This is my first ever yelp review. i wanted to take the time to acknowledge and give accolades to a particular store and more importantly to an employee by the name of Randy. I made an online order that had some complications, so I rang the store to discuss it. Even though when I called it was 10 minutes to the store closing the employee Randy who answered the phone took the time to not only listen to my issue, he went the extra mile to do everything in his power to correct the issue. His professionalism and wonderful customer service is the key reason I will continue to do business at the Jersey Mike's on Baseline Road instead of the store that is happens to be way closer to me. I have being coming to this location periodically the past couple of years. It was okay before. The past couple of months or so, it has gotten a lot better. In the past, you could tell they were just there because it was a job. Now, the staff is a lot friendlier and a lot more courteous. Some may even have a sort of "sunshinyness" that is refreshing. The new store Manager, Crystal, always makes you feel welcome and she'll greet you with an infectious smile that could have a very positive impact on you for years to come. Keep up the good work! This will be my 2nd review of this place. Definitely the MOST incompetent people that work at this place! I ordered a reg #56 Big Kahuna. Asked for no peppers, jalapeños on the side, add lettuce and mayo. How difficult is this to make? The person took my order twice (written it down) and received my sandwich with the peppers again...twice!! Third time got the lettuce and mayo and this time they forgot the cheese!! Avoid the Jersey Mike's on 24th st and Baseline!!!!! Not only is there a 50/50 chance they will get your order correct, the staff is RUDE!!!!! I do not understand how you can offer a pick up option and have a problem when someone wants you to acknowledge they are there for their pick up order (missing an item of course this location stays on brand for that) I enter the lobby and state I am here for a pick up 3 staff members or there and not one acknowledged I said anything or said greeting or anything, they all just continued what I was doing. SO I asked again for my pick up order, the guys says give me a minute (I believe he is the manager) as he is making a sandwich and that is ok, but he had a major attitude like I was inconveniencing him by speaking,. When in reality if he would have acknowledged me the 1st time I would have patiently waited for my order. After that a staff members grabs my order and places it down not even looking at me the entire time and when I said thank you she just walked away.... I have put up a lot with this location I get it a missing ingredient here, old bread there, and flat fountain drinks now and then on my pick up order I have dealt with. However, I am going to take my business elsewhere since they treat their customers like crap!!!! Well done. The young lady working the counter was outstanding. I dont Remember her name, but she had awards on the wall! My granddaughter had never been there before and she was very patient and helpful to answer all of her questions. She knew her job well, and performed with ease. This operation is our favorite sub shop back home because they use more fresh sliced meats we were not disappointed here in Phoenix. Our three subs were made quickly and exactly as we requested. I would give 0 stars if possible. The past 3 times we've been to this location they've messed up. They pour about a half cup of the red wine vinegar AND olive oil leaving you with a soggy falling apart sub. If you happen to have an allergy to tomatoes and request it to have none when you order online....good luck because they completely disregard it and throw them on anyways regardless of how much you try and emphasize this on your order. The service is sub or at it's absolute best and I can hardly eat my food by the time I get home due to the ridiculous amount of vinegar and olive oil drenched on the sub. This location of Jersey Mike's was exceptional, the worker who attended me was courteous, quick, and precise. He took my order with zero hassles and had me out of the restaurant in about 10minutes or 12. I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich and had no problem substituting the steak for chicken which was delightful! My sandwich was delivered extra toasty like how I asked for it and every ounce of it was delicious. I will return to this spot again and order the same thing as it is fair priced and tastes great! Came just now right after opening, and it was like the experience I was expecting from the first time we were here. The guys were friendly and took the time to make sure they were making the right sandwiches. The kid at the register even did what he was supposed to be by trying to up sell cookies, and holding a conversation while the other one was cooking. He was new so when he didn't know what to do, he did well at asking the other guy and MOD for the right way. This visit is how it should always be! I know the sandwiches are going to be good and the restaurant was nice and clean. Last time I came the guy was great. We eat at this location frequently and always receive excellent food and service. Their meat/cheese is sliced fresh, and they give generous portions. In addition, the restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. They can get busy during peak lunch and dinner times; however, the service is fast. We appreciate Jose who greets us with a friendly smile and upbeat attitude, and he remembers our names and orders - great service. We decided to check out Jersey Mikes tonight instead of, you know, one of the other sub shops. We were so impressed. First of all, Eddie gave us way above normal, actually exceptional, customer service. He brightened our day, and I'm sure we will go back just to see him. And the sub was so good too. Fresh and refrigerated ingredients, and Eddie made sure every condiment was symmetrically spread throughout. I dont do too many reviews, but had to give both Eddie and Jersey Mikes 5 stars. I am a new frequent visitor of Jersey Mike's, specifically this location. First off, the subs are phenomenal seriously some of the best I have ever had. Second, the customer service there is top of the line. The first time that I visited the store I was with my girlfriend and my son and there was one other person ordering when we got in line. This other customer was very, very difficult and extremely rude. The two gentlemen who were working were Chris and Eddie and they handled the customer with class and professionalism. They maintained their cool and helped the customer to the best of their ability and got him on his way. Afterwards they were very apologetic and made us feel like we were truly welcome and made what could have been a terrible first visit into a great one and definitely got us to come back. On my second visit I was by myself and again, it was Chris and Eddie who were working. They immediately remembered me and greeted me with excitement and charisma. The subs here are awesome! I usually get the Philly cheese steak, which is spectacular, but the turkey, club sub, and Italian are good too. The only downside to this place is that it is expensive. One giant sub (without chips or a drink!) will cost you $13 to $14. It's worth it though. read more

Walking in, restaurant was clean to the eye, greeted as we walked in, sub station was nice and tidy, chips we're filled and organized neatly. While I was in line DaKim and Thomas cleaned up after each sub that was being made. Their team work game was strong last night. The other thing too is that when I think of Jersey I think of a friend who got in trouble bootlegging cigarettes. LOL Now to the food I just had a number 13 without tomatoes. It was really good. I like the vinegar and oil they apply to the sandwich. I did get the two cookies as a side. One was peanut butter which was a real treat since people afraid of peanuts. (I remember I was on a flight coming back from St Thomas and a passenger who was allergic to peanuts told the flight crew. Then I did not get my free peanuts.) I will get back on track. I really want to like this place as it's close by and fresh however for some reason the food just doesn't do it for me? I have tried a few different sandwich types and there is just something missing taste wise. I like the fact that they slice the meats and cheese to order, however the toppings are pretty basic. And the kicker is they are pretty pricy in comparison to other sub shops( two medium sandwiches chips and drinks were $20).
