I don't frequent Jersey Mike's as often as Jimmy John's. But I had accumulated enough points to get a freebie. So here's the deal. IMO JJ's bread is better. Past that, Jersey Mike's more than holds its own. The sandwiches are well packed. You can add extras as though you're at (dare I say it?) Subway. Far more options than JJ's. So why is Jersey Mikes my second choice? The lettuce. It's shredded. So, if you're scarfing down lunch while driving, lettuce goes everywhere. And if you don't skip the vinegar and oil, you'll be leaking like a 54 Ford. The workaround, of course, is to skip the lettuce & dressings. But what fun is that? If Jersey Mike's rolled up the lettuce in the meat, like JJ's, we might just have a winner. What do you think? Color me curious. read more

I decided to stop in while traveling from Indy to Louisville and I'm glad I did. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I ordered the portobello mushroom Swiss, which is my current JM favorite. I added tomatoes and lettuce to the standard ingredients. My sandwich was perfectly prepared: the green peppers were neither undercooked nor overcooked, cheese was melted, and the mushrooms were flavorful. Tomato slices were red and juicy, lettuce was fresh and crisp. The bread was fresh, as always. The restaurant was super clean, every table was clean and the floor was spotless. The friendly employees really made this an excellent experience. It is easy to see that take pride in their work and genuinely care about providing their customers with great service. read more

Always good quality, service, and taste. For me the best subs in town. I've looked all over and tried sandwich shops from mom and pop shops, chains, hipster sub shops, the sandwiches at butchers and farmers markets. Every time there is a new place to try and I always come back here. My wife loves Jersey Mike's, my kids, and their kids. For me is number 13, I get it Mike's way but I also add the pepperoncini peppers, mayo, pickles, and hot peppers. I prefer white bread but the wheat is good too. Sometimes we ask for it grilled, they take the meats they just sliced and grill them releasing the oils and flavors even more. Yum! But also the meatball, turkey club, and roast beef are all high on my list. Still, the 13 is my go-to traditional sub. Why is it better? Maybe because they seem to use better grade meats but I think also slicing the meats fresh as you order makes a difference. The bread is better and they have the best quality of additions. Some places start with top quality then go for the cheap tasteless stuff after a couple of years. Jersey Mike's has not done this. Pull out any single ingredient and taste it, it's all better than places like Subway, Blimpies, or Jimmy Johns. They are not even in the same class. Service is always great and no matter how busy, they always treat you with respect. I do wish they would add some NY or Jersey-style soft drinks, real ginger ale, cream sodas, or seltzers. Dr. Browns, NY Seltzer, or Vernors for example. After all, it's an East Coast sandwich shop, it should have East Coast sodas to go with it. read more

I am not much of a sandwich girl, but after a recommendation of a coworker, Philly cheese steak for the win! Wow! So much meat packed into that sandwich. So good, I forgot to take a picture. Service was quick. I opted to do a combo with chips and drink. The regular was so much sandwich. I ate a 1/3 or less abs my kiddo had some yummy left overs for after school. This is not the first time we been to Jersey Mike's. I actually got my first taste at the first Jersey Mikes while at work. We traveled to North Carolina and visited a store with Pete Cancro regarding some beverage equipment. He offered us all a sub sandwich. Bingo, but we didn't have one near our home or office in Indiana. Our son played for Vanderbilt football; so we had this tailgating group and one of our group came with some Jersey Mike's. I had to ask where in Nashville do you find this place. It was far from campus, that was a big plus; thus thereafter we had Jersey Mike's as one of the staple foods at our tailgate. Hence, a few years later Louisville opened there first Jersey Mike's but it was a decent drive for us to just stop at; Finally southern Indian opened its first. We have been fairly regular customers since. I must say the ingredients are very fresh and the staff seems to be typically always happy and at there best. We even went to Packer game in Green Bay and our first tailgate items were from Jersey Mikes. My other son was first introduced to their sandwiches and has been a favorite of them since. The location in Jeffersonville, IN has all the same qualities we lived since our introduction to Jersey Mike's. The staff has alway s been attentive and personable while serving us! I have tried. I really have. I just can't recommend Jersey Mike's. I also can't tell what makes them special, if anything at all. I've been inside to eat a nice sub, but I got a mediocre one. I tried it Mike's way, but I got a wet, mediocre sub. I order online, and I didn't get a sub, mediocre or otherwise. They forgot half the order. They can't blame the delivery service since the bag was sealed, which was nice. Perhaps I'm ordering the wrong sub. I've had the No. 7 turkey with provolone. Meh. I've had the No. 57 Big Kahuna. Eh. I tried the No. 5 Super Sub Mike's Way. Blah. What is everyone ordering that keeps Jersey Mike's in business? What I didn't get was the No. 8 Club Sub. Is that it? Is that the one? I was a fan of Jersey Mike's when I lived in Florida so I was excited to see one near my house. It's a casual walk up and order establishment. I get the same thing every time...tuna! Simply the best tuna I've ever eaten. You decide what goes on your sandwich. You can make it a combo meal that will include chips and a soda. The place is clean, the staff is young and eager to help or answer any questions. You can choose your type of bread as well. This place saved me during lent, I had tuna the whole Lenten season. And it was consistently good. Jersey Mikes serves fresh sliced meat, not something you'll find in every sandwich shop. If you get a chance give them a try, you will not be sorry. Don't care for bread with your tuna? They served mine in a hollowed out tomato which blew me away. When in doubt as to where to get a sandwich, Jersey Mike's makes the choice easy! read more

We've had Jersey Mike's before when we were traveling and really enjoyed it. Now this location is close to our home so we're definitely happy to have one near us. They are in the same strip area that Jimmy Johns is in. Love both of these establishments, but do love that Jersey Mike's has hot subs!! The chipotle chicken cheesesteak is THE best. Plus they have all of your regular sandwiches. We love that they slice the meat and cheese right then and there for each person. It's a little expensive, but it's definitely good. My husband and I got two regular size sandwiches, one hot and one cold, two drinks and one bag of chips for $22. Not TOO bad since it's about the same price as Jimmy Johns, but personally I hate spending more than $15 on sandwiches for lunch. Definitely great service and friendly staff and a great location! I ordered the Italian tub. Basically, it's everything on the Italian sub but it's loaded onto shredded lettuce. The presentation is unique because they roll the meat and cheese and just pile it on top. Jersey Mike's Subs is my favorite sub place but it doesn't translate as well onto shredded iceberg. It's nowhere near as tasty or filling this way. However, I don't know it's fully their fault; I'm thinking I mostly just miss my bread. read more

I'm glad to have Jersey Mike's as an option so close to home. The location is very convenient. The food here is always fresh and my sandwiches are always made correctly. I'd give them 5 stars but they make me repeat myself SO much. I end up having to repeat my order 4-6 times during the ordering process which is very annoying. The cost is right and the sandwiches are very large! They really need to work out their staffing issues, having been open a few months now I thought it would be ironed out, but other than that it's a favorite spot to grab a sandwich to go! read more

Truly excited when Jersey Mike's opened near our home . . . before it opened the closest one was in Kentucky and too far for a quick sub. Our fav is the #7 - and have carried-out at this location many times (more than I care to admit!) since they have opened. I would estimate that 85% of the time the sub is prepared correctly and efficiently - the rest of the time they lack consistency - things like skimping on sliced meat or not enough lettuce (we actually had one sandwich with lettuce piled on only one end). You can definitely tell when the Manager is on-site and when he is not (like Saturday evenings). I do agree with the one review (1/13/18) regarding gloves . . . please change gloves more frequently. read more

Overall each time I've been here I've been very happy with my visit and the food. On occasion you'll see an employee that is slacking or not posting attention to what another co-worker is telling them. Example: A lady was working and called for the two guys in the back to come help with my order, both times they ignored her and continued to just lean and chat. Dec 17 my daughter and I went to Jersey Mike's for the 1st Time. The food was amazing! Taste like subs dropped from heaven. I returned a few days later and I couldn't get anyone to take my order. There were people eating in the dining area and no one else was in line. I walk up to the ordering station and 2 young ladies looked at me and walked down to where the cash register is. So I walked down to the pay area and said, oh am I supposed to order here?" One of the young ladies says no you are supposed to order there, where I was at first. I said, oh ok, and went back down to the ordering station. No one ever took my order. That was weird. I felt uncomfortable and I don't think I want to return. read more

Great subs. But most importantly the staff is so amazing. My car broke down and they were so kind and offered to help look at it and calmed me down when i was losing my mind. The food is pretty good, but the guy with neck tattoos (possibly the manager) is extremely blunt and rude. I understand if someone has a bad day, we're all human; but I have visited this specific store on numerous occasions and without a fail every time this guy is rude and treats you like you're an idiot. We have been twice in the last month or so and both times the sandwiches were amazing and friendly staff! I'm a little confused on why there are just so many employees, but since the location is so new, I'm assuming it's for training or learning to gauge sales at different points in the day. When I worked for Subway they only allowed 3 or 4 people on a shift and when I visit Penn Station I also see only a handful of employees so it's just a shock to see so many employees at one time!
