I went to jersey mikes on Aug. 8th at approximately 8:30pm for a sandwich and they have this really rude smug manager with bleached hair who's always got this low key atrocious attitude. His entire presence and attitude is awkward.....he obviously doesn't wanna deal with customers and or people in general. I walked in at approximately 8:30pm Aug 8th and with his smug attitude asked me what I wanted. I told him ...and he starts making the sandwich without even making eye contact with me which is fine. The store wasn't busy so I went to the register to pay for the sandwich before it was done being made ‍ in doing so the rude manager told me he's not taking cash and the register was broken and it started acting up earlier in the day ...and now it will only take cards. I only had cash on me ...so he said 'sorry man' and put the bread back and shoo's me out the door like a fly. The next day I went back ....luckily that same manager wasn't on shift with the attitude issues and the experience was much more pleasant. One of the workers who was there the night before told me the manager actually lied to me ....and the register wasn't broken. He stated that he simply just counted the register before closing time so he can leave right at 9pm. Makes sense why he rolls his eyes anytime I walk in after 8:30pm and the transaction always has this awkward presence and feel to it. Now the restaurant sign says it closes at 9pm. It doesn't say we shut down whenever the manager on shift feels like going home early. And every other worker at this location that I've interacted with has a better attitude and demeanor and is much more professional then this manager with the bleached hair ever was. I'm trying to figure out how certain people with all these clearly negative characteristics get into the positions they are in when there is plenty of other people working at that same location who are MUCH MUCH more professional and better at their jobs and also people friendly and actually love working there. Because that shift manager definitely doesn't!!! It's not only the fact he did what he did and knew he was wrong (which is why he lied to my face) it's the complete arrogance and narcissistic way he dealt with the situation he put himself into. read more

Could I give them 100 stars! I took my 85 yr old mom in to the Ladera location to get a sub sandwhich. My Dad passed away and would be the one to order her sandwhich from a list, which I had a screenshot of on my phone after he passed. I mentioned it as I was struggling a bit reading the list of what she wanted on her sub because it was my first time ordering it. He saw this and with a big smile delivered the best sandwhich and best customer service. The gesture of giving my mom a sub was huge- she's had it rough lately and this brought tears to our eyes. I typically eat at Jersey Mikes because of their high quality veggies and fresh bread but now I'll go out of my way to go there because of the care and great customer service they gave us! They showed kindness not only to myself but to some young man who had been coming in for the last month, saying that it was their birthday. The person said "one moment", walked away, and we wanted 20 more minutes for someone else to show up, but nobody did.
