This is my first time trying Jersey Mikes and I can assure you it will be the last! I came in curious to check out the menu and after speaking with a patron about their suggestions I ordered a club sandwich. The young lady assembled the sandwich and then asked if I would like bacon. This confused me because a club sandwich comes with bacon right???? So she proceeds to put the bacon on the sandwich which was so burnt it was Litterally black in color. I asked her to please not put the blackened bacon on my sandwich. She proceeds to pick some of the blackened bacon off my sandwich and replace it with less blackened/burnt bacon. After spending $11 bucks on a sandwich I'm sitting here at work trying to eat the sandwich that at this point just tastes like burnt bacon! I just threw $11 dollars in the trash!!! Then it was once a week, and the continued to mess up the order. Now we order once a month or less, and this is the 4th consecutive time they have messed up the order. The two franchise owners refuse to give their full names so they go by Jeremy & Perry. Unfortunately Perry has a speech impediment, so he stuttered for a few seconds before I could understand what was going on and asked for the manager who is named Mike. Mike admitted he was new and did not know how to stop an order or refund a to go order. I used UberEats and on a $24 order I tipped the driver $20. Went to open the bag on the counter, and realized that even though they are a franchise they make up their own rules as they go. So instead of the staple product you would get all over the country these two moron franchisees have come up with their own system. So I called the restaurant and spoke to Manager Mike, who I would say in my opinion isn't worthy to be a manager. Sorry Mike, you need a lot more training, and respect is one quality you lack in speaking with a customer. You knew I was a paying customer because I told you my order and you had it it in your hand or on another computer screen. Mike, since you are so smart and understand the law so well, please explain this to me 1st. How do you screw up two sandwiches at the same time. The Staple of a philly cheese steak,** WRAP IT IN TINFOIL. ***Therefore it stays warm the whole time. Just think about it. Maybe it will come to you and the franchisees once I have a conversation with Corporate office later this week. Just because, I didn't want all the other toppings or mayonnaise WHY TOP IT WITH MUSTARD AND JALAPEÑOS? By the quarter pound? You typically get spicy mustard but again these franchisees Jeremy and Perry who refuse to give their last name? Don't follow company franchise rules or in this case laws to be a franchisee. Now Mike remember when you said you were going to call the police because I told you I was going to call their corporate office so I could make sure you were fired. Go educate yourself about what harassment means and when the law applies. Mike the next time a police officer comes through the line, I suspect his meal would of been paid for before he got to the register, but if not, maybe you could pay for it and ask her or him what harassment means. My goal will be for this location to follow the by-laws of being a franchise and Mike my other goal will be to try to get you fired. I called Uber they listened to the story, comped my entire meal and said who doesn't wrap a cheesesteak in Tinfoil? Maybe Mike that should be a crime. Or not using spicy mustard over yellow mustard should be a crime or at least a ticket for not asking? They offer salt which is actually in the manual. They don't have to offer pepper. And though they are not required to offer it, a lot of people like it, so the cheapest of cheap franchisees don't offer pepper. Odd rule. But Mike enjoy your night. I will enjoy mine. my husband myself and my 8 year old granddaughter just left this establishment and as a black patron will never ever go to this place again. The older gentleman (darker skinned) who maybe the owner or manager made sure he came from behind the counter not once but twice to ask the white family sitting behind us how their sandwiches were. then came back out to talk to their daughters and said they were telling me about their shoes, again while walking past us twice without a word or even a glance. I was glad to see that they were open because I know a lot of places close early now. They still don't offer dine in but thats ok since I was getting my order to go anyway. All of the employees had on masks and gloves which was great to see. While my order was being cooked they were getting customers in and out since they ordered cold subs. They were fast and very professional. I ordered my favorite which is number 43 the Chipotle Cheesesteak for myself and my brother with the meat cooked with oregano. I had the peppers and onions removed from mine but while I was eating there were a few in there due to my brother's food being made right beside mine but it was no big deal I just picked them out. Last few times I went in there, the store was messy. They employ all young kids who don't seem to care about the state of the store. I am from out of town and stopped at this Jersey Mikes to get a meal. I arrived past the dinner crowd and I was greeted immediately upon entering and I was the only patron in the restaurant, maybe one other person. I was very impressed that all the employees were cleaning the restaurant and doing their jobs! I had to wait a little bit bc the staff was restocking food etc but when the sandwich artist began making my sandwich, he was courteous and professional and communicated well. Employees do not wash their hands at all. Saw one guy with gloves touch his mask, stopped to take me order, then went back to cutting meat all with the same gloves. After the lil rush they had he leaves to go pick up a pizza next door then hops back on the line to put new gloves without even washing his hands also if you want your sandwich made right I don't recommend ordering online. Was very excited to hear we were getting a Jersey Mike's within walking distance. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I've been twice and both times they were busy, both with walk-ins and online orders. But they were all smiles, and very nice to us. They talked, smiled, and said thank you several times. The food is very good and I love that they make it all fresh that day. My only complaint (a minor one) is that it is a bit high priced for a sub.
