I would like to give commendations to Aaron. Despite his developmental disability, he was the only one of the 4 workers who spoke to me with respect and courtesy. The other workers hid in the back room while he helped clear the line then got to my order. He was very worried that I was going to give "him" a bad review for being slow, but he was working so quickly and efficiently. I assured him that I was not giving him a bad review and appreciated his work. He even took the extra time and work to make the GF sandwich, avoiding contamination. He is a great asset to your store. We went here tonight and it was the worst experience by far. We came here tonight with a coupon that we got from Jerseys Mikes Facebook page that was valid for only south Reno residents (coupon attached for reference) and thought. O wow, we just saw this even though it was a promotion that was occurring from the 1st to the 15th of this month of BOGO. So we thought, Let's go get a sandwich since we did like coming here already. Before we order The girl working the sandwich station puts on gloves and then proceeds to take her earbuds out of her ears and grabs the earbuds case from her pocket and wipes her forehead. Really!!!!! You just put gloves on! Definitely not sanitary. At this point my wife calls her out for doing that and she apologizes. She recognized her mistake..No big deal. We then ordered a number 8 which comes with bacon and we see the girl casually beginning to close the sandwich as we weren't standing there and my wife politely asks if they are out of bacon and the male cashier responds with "yes, but we can make some if you want" so we waited for 10 minutes for them to cook some..again no big deal. But then when it comes to paying we present the coupon and the male cashier then says they can't take the coupon because it's not the original from their website and can't accept screenshots of it. This was from his manager he had to call for approval. How is this possible? We have to take a screenshot to present the coupon! How am I logically suppose to bring the coupon to them? It made 0 sense! They were willing to waste product instead of just honoring the coupon and getting tipped what the second sandwich would of cost. This will hopefully be a learning experience. I have 35 years of restaurant operations under my belt as owner to GM. My mother in law ordered a catering on Saturday the 16th to be picked up by myself on Sunday the 17th. She told me she paid but sometimes there is confusion. I went to pick them up and the guy assisting me said they were not paid so I ran it on my card and tipped. Later at the party my Mother in law pulled out the receipt she paid. No big deal stop by on the way home and fix this. Arrive at the store at 4:30 to explain what happened but no manager . The guy called the manager talked for 10 minutes and comes back to say manager is to busy to deal with this now. I leave my contact info and expect a call first thing Monday morning, heck this is $100.00. Well at 4pm my wife calls to ask how it went with Jerseys..... well honey they never called. My wife called and spoke to Kyle the manager and he said I would have to go back there across town while he was at work .... yes I don't have a life I can do that. Went back today and he was at lunch.... well he came back while I was there luckily. He refunded me part of the amount since they expected to be tipped twice, nope fix that was well. Lots of work for myself for this little birthday party. Okay.... first caterings should be stated as paid so we don't go through this. When you make an error or should not be my inconvenience to fix this error. When my places made a mistake we took every measure to not inconvenience the person we wronged, situation does not need to be compounded. The guest should not waste gas and their personal time which is valuable these days. I can give a few more points but feel this is long enough. Complete fail!!!! The irony..... you as the buisness manager who read my review asking me to do more steps and forward this review to your email. I should not be doing all the work. I have been coming here for the last 2 years. The service has consistently gotten better and better over time. The employees are friendly and are great about handling my gluten allergy. I never have to worry about any cross contamination because they are so good about switching gloves and cleaning the food area. Another thing they improved on is the speed of getting people through the line faster. read more

We came here for a light fresh dinner with the kids one Friday evening. It wasn't busy. But it's located in a new shopping center and it's new so I guess that's probably why. The guy behind the counter just wasn't paying attention to what I wanted for toppings, or something. Because he had to ask me about 5 times what I wanted. Then he drenched my sandwich with so much oil and vinegar, I could barely eat it. It was soggy and dripping all over my hands and wrists. This location used to be great. Management I don't know what poor choices you are making in hiring, but please have higher standards. My DoorDash order right now for a number 43 included some b.s. crap dried out dark brown bread not the rosemary parm I ordered and on top of it your staff put no mayo and if they did it was minimal at best and absorbed by the super dried bread but honestly this is the driest sandwich I've had from any of your chain stores in the past 4 years. I would have definitely made a fuss if I had gone in and hadn't been exhausted from working a 50 hour week. There is a problem when your staff couldn't manage a half ass decent sandwich and thats all you serve. I see your reviews and quality going downhill for this location. You should fix this quick. Being a Jersey girl myself and working in a deli for many years, it's always nice to find a sandwich shop that can make a Hoagie the way they should be made! Everything was fresh, lettuce crisp, tomatoes just sliced and bread soft.....the young man that made my hoagie was very friendly and the place was clean. I usually go to this Jersey Mike's personally and have never had any problems. But because of all of the madness recently I order in. I have eaten here many times so I know how big the regular sub is. I ordered 2 subs, 1 regular and 1 mini. Can you tell which is which? Besides the price of course. If you are going to shrink your sandwiches you should shrink your prices as well. I typically can not eat a full regular sandwich. This one was no problem at all. Also this was supposed to be a hot sandwich. When I opened it the cheese wasn't even melted. Can you imagine the cheese not being melted on a Philly Cheesesteak? I had to heat it up and melt the cheese. I pay for it to come cooked. Also I asked for a side of oil and vinegar for the other sandwich I haven't Even looked at yet. I haven't ordered a sandwich in a long time, because I have been so disappointed with how skimpy they are on toppings at many shops. This place is awesome! I ordered an Italian and it was loaded with meat and not skimpy at all. I loved the red pepper relish, that gives it just a slight amount of spice. I've seen them on Chicago hot dogs, but never on a cold sandwich. I can say that is is my favorite new topping! Very unique for this part of the country. The last time I had red pepper relish on a sandwich was in Pittsburgh on a Cheesesteak . I ordered my husband the Philly Cheesesteak and he was super happy with the quality of the bun and no gristle on the meat. I'm so happy to report that Jersey Mike's now offers gluten-free bread! I had visited this location when they first opened, under the assumption that all of the franchises had adopted the GF options I was accustomed to in SoCal and was thoroughly bummed when told that the salad version was my only GF alternative. Upon returning to redeem a free birthday meal (okayyyy.... I'll eat a free salad...) was excited to find that the GF bread had been added to the menu AND the sandwich team did a full wipe down of the meat slicer and counter to decrease contamination. WIN!! Although I'd prefer to support local mom & pop places over chain restaurants, I want to share that the Jersey Mike's model includes doing charitable work and making donations in their community and I'm happy to continue my gluten-free patronage here! read more

Short review this place is ok. Longer review: This location recently opened. This was my first ever visit to Jersey Mikes. I went in around lunch time and there were about 8 people ahead of me. I ordered a Philly cheese steak. I know this location is new, but the restaurant was in disarray. All of the tables were dirty. The staff seemed overwhelmed. One of the women working there was so frazzled and had such a rushed attitude, she made me feel frazzled. She also reportedly cursed out of frustration. It took over 20 minutes to get my sandwich because it was a warm sandwich. I was pretty surprised it took so long. Those who got a cold sub seemed to get in and out. The line for those waiting for orders that were either ordered online or by phone was ridiculous. I'm sure most of those people ordered ahead of time to save time, but most of them were waiting as long as me. Now, as for the food itself...eh, definitely nor worth the wait. It was a very basic cheesesteak. Flavorless bread and flavorless meat. There was nothing to distinguish it from any other cheapo cheesesteak a I've had. When all is said and done there is a possibility I would go back (after it's less busy) just because I work so close, but this would never be a place I would crave. read more

We have long been a huge fan of Jersey Mike's. Love their sandwiches and concept. Yet all good things must come to an end, they say. Whereas I only visit this specific store in South Reno, I can say I'm very disappointed that they have reduced the portion sizes of their Regular sized sandwich. I understand businesses sometimes need to adjust their profit margins, but as a consumer that loves their product, I would have been more inclined to pay a little bit more for the sandwich I love, rather than them taking away theportion that I have come to expect. The value is no longer there, so we will no longer return to Jersey Mike's. Well the corporate customer service center replied to my review and said they have not changed their portion sizes, so than; the local store management has made this change on their own, as is evident by other reviews from customers saying the same thing. read more
