Sometimes I hate giving a Yelp review, as I hate to recommend something at place, then it's changed, the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak is 1/6 of the meat now, this is after having it 21 times with solid consistency, I don't recommend it, I had more cheese than meat, and this is the 2nd time, since I posted my review, so I will not be ordering them from here going forward, which was about 80% of my visits! I placed a mobile order that consisted of two subs in a bowl, one with no tomato and add bacon, the other one with no onion. I received my order and the bacon was in the one that had tomato, but also both bowls had onion. Great. Also, I ordered two bags of chips and only received one. In the past few months, I've had sandwiches from here several times. I have ordered pick-up from their website, used third party delivery, and gone in and ordered in person. I have never been disappointed with the quality of food or the service. There are many sandwich options close to me, but I prefer Jersey Mike's. I particularly like their bread and the sandwiches made Mike's way. Today I dropped by around 11:15 and ordered in person. There was a bit of a line but I was quickly asked what I wanted (so quick I wasn't sure he was talking to me because someone else had just walked in ahead of me and was ordering.) I was impressed with how well staffed they were and how friendly and helpful all the employees were. They must be doing something right to get such great employees. Rather than go to my usual wheelhouse (cough...Capriotti's), I took the advice of my coworkers around the country and gave this place a shot. Bread - soft and chewy and fresh! For a $17.50 cheesesteak - The Big Kahuna was a foot long vs about $15 with extra meat at my hometown goto at 20" so two sandwiches for the price! Will I try again? I love sandwiches. I dream about sandwiches. And now, Jersey Mikes has my heart. I ordered a mini #13 with Mayo and yellow mustard on Rosemary Parmesan Bread and was BLOWN AWAY. My sandwich had so much meat, the perfect amount of condiments and the bread. Good lord, this bread kicks Italian herb and cheese bread to the curb! I called ahead and ordered 2 med. #13's. They said they'd be ready in 5-7 minutes and they were. The bread was fresh and the meats and cheese are not paper thin like some other sandwich shops! They aren't cheap, however. Those two sandwiches cost me $20. Thus 4 out of 5 stars. read more

I am so embarrassed. I had friends in from San Jose, one of whom is from Bergen County NJ. I suggested Jersey Mikes hoping it had gotten better than the last time. Nope. It's worse. The wrap was on the wrong bread and my sub was swimming in vinegar even though I'd ordered it light on the vinegar and oil. Seemed like the subs had less meat too. Yeah, I'm from Jersey. Exit 4. But Jersey Mike's arrived after I escaped the Garden State, so ironically, the only time I've had a Jersey Mike sandwich before now was somewhere in Florida many years ago. Stopped here to see what all the fuss was about. With other reviewers raving about the cheesesteak, I thought I'd order that to have for lunch and grab a Jersey Shore hoagie for later. About the cheesesteak: I asked for no onion, no peppers, just mushrooms. About $8 for its smallest size. Pretty tasty - meat was quite lean, so not as juicy as I'd like, and there seemed to be more bread than I'd prefer. Overall, it was good, but Capriotti's still has it beat for flavor and juiciness and by far, amount of meat in my opinion. The bread (because you know, it's all about how close to an Amoroso roll you can get) was right on target. About the Jersey Shore: Not bad. As close to what I grew up on and knew as an Italian hoagie. Lots of lettuce (which I really like). The downside was that there was just way too much of the nice, tart vinaigrette dressing, which soaked the bread. Best to eat this fairly immediately or ask for a light amount of dressing. A mini sandwich came in under $6. Total, with a drink and some chips and 2 sandwiches: About $18. The process to get a sandwich was a bit clunky. The same person who took my order then used a deli slicer to cut the meat to order - during a busy and hectic lunch hour, this slowed down the process quite a bit. The bread and meat is then handed to the next person, who dresses the sandwich to order. Then finally, you get to the third person, who has to stand and wait and doesn't ring you up until your sandwich is made. Would definitely come back and try some of their other sandwiches. read more

Seeing all the 5-star reviews made me want to try Jersey Mike's but after having their #6 - Roast Beef and Provolone, meh. It wasn't bad or anything and the service was fast and pleasant, it was just a fair sandwich. The bread wasn't particularly good, just fair. The roast beef was okay, the provolone was okay, the topping, the same. To be honest, this is just another fast food, sandwich shop that does nothing to differentiate itself from Subway or Jimmy John's. My common last statement in most of my reviews has to do with my wanting to go back and I can honestly say, no, I don't see any reason to return. Kind of bland and unexciting. read more

What is the point of doing online orders and getting a pickup time if it will not be honored. Our three #2s was placed about 12:00 with a pickup time at 12:21. I arrived a bit early and saw that they were very busy. I let them know I was waiting, but more and more people came in, ordered and got their sandwiches ahead of me. Three minutes past my pickup time I was asked the name again, and was informed that they were making them now. I was offered a drink, seriously? A drink doesn't make up for lost time on a day where I do not have much.
