My friend and I ordered the arugula salad with poached egg on top, chorizo burrito, truffle crunch sandwich, and of course mixed berry cheesecake waffle with two blood orange drinks. The arugula salad was so light and flavorful from the vinaigrette dressing, some acid with the tomato and the poached egg made the entire plate creamy. The chorizo burrito has its staple egg, potato, and cheese with the chorizo giving the entire thing a nice kick to it. I loved the arugula in the crunchy truffle sandwich added such a nice lightness to the entire sandwich and the truffle elevated the sandwich with its umami flavor. And the waffle is my go to favorite sweets there and drink was a nice end to a savory meal. Staffing there was very sweet and kind! The flour tortilla was soft and rolled well to contain the creamy scrambled eggs, beer-battered potatoes (a real game changer), crispy bacon, and a mildly spicy tomatillo based salsa. Still my favorite breakfast restaurant in the OC area. The store inside is spanking clean -- tables gleaming and spotless, not a crumb found on the ground inside or outside the restaurant. I think it has got to be one of the CLEANEST store in all of the area. I eat out a lot and don't know of any other restaurant facilities that's as clean as EggBred HB location. Love knowing their breakfast sandwiches are $2 off Monday-Thursday. I know I will be swinging by just to get some food especially when I am taking my dogs to Vetco. I am bummed I have to leave a negative review. I'm not a huge egg person but I was in the mood and remembered I had bookmarked it. The pictures depict this luscious soft egg scramble overfilling a bun. That's not what I got. The ordering process was fine; you pay and wait for your order. There was only one other couple in there, otherwise, it was pretty quiet inside. However there were literally over probably 10 people working in the visible kitchen. All of them working. I noticed countless good sized takeaway orders being picked up while we waited. I only ordered the Scramble Me Softly and it took upwards of 15 minutes to get my sandwich. It seemed they fully prioritized take out orders over in person orders. Having worked in food for years, it would be pretty easy to just make an extra sandwich along side similar orders. When I finally did get the sandwich, it was quite sad compared to the pictured product. The eggs were not luscious and fluffy. They were basic scrambled eggs with some grilled onions and a sweet bun. There was actually too much bun for the small amount of egg in the sandwich. I didn't even end up finishing the sandwich, and that's with my boyfriend trying it as well. Admittedly, other products I saw them make did look appealing. However, I am too underwhelmed to give this place a 2nd chance. read more

Today we finally tried this place, here's my review. We ordered a Chorizo burrito and an Applewood Smoked Bacon burrito with 2 cokes. My chorizo burrito was low on Chorizo and had a lot of potatoes in it. I'd say it was decent. My wife's burrito was decent also, nothing that stood out in it. If you want a 12oz can of Coke it's $3.00, maybe they should buy them at Costco or Smart and Final or get a fountain machine. 2 burritos and 2 cans of Coke came to $35.68 with tip. They also have a chicken sandwich and it comes with dipping gravy. We drank the gravy like soup. We found out this place from a friend's insta story.
