I normally would give this store five stars but my last two visits last Thursday and today 8/14/24 I can honestly say the service was very slow with today's causing me to walk out without ordering. When I arrived today I was behind four people waiting to order. After fifteen minutes and only moving up two spots I left. I understand online orders are very abundant but don't cause the in store customers to suffer. I'm not sure if Gaurrin still owns this location but he would not be happy with the slow service. Ummm YUM! I like jersey mikes, used to love, but then some locations are inconsistent. This location the service and the way this man, RJ, made my Philly cheesesteak made me love it again! Cause Errhhmaahhgaadhhhddd was that good I had #56 & 43, (numbers could be wrong) but it's The Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms jalapeños grilled onions and chipotle sauce. I had it on the wrap to enrapture the flavor. Unfortunately I don't have a picture, I devoured it. Thought of taking a pic half way through, but it was too good to stop. I want to give credit where credit is due.... Placed an order of 6x sandwiches right dead center during lunch time. When I went to pick up, place looked like an ant house because it was so busy.... workers were going at it at the fastest pace they could. The huge plus is they acknowledged being backed up and offered online and phone orders a free drink or extra cookies to make it up. These are just the little things which for me goes a long way to notice the wait times are longer as opposed to not do anything. My hat to the crew for working that hard. Beware - this location will never get an online order correct. My latest order was for 2 sandwiches and 2 chocolate chip cookies. I should've known better, but after getting home the cookies were missing. I called the store about it and specifically asked if they had chocolate chip cookies so I can pick them up, because hey mistakes happen. They said they do and I can go pick it up. I showed up and they have no chocolate chip cookies. Jersey Mike's is usually alright, but this location is kind of whack. Here is why............ 1. The music playing in the place was WAY TOO DAMN LOUD! Couldn't even hear yourself think. Seriously! I had to pretty much YELL my order to the guy making my sandwich. About that guy............. 2. Unfriendly as fuck! You think a "Welcome to Jersey Mike's" or "What can I get you?" Or something along those lines should be standard protocol for greeting customers. Not here. The dude cutting the meat and taking my order was incredibly monotone and didn't smile or acknowledge me or anything. Because the music was so loud, and because he never asked how he could help me, I kind of just walked up there and told him what I wanted. He made my sandwiches the correct way, but was straight mad dogging the whole time with no emotion on his face. Wasn't just me either, the lady behind me had trouble placing her order, too. Partly because the music was so damn loud, partly because the employee just looked like he didn't want to be there. Hope he was just having a shitty day, and that's not his "normal" personality. Now with the bad stuff out of the way, the girl making my sandwich and the cashier that rung me up, were actually very nice and friendly. Keep them, get rid of the sandwich maker. I've actually been curious about @JMSoCal Jersey Mike's ever since they opened a while back but I never had the chance to try it. I actually was hearing just so-so review of the place and so part of me wasn't too sure if it was worth making the trip here. Luckily, this past Monday Jersey Mike's was doing a special promo for a good cause. On March 28, Southern California residents were invited to make a minimum contribution of a dollar to the Lakers Youth Foundation in exchange for a free regular sized sub. I thought it was pretty neat that the Lakers Youth Foundation along with Jersey Mike's Subs had this March "Month of Giving" fund raising campaign. When I went to go check it Jersey Mikes out, they were really cool with informing customers about the promo and the cause. Big kudos to them :). For my first trip here, I got the Chipotle cheese steak. It comes with grilled onions, peppers and chipotle mayo! I agree with their tag line for this sandwich of "Wow! You gotta have one." I liked this sandwich a lot! It was very flavorful. The grilled onions, peppers and chipotle mayo made a nice combo with the cheese steak. Note (cheese steaks can be made with steak or chicken). I would be willing to come back here. Some of their other sandwiches sound good and I saw that they have lemon bars (my fave!). The only thing I would sorta complain about is that their sandwiches are small for the price. $7.75 for a regular sub that is small is kinda on the pricey side. We were starving and decided to give this place a try. Food - Good! We both got regular sized cold sandwiches ( Roast Beef and Provolone, and Turkey Breast and Provolone ). We were asked if we wanted it "Mike's Way". Sure. Why not? Then they poured this vinegar dressing on top along with other seasonings...yum! Also, you are given a choice of white or wheat bread and we both got wheat. It was soft and good. Service - We didn't wait long to get our sandwich; it's like a subway, only better IMO. We received a LARGE box of fresh cut Jersey Mike's subs and a dozen assorted fresh baked cookies. The subs and cookies were a hit at our Easter dinner with family (subs/cookies were something different than the usual ham)! We eat at Jersey Mike's a lot and enjoy their fresh made subs (Giant #13 is awesome), cookies (gotta have he chocolate chip), etc. Every time we eat at Jersey Mike's their service is always over the top, the place is spotless and it's always busy. Jersey Mike's makes a pretty tasty sub. Get it "Mike's Way". OK, first, location: part of a strip mall that doesn't have enough parking for the stores that share it (the parking spots I mean). When you have a Costco and Bed, Bath, & Beyond, you probably need at least double the space. Plus, this is adjacent to probably THE worst intersection in the area. It just means parking is tight. Especially during lunchtime. Jersey Mike's starts to get a line forming around 1130 and noon, but the line moves pretty quick. The layout is basically, walk in the door and there are booths on your right and the business side on your left. Go all the way to the back and start your order from there. Hot and cold sandwiches are available. They have bowls (Sub In A Tub) if you don't want the bread. The prices are a little higher (about $8 for a regular) than other sub shops, but it's worth it. I've been here a few times now and really enjoy it. It's really the best chain sub shop around in my opinion. The store is clean and attractive - in that franchise decorated kind of way. The location is in a pretty busy center, especially during the lunch hour, but there is still plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly while still being efficient, which is actually more important to me. I would rather have a jerk make my sandwich right then a sweetheart screw it up :) As for the quality of the food - it was great and consistently so over multiple visits! The ingredients are all fresh and the meats & cheeses are sliced to order. Is it better then Subway? Yes it is but it also costs more. Still all in all it is a good value. Tip: Try your sandwich "Mike's Way", at least on your first visit; after all it is called Jersey Mike's. Just tried picking up my sandwich that was supposed to be ready pre order at 2:17pm. I waited in front of pick up beside this other woman and they did not acknowledge me for 10 minutes. Kept talking to the other woman though. I don't mind waiting if you acknowledge my existence and give me an update. Instead there was only about 7 people inside more than half waiting on to go orders so I can't really understand why it was difficult. The staff was already busy with orders, but out of nowhere they got slammed with 15 walk in customers, not to mention phone orders. The staff KILLED IT!! Everybody was communicating and working together one order at a time.
