My husband picked up a sandwich at my favorite sandwich shop, which he does every weekend at this location. There is always a problem when he goes. He said the person making the sandwich was not nice and put only a couple piece of meat on my sandwich. He said something to her but she did not listen. It was true hardly any meat and a couple strands of lettuce, i was not enjoying it at all. We spend 11 dollars for a sandwich and get bad customer service! We love Jersey Mike's subs. I think it is the fact that every sub is (or can be) customized to what you specifically want, plus the fact that the ingredients seem to be quality, that makes this a better than average sandwich place. I like the veggie w/ red pepper relish, I actually like anything with red pepper relish, reminds me of a sandwich shop form the 1980's in our area called Chompies-- and funnily enough, I was standing in line one day and someone my age had the same memory! Anyway, I haven't had a bad sandwich here of everything I've tried. The service is very fast and attentive here, they go through a lot of orders and long lines very efficiently. I come here often for myself but especially for my daughter, at least once every two weeks and we get the same thing every time, a kids meal with turkey and ham and that comes with a drink and a cookie. But the last two times we have went I was told I cant get turkey and ham even though I'm not getting bacon or anything else on the sandwich. I was already there and my daughter really wanted a sandwich so I ended up settling with the plain ham sandwich instead of ham and turkey like we always get. we get home and my daughter would not eat the sandwich because it was not the sandwich she usually eats. I try asking why I can't do both like I always get and they never have an answer. Why is it okay the other 100 times but not this time? the man making the sandwich tried to upsell me to the mini sandwich which would make my total almost double because a drink and cookie is not included in that which my daughter looks forward to. This is poor customer service to not have a sign or any indication that I cannot make that choice to have both meats on my sandwich and to just switch it up out of nowhere to tell me I can no longer order the sandwich how we have for over a year now. We don't plan to be back to this location. I will now be driving to a farther location in Carson where I know I won't have any problems with my order. The guy (I'm assuming who is the manager, wasn't even assisting me just butting in) also tried to tell the cashier to charge me for a mini when I didn't order a mini I ordered a kids meal. Then tried to purposely give the wrong cookie. Was standing around most of the time I was there, but as soon as I get to the register was the moment he just had to take all the cookies off the counter, thinking I would forget or just say I didn't want the cookie with the kids meal. I came in right before closing 8/2/21 and was instantly greeted by the team members. Everyone was masked up and the store was spotless. A young lady made my California club sub TO PERFECTION! Every time I come in, either the bacon or avocado gets left out, but this time everything was perfect. London took her time and asked if I wanted it "mikes way" or any add ons. last sunday 4 teenagers running this place one on the register one packing the sandwich one adding condiments and one cutting the meats and cutting the bread.. I was second in line I left last because asked for two same sandwiches they were making me only one and they figured it out after it came out of the grille the girl adding the condiments seemed to have a bad attitude. I had the cashier repeat what he said like 3 times I couldn't understand what he is saying too shy to talk and to finish it off they give me a small bag for my sandwiches they were cut in half and wrapped separate how does that make sense. A place like this needs people who know what customers are there for people come in and want to order and leave not order and hang out here watch 4 employees per customer if your order is to go. Usually i just say it's not worth the hassle but today i actually went back to return my sandwich. The cashier argued with me saying that my sandwich was made correctly but c'mon man. The lady that took my order was polite. The young lady that was the cashier was polite as well. The girl that made my sandwich was very unprofessional in her conversation and couldn't focus right and messed up on my sandwich. She handed me my sandwich and asked it it was just mayo and lettuce on it. She was like oh no thought it was lettuce and tomatoes. Then took it back and was sarcastic and said next time I need to wait outside for my order when no else said so and it was just me and another customer that came in. How difficult is it? I call in an order for one sandwich at 10:30 to be picked up at noon. I call back at 11:25 and ask if I can pick up at 12:15 instead. The person who answered said "no problem". I'm standing here at 12:25 waiting for my order that's still not ready yet. Finally received it at 12:27. I visited this location today for a quick lunch and the service I received from the time I walked in to the time I paid was above and beyond what you normally get a a fast food place. I was greeted by two employees the food service was fast and the my sandwich was delicious. I asked what the young mans name was that help me and he said he was the manager and his name is Hugo. I let him know that he has excellent customer service and he made my visit here feel like if I eat here all the time and I'm a regular. I was rushing home form Torrance because my son needed my car for work. I decided to order the sandwiches on the mobile app so they could be ready on the way home. When I arrived they were not ready and I had to wait an extra 15 min. I was not planning to say anything but the cashier handed me one sandwich and I said, there should be 3. She then had a really nasty attitude like she was going to lose it with me and became really rude which took me off guard. I then said, well you guys were 15 min late and she had a serious attitude about it. No apologies. First time trying this place and definitely the last so here's why : 1. I ordered ahead of time online and waited 15 mins before going in to pick up my order jus to wait an additional 35 mins. I understand they were busy and it's no biggie, but I didn't come to feel sorry about how busy they were. I came to get me food and go. 2. Nobody acknowledged me. Not a " hi " or " welcome " when I walked in and they did that to everyone else there. 3. I FINALLY got my order after waiting a bit over an hour. Got home and they gave me the wrong bag of chips & 1 wrong sandwhich out of the 2. At first didn't care about the sandwich being wrong , I'm starving and at first glance the only problem seemed to be the size but when I opened the sandwich to inspect it , it's a completely different sandwich & wrong size. So now I have to drive all the way back and wait longer for them to give me the correct meal. 4.I'm now back and told them what was wrong. One employee is finally remaking my sandwich and then gets interrupted by the manager telling him that he needs him to go somewhere in San Pedro for him to do whatever. The one employee stops making my sandwich and tells another girl to finish making it. Why the hell do you need 2 different people to make ONE sandwich? The customer service was not very welcoming here, as soon as I walk in all the employees had their heads down and not one person acknowledged me until I was standing there for about 10 minutes. To top it all off they got my order wrong, I had ordered two regular size sandwiches and they gave me one regular one mini so I had to return to the location and wait for time for them to make that sandwich. Love jersey mikes and frequent the marina location as it's close to work. The reason I'm giving them a one star is because when I order from here there's always a key component of the sandwich missing. Tonight was the last straw (4/23) as I called in an order for a giant number 9 mikes way and told them to add pickles and red pepper relish . They did and that but forgot the mayo and bacon. I would like to try other kinds I like that They had a variety of sandwiches what I didn't like about the place was that the staff moves to quick. I saw one girl touch her mask while making the sandwiches. No social distancing. The workers are literally on top of each other while making the sandwiches . I was stuck at home so I ordered online delivery. A sandwich for lunch and one for later and a wrap for the next day. I ordered two sandwiches and a wrap. I specifically put in the notes that I did NOT want any oil or vinegar on either sandwich. I put in the notes for one sandwich that I did not want tomatoes on that sandwich. So, you guessed it, both sandwiches were doused in oil and there was tomato on the one sandwich. So don't expect them to actually read your notes. I was able to wipe off most of the oil but there was a lingering taste so it's hard to rate the food. Also, this location does not have any items with chicken available. None.
