I said, "I'll try the French fries". Not ONE TIME he said to me that none of the items he mentioned to me were extra charge, I even told him, "oh they come with all that you just told me"? He said yes. When I paid the total came to $24 dollars, the sandwich itself was $13.65 and a coke that I ordered was $3, how did it get to $24? Well, the French fries were extra cost. Had I chosen a bag of chips, the once he pointed at were also extra charge just like if I ordered pasta salad, I found out about the extra charge from the lady that brought me the sandwich and I asked why my bill was $24 dollars, SHE, not the owner told me about the extra charges. After I said to her, "why didn't or doesn't the owner tell you so instead of saying that these extras come with the sandwich" she looked at me and said "I don't know". She didn't even know however any of the prices of the sandwich they sell. These are the new employees now. I know you are going to think why I didn't ask right away why my bill was $24 dollars. I didn't even think about it immediately, I was hungry at this point, the place was quite busy and I wanted to find a place to sit, no excuse, but didn't think about it right away. Not until I set down and then started thinking about why my bill was higher. That was my fault. I should have immediately asked and actually I should have gone to the owner afterwards and mentioned to him that he should tell the customers correctly, meaning do NOT SAY "IT COMES WITH" that means IS NOT EXTRA CHARGE. He needs to say that wherever we want with it, there is an extra, then up to the customer if he/she wants it or not. The sandwich did not taste like the way it used to taste, meatballs still small but they were very salty, and the fries although I will say cooked pretty nice, crispy and all, a very small portion and also very salty. Overall and sadly for me because I truly liked this place a lot with the previous owner, it's not a place I would go back to. The prices are as high and now higher than any other place nowadays, nothing spectacular, their bakery department is now very limited, used to be huge and very nice selections, they used to have a pastry chef in the back that made the best deserts, and I don't know if they also changed cook, but nothing tastes the same. The place is always very busy, so I am sure I won't be missed, I won't waste my money here again. The new owners should by now know what they sell, know how to interact with customers better, know the job they took over. The owners before were absolutely wonderful and great to talk to, they would interact with you ask you if everything was ok, great service from the staff. I miss them and the new owners really need to step up, it's time. The place also very dirty on floors, tables, trash cans totally disgusting and filthy.

I went in not even wanting a sandwich. The place was chosen by my pals I was with. I walked in and all the employees, (Faith, Dylan, Logan and Dane) all greeted me. Then faith, asked what would you like today and my order was a complex one and she met all my needs instantly by accepting my request which I was super pleased then. Logan then new right away and offered me buffalo when I had to no clue of the sauce and that just made my day. Dane was one of the greatest cashiers I've ever encountered and Dylan was just super consistent with asking me if I wanted anything else!!! By far the greatest experience, I've had with any restaurant. Truly felt blessed walking into Jersey Mike's. I know now I'm no longer a subway girl, only a jersey mikes girl now ;) I hope all these employees get recognition. I felt at home here. I will be coming again and refer many friends!! read more

I know this has nothing to do with eating at this Jersey Mikes but last night they were closed , I went to the lab across the street just for a drink and my car got towed. What the owner has nothing better to do than tow people from the parking lot!!! I have lived in Oceanside close to beach for 10 years and never had my car towed!!! I will never eat there and tell everyone I know not to too!!! It's a big scam going on between tow company and the owner!! You should be ashamed of yourself!! If you can't make money selling sandwiches I guess you have to prey on people to tow their cars!!! This Jersey Mikes Sucks!!!!! Don't go there!!!!! The cleanliness of the location was also unacceptable. The tables were dirty, and no one came by to wipe them down. The trash cans were overflowing, and when my daughter needed to use the restroom, there was paper all over the floor. To make matters worse, the ice machine was not working, and customers were expected to get ice from a large bucket instead. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. I hope management addresses the customer service, cleanliness, and maintenance issues because customers deserve a much better experience, especially because the problem isn't the food, it's the customer service and cleanliness.

my friend & i had a really disappointing, confusing & upsetting experience with the staff member…read morenamed destiny at this location tonight. we came around 9pm, & he first asked if they were making more honey sesame chicken & super greens. this immediately gave her a sour facial expression & she snarkily said "yeah, but you would have to wait". i then asked if they were also planning on making more buldak chicken too. she had the same facial expression of disgust and repeated herself VERBATIM, the sense of being inconvenienced as if she was cooking the dishes herself. i initially dismissed this, figuring she probably had a long day. for context, i tried the buldak chicken for the first time about a week prior at this same location. this dish obviously has bell peppers & at the time, i asked the super polite lady (i caught her name but can't remember) if there is any way at all that she could do me a favor not to get as many bell peppers in my order if i were to opt for the buldak chicken; if not, i didn't mind ordering something else. that lady was enthusiastic & willing to go the extra mile to just gently scoop around the bell peppers for me. fast forward to today, i proceeded to ask destiny for the same favor & prefaced my question with "i KNOW this may be odd to ask, but could you please try to avoid including bell peppers". her face continued to sour, transitioned to an offended facial expression as if i've just personally insulted her bloodline. "i mean, there's nothing i can really do. i don't know what you want me to do. there's only so much i can do. there are bell peppers... in" she retorted curtly. obviously the dish has bell peppers & it's an odd request & i still work in customer service too with previous experience in the food industry, so the last thing i want to do is inconvenience anyone. but since my experience with the other lady a week prior was SO positive & refreshing, i wanted to nicely ask destiny for the same thing. destiny was unwilling to accommodate & she made it very clear through her passive aggression, then tried to mask with aggressive contrived over-politeness. my friend urged me to talk to the supervisor, but i chalked it up to her having a bad day & tried to give her grace. the reason why i'm even writing this is what came after. i watched her scoop the buldak chicken dish into my order specifically (my friend got the same thing as me along with his honey sesame chicken) & not only did she not "try to avoid" bell peppers, she actively shorted me on my portion, only giving me three pieces of chicken with a bunch of bell peppers at the bottom (pictured below). even the chow mein & rice were smaller. i didn't get to take a photo of my friend's order, but his was at least 3x the amount i had received, to the point where he even shared pieces of his buldak chicken with me. it's one thing to be unwilling to accommodate someone's request despite the restaurant being slow, but it's completely out of line to deliberately short the portion of food that someone is paying for with their own money just because you didn't like how they tried asking you for a simple favor. even when bagging, my friend asked for a pair of chopsticks & a fork for me, & when she asked him for sauces, he mentioned teriyaki for me. no fork was included, no sauce was included, & to add to the pettiness of the entire confusing situation, the fortune cookies she had included were both CRUSHED. and obviously deliberately. i wish i was making this up. she then forced a smile before handing the bag, exerted the same aggressive contrived over-politeness, & looked me dead in the eyes and said "i tried to avoid the bell peppers" while fully knowing she did nothing of the sort besides scoop a smaller portion of the entree into my order because she didn't think i was watching her scoop the orders into our plates. again, i can relate and empathize when someone has had a bad workday & everything just feels so aggravating, but the energy & retaliation was misdirected towards me when i was trying to be as polite & gentle as possible since i did not want to ruffle any feathers. i am not a punching bag & i definitely shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of her lack of emotional regulation at the expense of the portions of my fully paid meal. it was just really confusing, sad, disappointing, & at this rate, it's not the monetary value & more about the principle of the matter. & i wish the lady who helped me here and was super nice to us a week prior was there instead. even my friend was shocked at her behavior & how everything was handled, so he had filled out a survey with the same experience since we were on one check. i wish destiny well & i hope she has better days working here, but i don't ever want her to touch my food order when i come here next. the world sucks right now & i get that, but kindness doesn't take that much out of you to give to others who mean no harm.

My husband ordered the tuna sandwich & i opted for the Jersey Shore Favorite made the Mike's Way both were mini sized. They were very tasty and bread was fresh & spongy. Great prep before going grocery shopping!
