I'm not sure why this facility is only a 4.4. This is a very, very nice well-thought-out menu good dressing that should probably be on the shelf at Kroger. I have not personally sat down eating in the restaurant. I recently got a bowl of stuffed pepper soup, which was absolutely hearty filling, flavorful one of the best soups I've probably had in a long time and I never even understood the concept myself which I would've made that a long time ago had I ever thought about it it's a great soup that she provides along with about eight different options. I'm a super guy I like all kinds of different soups so whenever her associate said there was so many different soups I was like wow this is great cause I like to have my options. If you have not tried orange clover, you should try it. It's something that should be indefinitely in New Albany, Jeffersonville and Clarksville so people have options not a Panera, but at least a smaller version of it in each county which makes so much sense when I found out that her partner was a guy who I called Santa Claus in the grocery store just on a whim, not knowing him from Adam I liked her even more. I give her café a 10 out of 10 if Cisco and Ebert were actually alive and started a food rating reality show. read more

I rarely leave reviews like this, but our experience with Orange Clover was extremely disappointing and left us scrambling for a major family event. We were planning a catered event for May 30 with guests traveling from across the country. We initially went to Orange Clover and specifically asked to meet with Rachel/the owner. We were told she was busy, and Markez was sent to meet with us instead. From our perspective, he was clearly representing Orange Clover. During that meeting, the event was discussed as a catered event with staffing support. We were told the menu needed to be finalized closer to the event, approximately two weeks prior. At no point were we told a contract was required to hold the date. At no point were we asked for a deposit. No deadline was communicated. No contract was ever sent. The last written communication I received from Orange Clover was on January 16, 2026. In that email, Orange Clover wrote: "Other than that, we have everything we need on our end" and "We look forward to working with you." Based on that, we reasonably believed the event was on their calendar and moving forward. Months later, when I reached out to finalize details, we were told they were no longer available for our event because there had been no further communication, contract, or deposit. That was the first time we were told the date had not been secured. After I raised the issue, I was handed off again to someone else in sales/business development. He came out to discuss the situation, but there was still no real apology, no meaningful ownership from the owner, and no acknowledgment that we had relied on what Orange Clover told us in writing. I still have not spoken with the owner. Their proposed resolution was essentially that they might still be able to provide food, but not the servers/staffing support that had been originally discussed. That did not resolve the problem. At that point, we had lost confidence in Orange Clover's ability to support the event at all. Frankly, even if we agreed to food only, we were left wondering whether the food would actually arrive as promised. The issue is not that our plans changed. They did not. The issue is that Orange Clover failed to communicate, failed to follow up, failed to take ownership, and failed to honor the reasonable expectation created by its own written communication stating that they had everything they needed and looked forward to working with us. For a casual lunch or dinner, maybe others will have a better experience. But for a catered event, especially one involving guests traveling and significant planning, I would not recommend relying on Orange Clover. Our experience was disorganized, poorly communicated, and ultimately left us having to find another option on short notice. read more

Found OCK for lunch thanks to Yelp a couple years ago. I've been here a few times since, and what a charming little local breakfast/lunch spot! It's just off 65/31, so conveniently located in Jeffersonville very close to the riverfront and Falls of the Ohio park. When you walk in, you'll see the counter where you order/pay. Take a seat with your number; your food is delivered when ready. There's plenty of seating here with the adjacent suite (called the Copper Room) offering another full room of booths and tables. The decor is modern with the orange painted chairs, but historic and fun with the exposed brick. I love that they also display local art for sale on the walls! I waited a very short time this visit for my salmon nicoise salad. It was well-plated in an orange bowl (do you get the theme?) and the salmon, potatoes and egg was cooked perfectly. The vinaigrette dressing was the perfect complement to this delicious and hearty salad. The first time I was here, I had an egg dish for breakfast which was equally delicious, as well as the coffee. Upon initially reaching out during a busy season in the restaurant industry, Rachel got back to me quickly and was eager to help make our event a success. We decided on an extensive, Southern-style buffet selection that met a host of dietary needs. During our event, OCK's set-up was quick, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly -- the foundations of what you hope a caterer will provide to elevate your event. Our attendees loved the meal and, per OCK's recommendation, all leftover food was donated to Catalyst Rescue Mission. Rachel and her team are always doing the best to dish out the best soups and sandwiches on the side of the river. Lately they've had to downsize their menu due to various constraints. But that is understandable and I hope they come back in full swing. I missed their hash browns with the red pepper aioli dip. We had a Christmas party and when other companies we got quotes from for the catering felt skimpy and high priced, Rachel assured us there would be plenty of food and that definitely was the case. A lot of leftovers to give away to the party goers as they left for the night. Oh, even the desserts were so good. The cake pops were a hit! Great food, service, and value. I ordered a 1/2 Cuban sandwich and 1/2 loaded potato soup. The Cuban was one of the best I've had, the meat was rich and flavorful, the mustard complimented the flavor well, and the pretzel bun was a unique and delicious twist I had never tried before. The potato soup was thick and filling, almost too thick to be called soup. It was filled with shredded cheese, bacon, green onion, and chunks of potato. The dish even included salted chips - not lays but actual quality chips. I was very impressed with the entire dish and it was so filling, I couldn't finish it. I showed up 10 minutes before closing due to inaccurate hours published on Yelp, but the staff was still incredibly friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have me there. I waited about 7-10 minutes for the food. The portions, flavor, service, and value aren't even comparable to your typical Panera type places. I will certainly be returning. Friday night looking to make a dinner reservation Saw Orange Clover was open so I booked for 6:00 p.m. Upon arrival I was surprised to hear they were doing a seven course meal in celebration of Valentines Day. Wow..underdressed and hungry I was eager to try the fabulous food listed on the menu. The restaurant ambiance was very pleasing as was the greet at the door and table I will say this surprise dinner was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I took lots of pics describing each dish, enjoy. The food was as good as it appears. I was given their daily menu as I was leaving. It appears they are a lunch and breakfast eatery! The salads sound great as do the soups. I feel privileged to have been a guest for a special evening service. I like the layout too! My friend and I meet at this location for lunch frequently. If you are looking for a "quick" place - look elsewhere. The past three visits (about a month apart), they lost my order twice. The first time I stopped a food runner to inquire & she brushed it off & said that it would be coming out soon. Finally she approached & asked what I ordered. Seems the kitchen had caught up & no more orders remained. The next visit - the same issue! I had to laugh... Today, we waited a good 30 minutes for our lunch. Finally they brought my salad and soup (which was cold, by the way) but my friend's salad and sandwich didn't arrive for another 10 minutes, even though he placed his order immediately after me. I dropped in here Monday for lunch since I was off for President's Day and they're not opened when I'm usually off. I tried the mushroom bisque and the spinach dip. Both came with the warm pretzel bread. I want to go back when they have the hot brown special going on. I had a taste of that at a Yelp event and it was delicious. Orange Clover went over, beyond and way over anything I could have ever asked for in a caterer. Rachel and Jordan are absolutely super awesome. I CANNOT say enough about how great they are. They were our caterer for our recent NAHS Class of '72 50th Reunion. The queso on Friday Night was a HIT and was so yummy, they need it on their every day menu. :) Then the buffet on Saturday Night, oh my goodness - the staff was a pleasure to work with ALL night. So polite, courteous and kept checking on me personally to see if I was ok and needed anything. The food - oh my goodness - I cannot begin to even talk about how great the food was. I wish I could have eaten more. LOL ALL that attended Saturday Night ALSO had no complaints about the food. I will also give them HUGE KUDDOS for all they did for me and my Class Reunion. Let me say before I begin, that we were both feeling a bit shagged and fagged and fashed, it being already a day of no small expenditure. I'm sure that the workers had to look at us in wonder and such as we stumbled in at an odd hour looking for sustenance. The people at the counter were very patient and nice with us, answering our questions and taking our order; when what we ordered was ready, someone came out to serve us where we had settled in. We were also checked on a couple of times to assure that what we ordered was alright and to ask if we needed anything else. What we ordered was tasty, and nicely prepared. In the Louisville area and found this little gem on Yelp. We were party of six and arrived around 11:30 on a Monday. The menu is mainly soup, sandwiches and salads. They did have some baked goods for dessert but we didn't try them but they looked yummy. I ordered the daily special of pulled pork (no bbq as you would expect with pork) instead it had a pineapple jalapeño chutney and I chose the cheddar Mac as my side. Again sounds like Mac and cheese but it was actually a yummy macaroni salad with cheddar cheese. Both my sandwich and the salad did not disappoint and was only $9.99. My husband opted for the Cuban sandwich with fries. He really enjoyed. Some of our party ordered the cup of soup and half sandwich. The soups were tomato basil, loaded potato, chili, broccoli cheddar and some type of cabbage soup. I wanted this so badly too but i simply couldn't choose only one soup and went with the special. My cousin got the tomato basil which had croutons on top and served with a bread for dipping. Her 1/2 sandwich was chicken salad on a croissant which she said was really good. If you've never been, you are missing out. They have amazingly fresh and delicious food at a great price and service is consistently good. I had the Salmon Nicoise salad on my first visit and got the largest piece of Salman in a bed of greens, eggs, potatoes and tomatoes. The light and tangy dressing really completed the dish. A steal at only $9 for a half salad (which was humongous). If the potato soup is in the menu, get it without hesitation. It was hearty, garlicky and all around delicious. Ordered two salads - LT & Ceasar (both w/chicken) - and a chicken panini. My bill was $36+. I was simply picking up my order. I tipped the employee and asked if the salad came with bread. He replied that the soups come with bread ... but not the salads. Heaven forbod a $12 salad include a piece of bread! I asked if I could have a piece of bread. He told me he could give me 4 pieces for $3.00. I agreed. I wish I had a photo of the slivers I was given. The slices were taken from a pretzel stick ... not a baguette ora loaf of bread. The slices/pieces were so small that I could cover each with a credit card. They were sliced roughly 1.5 inches thick. The fourth slice was much smaller. It was the butt end of the pretzel stick. Rather than add that as extra ... it was the fourth piece. Combined, these for pieces were less than 6 inches long. I can buy a loaf of bread at JimmyJohns (Freshly baked!) for $1.25. At Orange Clover, for $3.00, I get a portion of a pretzel stick. I drove toward my office, .4 miles away, and decided I wasn't going to be taken for granted anymore. Our office orders roughly 8-10 meals/week from O.C. I decided to turn around and request a refund OR more bread. My intention was to handle things quietly. The employee noticed me and when I quietly informed him that I wanted a refund or more bread he replied, openly, "I told you it was $3.00." I told him it wasn't enough bread and that I knew the price but had yet to see the miniscule amount. He walked toward me with the $ and as he handed it to me I - at this point - quietly recommende he not discuss my issue in front of the other customers. As I turned to walk away, he addressed me again, and that was when I openly addressed the situation and informed him that my business, as an owner, would not longer do business with Orange Clover. Businesses like Orange Clover initially offer great food at a fair price. Over time, prices rise, accoutements are removed and the restaurant begins to inflate it's perception of itself, take it's clientele for granted, and treat customers as if they are doing us a favor. I/we will no longer patronize Orange Clover as a company expenditure. Our employees are free to to patronize ... but most don't frequently spend $12-$13 dollars for a salad. Also, I am happy to pay $3.29 for chicken breast on my slad ... but not for 1/2 a chicken breast or 1/3 a chicken breast. read more

I bit into my OC Biscuit this morning and discovered that my egg was cold. Refrigerator cold. I mentioned it to a staff member who apologetically told me that they pre cook their eggs and reheat them. He took my entire sandwich, microwaved it, and returned it to me. This made the biscuit fall apart and the turkey bacon toughen to the consistency of shoe leather. At least the egg was warm. The pre-cooking of eggs seems so unnecessary because the restaurant wasn't crowded and eggs cook quickly. The Waffle House even cooks eggs to order. It also makes me wonder how many other items are served a la microwave. When this restaurant opened the owner was always in the kitchen preparing everything fresh. Today she wasn't even in her restaurant. It reflected in the quality of the food leaving the kitchen. This isn't the OC that I once praised on Yelp. I'm terribly disappointed. read more
