I hate when franchises charge more based on their locations. Was so irritated when I went to order on the app and discovered the meal I usually get at a nearby location was $1 more at this location. I checked several surrounding locations and all the surrounding locations had the same price lower except for this one. Forget that, I'll vote with my dollar and go to any other location but this one. Especially sucky since this location is so close to the high school.... I feel bad for the HS kids. It consists of nothing but ground beef and cheese. Whoever created this burrito was really high at the time and didn't have his or her mind, grounded in reality. Take a good look at these pictures and tell me this looks like a good option. I love Del and I'm saying this out of love but this one option that really shouldn't be on the menu. #1 it's slightly smaller than a bean burrito but it's $4.50, yeaaaa it's kind of a ruff deal for sure #2 you gotta add some flavor and some diversity into this situation. The best thing I can select out of my "meal" was that the chicken was decent and warm; the tortilla was also warm. I ordered 2 chicken quesadilla tacos since I had a BOGO coupon from the app. I was charged for both the tacos but only ate one since it was so meh. Ever wonder why this location lacks in customer service, flavor or quality? Well today I found out why. This is a franchised owned location and seems to have slipped through the cracks in quality control. Today I ordered two tacos, a burrito and some fries. When I asked for sauce I was told I couldn't have the amount I wanted. I was rudely told "you only ordered three items!!" I usually don't discuss my eating habits here or anywhere for that matter but I still believe it's my choice how much sauce I use. If I needed to pay for extra, tell me that. McDonald's does. But to totally be refused and yelled at is ridiculous. I felt humiliated and cheap for only buying three items. Sorry that's all I wanted to eat. Someone owes me an apology. After, I called the location at Seacliff and they were happy to apologize on their behalf. As a corporate run location they know how to treat customers. I went in just to buy a soda. I was helped by Raza, whom I believe is the manager. I got my change and walked out then realized my change seemed to be incorrect as I thought I handed a $20. I went back in and was told I gave a $5. So hard to be certain so I assumed this was correct. As I was backing out of my parking spot Raza quickly came out and stopped me. He said he checked and yes I did in fact give him a $20. He then have me the correct change. I am very impressed with this level of service. Good people at this location. I used to like Del Taco for its cheep good quality food and friendly service. I used to work in the High Desert as an EMT so I got used to the high quality of the original 3 still owned by the original family that started Del Taco. The food is cheaper up there, brought to your table with a friendly smile. This Del Taco location is garbage and is extraordinarily expensive. I recently bought my wife and I a steak dinner for $16 each. We should not have bought two as one was enough to feed us for a couple days, it was so much good food we even made steak sandwiches for lunches. Then approximately a week later I went to this DT location to buy us dinner; I could barely understand them, they got the order wrong and the worst part was the two cost $24 bucks. If I am 17, the high school quarterback, go to Edison and drive a raise F 150 I got for Christmas after failing all my classes, then Del Taco is my Friday night "hang spot" to "kick it with the boys." I'd totally sit here playing KROQ really loud and waiting for my boys to cruise through with news of a party going down in Seacliff. Sometimes I'd even play wiffle ball in the parking lot if things weren't happening. The one plus side of this Del Taco is that it is open 24/7. There is a short Hispanic guy that is regularly at the drive thru window that is not friendly at all and never informs you of the price of your food.
