, rather than going down a line of condiments with you the way many other sandwich shops do. Having to pick all the onions off is getting rather old, and if I eat there again, I am going to have to watch them while they make it, or check the sandwich before I leave to make sure they're not trying to make me sick! read more

I was bit skeptical based off of reviews, but I was starving and I could not make a decision for any other location. To my surprise, service was great. I asked to sample the soups because and the lady working the counter was very polite and kind. The line to order is a bit confusing. Seems like they should clear this up. I had eaten there once before. The chicken salad was really good, so I ordered it again. It seemed a little skimpy on the chicken salad part, but I only ate half, and brought the other half home. I opened the sandwich up and there was only a teaspoon of chicken salad! There was lots of lettuce and 3 slices of tomato. Very disappointing. read more

They will not make a door dash order. I placed an order through their website in advance thinking that would be helpful for them and I during the lunch rush. I go in with my friend who orders at the counter. When we arrive my order isn't ready. My friend's order comes out immediately. I ask where my order is they say it will be a few minutes no apology for clearly deprioritizing my order. More time goes by and I'm like uh what is going on and I'm told they don't know how door dash orders are prioritized but they are making it right now. More time goes by people who came in after I arrived get their sandwich and still I get nothing. I let them know it had been over 45 minutes since I made my order so since they aren't going to make it I'll leave. No apology nothing. I got a note an hour later that they couldn't make my single simple turkey sandwich . I get they were busy but they were aware I was there the whole time and ignored me because it was a door dash order. I really did not intend to make the order through door dash. Since I ordered through their website I assumed no 3rd party was involved. I still like their sandwiches and everyone has a bad day. I hope this was a one off, moral of the story don't order through door dash they just won't make it. read more

I came here for lunch and got a veggie sandwich and clam chowder. Sandwiches come in 4" and 6". The veggie sandwich was loaded with all kinds of vegetables and I enjoyed it so much that I even came back the week after for another order. The clam chowder was really good-- creamy and a lot of clams in the soup. I also LOVE the bread! Their sourdough must be the best sourdough I ever had. It's so crunchy and flavorful. I love this place. This is the 3rd time I have been to this location. My favorite is the crunchy chicken sandwich on their warm and delicious sourdough roll. YUMMMM! This place is in a strip mall with parking. They always serve you quickly and bring your food to your table. I have noticed a sign on the wall, the last few times I went there, showing they have gluten free wraps for the gluten free peeps looking for places to eat. My friends recommended this place for the best sandwiches, so we stopped in to grab some before a picnic. I liked how they had three different sizes of sandwiches to fit your appetite. Ordered 2 sandwiches, hot. Specifically asked for them to be toasty as I don't like cold bread. There was one other person in front of us. Took 35 minutes for them to make their order and my order. One of my sandwiches came back warm with cheese melted (not hot or toasty, just warm) and the other came cold with ice cold cheese and cold bread. Disgusting. But I was starving so I ate it anyway.. I couldn't wait longer. I took off the cheese and didn't eat the bread, only the insides. it's now 4 hours later and I've got the runs. So does the person who ate the other sandwich. Do not eat here. But something's changed. $19+ for a 4" sandwich that fell apart because the bread wasn't toasted, a lukewarm cup of soup and a fountain drink is absurd - even in today's stupid inflationary landscape. Plus, they quit carrying Tabasco and the counter person had "no idea" why. This place is ok. For the price I would expect more. A six inch ham and turkey is around $15 and the amount of meat, in my opinion, should be more. The local shop has messed up our orders a few times, and the staff often don't acknowledge me when I walk in the door, even when they're just conversing amongst themselves. Even though they got rid of my favorite soup and favorite sandwich many years ago, they have brought in new sandwiches that are terrific and their clam chowder is better than the expensive well known Northern California seafood restaurant with locations in Bay Area, Sac and Folsom. Like the Sourdough and Co. sandwiches and soups, but this location consistently gets orders wrong. What's the point of custom ordering a sandwich if they are just going to make whatever they want. The latest example is a kids' meal (half a sandwich w/ macs and cheese, and a drink. Upon getting home, I found a full sandwich (not on sourdough), no macs and cheese, and 2 juice boxes. Came here on a Friday, not busy at all. The young cashier helped us out and was pretty on top of it. We had two orders from the special sandwich menu, french dip 8" and smoked brisket 6". One sandwich had a modification and the other one was made as is. When received, the modification was in the non modified sandwich and the sizes were switched as well. Pretty disappointed because it was the specialty sandwiches so it was more expensive and we didn't want to complain or have it remade so we tried to eat it. Unfortunately it was hard to eat it cos one of the modifications was horseradish and we didn't expect the horseradish to be raw in the sandwich so it was like eating wasabi, burns. My beloved Quiznos of yesteryear is now a Sourdough & Company. The layout is remarkably similar, bringing back nostalgia of sandwich chains gone by. I had the pastrami and the thing that struck me right away was the awesomeness of the bread. It was sourdough, to my surprise, and it was warm with a crunchy outside crust and soft innards. Even though it was plenty soft, I still did get a little Captain-O-Crunch magic to the roof of my mouth (but it was not nearly as bad as Mr. Cucumber down the street and healed quickly, within a few days). Prices are a bit high but everything is high to this cheapskate tightwad extraordinaire. I wanted to try the clam chowder but it was a whopping five bucks for but a few ounces. Maybe I can ask for a free sample next time. read more

The clam chowder was not fresh, and I can't imagine serving clam chowder without offering at least two small pieces of sourdough to go with it. After all it is sourdough and Company. Also, don't bother asking for Tabasco sauce with your clam chowder, because they'll offer you some strange green spicy sauce and try and convince you it's similar. The lemonade was almost empty. Horrifically mismanaged. I watched as ten or more customers were turned away because the store was so badly understaffed they could not keep up with orders. I had to do a charge back on my order when I was told "just 20 minutes" an hour after placing my online order. I watched first hand as a tiny skeleton crew worked as fast and as hard as they possibly could - hopelessly outnumbered by demand. Cancelling an order apparently requires calling the owner - not something I was going to make these already overworked teenagers do in the middle of rush hour. Ridiculous that you can't make one sandwich in under an hour! Your don't trust your employees enough to have even ONE PERSON on site with the ability to cancel orders???? Get your %$#@ together "owner" - I watched over a $100 of business walk out your door in disappointment / frustration in the 10 minutes I was there cause you couldn't adequately staff your business. Gross! Pay your freaking staff man. Everyone there deserved a bonus. read more

I regret to say it but possibly the worst experience I've ever had at a Sourdough & Co. Which is extremely sad because I do enjoy eating at different locations. Definitely not this one. The star is only for the taste of the sandwich and soup only. The sourdough bread was good and crispy which is standard for any Sourdough & Co. But how employees were behaving during our meal was anything but appetizing. Employee#1: Horsing around. Pulled out a bread from the oven (with gloves- I guess thankfully) and was teasing to touch another employee with it and/or waving it in front of their face like it was a toy (not cool) right behind the counter in full view of customers (definitely not cool). Employee #2: The one being teased with the bread. Not doing much to correct the situation, was laughing and even playing along. Employee #3: Possibly sick of the situation and their behavior. Waiting for her shift to end so she can just leave the chaos. Very outwardly expressing her disgust and announcing she needs to leave soon. Sometime later, employee #1/2 screamed when they saw a bug on the floor and was frantically yelling for one of the employees to do something. Employee 3 (and my appetite) finally left. I felt like tossing all the food I just ate out of my stomach. Epic experience-- not at all in a good way. Will not be coming back anytime soon. read more
