As an employee of Jersey Mikes myself, I have never encountered anyone to be as rude over the phone as the gentlemen I spoke to about my Uber eats order. You don't answer the phone with "Jersey Mike's Fullerton, what you want?" When I asked about my order.. you said.. "what about it... " and continued with a disrespectful tone when I asked for extra pickles. You might be new, you might bot care about your job or it might be stressful for you... so it might be best if you have someone else handle the customer service portion of your job. read more

Have been a customer since they opened. Never had issues until COVID-19. Last time we went the whole order was messed up, ordered online. Went to the store today and we only had 2 face masks for 3 people. My husband covered his face with his shirt. I mentioned that the employee behind the counter did not have a mask on so it should be fine I dont. This employee went to the back and someone else came back a few minutes later and told us that we couldn't be in there without a mask. We ended up leaving. If you are going to make customers have masks so should you employees. This store is getting worae everytime. read more

Went in for the first time today and there was a bit of a line (which is a good problem to have!) I understand everyone is still working out the kinks, but I do have to say the atmosphere was a bit awkward at first. Not sure how to explain it, BUT then walked in Jacob (I asked for his name before leaving) and everything changed. This location ALWAYS messes up my order. I like to order through the app, for convenience. The app asks for names, which I assume is for the employees to know write name to write on the wrapper, but they NEVER do. When ordering on the app you can select your drink, which they NEVER put into the bag. They consistently mess up the actual sandwich order and orders are NEVER ready when the app says they will be ready. I have contacted management in the past and restaurant manager just gave excuse after excuse and no apparent effort to fix the problem. I even contact the district manager and was told they would get back to me, through email, with something as an apology for the poor service and never got an email. I am super disappointed in this location. We always go to Jersey Mikes before beach days with the kids. Our son has a gluten and dairy allergy, so we always order his on Gluten Free bread, with no cheese and no condiments, *Meat and cheese only.* Being this is a life threatening allergy, if the sandwich is messed up, we are basically SOL. We always order online in advance and make notes about the allergy and how we want the sandwich made. The last 3 times going here, we show up 30 min after placing the order and unfortunately still end up waiting because it has not been ready. Then once we get to the beach, none of the orders are correct. They have put cheese on the sandwich every time, a substantial amount of mayo on the sandwiches when we request no mayo. I really want to be able to continue to go here but it has happened way too many times lately. I totally understand a mistake every now and then, but it has got to a point where it is just completely careless, and the allergy our son has should be taken seriously. So I went into Jersey Mikes tonight and ordered 3 sandwiches. I asked if I could have the steak sandwich as a mini as I have an elderly parent who cannot eat a regular. The gentleman said no, although I requested to ask the manager for an exception. As the customer, I watched the body language of the "manager" as he laughed about his ask and then sent the original gentleman back to say they weren't able to do that. As a Manager you should always make the customer happy and find a way to help but in this case he thought the ask was a joke. As I quietly left I asked another employee who was just finishing his lunch in the lobby the name of his Manager and was told "why". I said it didn't matter but asked if I could have his name. I was told he didn't know his managers name and for me to walk to the counter and ask him. Unbelievable!! So if your looking for customer service, I would go down the road. Went into JM's today and was talked down in a very deprecating tone by one of the workers who was on the cash register after I reasonably stated I wasn't going to pay until I got my order. He got all snarky and ordered me to go wait in front. Then when the sandwich was ready all 22.00 dollars of it. I asked for the name of the franchise owner and his name so I could contact them and complain about the non-existence of customer service, he got very loud and abusive claiming that they have no number for corporate or the franchise which I know was a lie, he also claimed to be the manager and that it's HIS store telling me I'm banned never come back in, which is fine, haven't been in in 3-4 months and it isn't the only sandwich store, maybe they understand the words customer service. First and LAST time. The guy prepping the sandwiches was a complete slop! He literally just threw the sandwiches at me and didn't even bother putting them in a bag. I had to ask him for bag and his response was "oh you want a bag?" Of course I want a bag for my to go sandwiches! We even had to ask him if he wanted us to do his job...that's how awful he was. Please take a moment to read this review. Tuesday 8/8/17 about 8:30pm was my first time to this Jersey Mikes or any Jersey mikes for that matter. It will also be my last time here. Most people would think that as someone like myself who has been working in the service industry for a long time that my expectations are unrealistic. I am here to say that it's the complete opposite. Us in the service industry are more patient and understanding because we know what it is like but these people named JOEY and ARIEL were some of the most rude and disrespectful people I've ever encountered at any restaurant. It started as my girlfriend and I walked in and looked at the menu. We were unsure of what to order being that it was our first time here. We didn't take longer than 2 mins to order. I went with a Tuna sandwich and she ordered some buffalo chicken wrap. Joey then asked my girlfriend what kind *tortilla* she wanted for her wrap. She asked him what kind of wraps they had. So he named the 3 in a very annoyed manner like we should already know what kind of wraps they have. Joey then asked me if I wanted my Tuna sandwich "Mike's way" I didn't know what he meant so I asked "what is mikes way?" Annoyed again, he responded by naming the ingredients. (A little patience would be nice we've never been here before is what I'm thinking.) No worries because we ignored it. As we go to pay another employee charged us and he was friendly. We even tipped... not because the service was good only because it's a service, we get it. So my girlfriend and I go to sit down waiting for our order to be called. We go to grab a drink and there was no ice tea... so I tried to check the other container and it was also out. No matter not a big deal. *Enter ARIEL* She looks at me and says your order's ready. I had a look of confusion. She didn't call out a number, no calling out the order, no tray, no bag. There was only one item I expected her to hand me two and it didn't look like a sandwich so I looked at her again and before I got to ask what it was she just pushed it towards me and said "it's yours" rudely. I guess it's to much to ask for a little reassurance that the order was ours. So I sat back down and Ariel called me again and said here you go, we're closed, very rudely. My girlfriend and I looked at each other surprised. Had we been asked nicely to leave we would've have understood, we get it. They want to get out of there too. But now, that was more than once they they were rude and frankly disrespectful. Now they're kicking us out. Fine, we walk out and the more I thought about it the more upset I became. We treated them with respect we tipped them we were polite. And we were met with the opposite. So as my girlfriend and I are eating in the car we realize we weren't even handed napkins. Now I'm upset. So I go back to the restaurant and try to open the door and it's locked. So all 3 of the employees look at me. I point toward the napkin dispenser and Ariel nods as if saying no we're closed. And very upset I gesture with my hands "Napkins! My hands are dirty!" She still nods but Joey comes to the door. He didn't let me in. He didn't even bring the napkin dispenser that was sitting on the table to the door. He grabbed a few napkins and handed them to me. I was furious. So I went back to the car and told my girlfriend that we didn't need to eat this food. I can't eat food from a place where their employees don't take pride in their work. I can't eat at a place with obviously such low standards. So, how do I even know that this place has high food standards? I knew at that moment I had to write a review. So I downloaded the app which I haven't used in forever, specifically for this review. A word of advice to the management of this place. If you care at all about your business, please hire people who don't look miserable being there. Please hire people who take pride in the work they do. Don't hire rude, disrespectful people like ARIEL or JOEY to be the face of your establishment. This was by far the worst experience I ever had. read more

UPDATE: since I wrote my initial review I have changed my score to 4 stars. Clarissa reached out to me about the issue and assured me that it was discussed with Monique. My review was not to get Monique in trouble but to simply remind her that she is in a service Industry and that requires customer service skills. A skill she still needs to perfect in my opinion. Thank you Clarissa for your attention to this matter. I went to have lunch at this location, I was greeted by the male cashier and was quickly assisted with my order by another gentleman. When I asked the woman, Monique to put on her mask when making my sandwich she replied in a very derogatory voice that "it is not mandatory." Yet she had the mask on her chin not willing to put it on upon my request. All the other 4 male employees had theirs on but Monique refused. I love the food and 90% of the time this location is clean, friendly and attentive but I have to think twinge on returning here because of her attitude. Even if it is not mandatory by the company, I asked for her to put it on since we are in a middle of a pandemic with the Coronavirus and are being asked to stand 6' apart. But I guess that is just not important to her. Her attitude and herself for that matter have no business in service. I doubt I will be returning to this location. read more

I have been here about ten times since they opened. In the past we had an issue where bacon was supposed to be on our sandwiches but when we got home there wasn't any. The other times went well. I read reviews and they seem to have had some trouble. I came in a few weeks ago and the service was great. The workers were very friendly and did a great job. Time for a vegetarian rant. I realize a sub shop is not going to cater to the vegetarian market, but this Jersey Mike's offers a veggie option on their menu, so they appear to be courting the meat free customer in the most minimal way. What I observed however, is that they use the same slicer for meat (including pork) to slice the cheese they use for the veggie sub. Had I called-in my order and not witnessed the sandwich prep, I would have thought I was eating a meat free sandwich prepared using VERY meaty utensils. I first walked in the door and slipped almost falling down because someone mopped right in front of the door (no caution signs posted anywhere). Then nobody was around, I had to whistle to get someone's attention (the sad 3 employees in the back). 1st visit here and our experience was horrible. The girl who made our sandwiches, Stephanie was rude from the start. I explained that it was our 1st visit to Jersey Mike's and she still did not even take a second to acknowledge that. She asked if I wanted my sandwich the "Mikes Way" and when I asked what that was (keep in mind I've never been here) she rudely pointed to the sign instead of simply explaining it to me. Today I received a buy one get one free coupon and was told by the manager at this location that it was only for participating locations. Excuse me, please tell me where on the coupon where the participating locations are?? She did honor the coupon only after I questioned her on the locations.
