    Reuben Sandwich
    Will S.

After winning a bet I was in the mood for a Reuben. By far the worst sandwich (I wouldn't dare call this a Reuben) I have ever had in my life. This also took 30min to make. It looked and tasted like a sack lunch that's given to you in a prison but cost $22. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!

    Nice deli style eats

Limited menu but decent portions. Mostly sandwiches and pizza. Great for a quick bite before or after playing. Right next to the Sports Bar so you still watch some games.

I needed a quick late-night bite, and this was where I landed. The menu is full of options, and prices are typical for the casino-hotel atmosphere. I choose the #17, JACK OF ALL CHEESE panini (Muenster, Pepper Jack, Cheddar, Jack, Swiss, and Provolone)--$ 15.50. The sandwich was tasty, with enough cheese, but was grilled too long - for my taste. The edges were crunchy. The menu lists the "pickle" as "Served with Kosher Dill Pickle." If truth were told, it should read "pickle SLICE." Not a pickle, pickle half, or even a pickle spear. Just a slice. Ugh. I love pickles, so yeah . . . But as mentioned, it is expected food for a late-night casino-hotel snack.

Service was quick, great and friendly. Food delish specially the Italian Dagwood. Now the New Yorker the bread was not that good sorry and meat meh. The side of German potatoes (which I make a home) were pretty good. Ambiance good is inside the casino so is ok

I love the Peppermill! Located right inside, by the sports book, the appropriately named Sports Deli offers convenient fast food. You are also able to order online and pick-up for added efficiency. I discovered the vegetarian Astroturf Sandwich, which included roasted Eggplant, avocado, melted cheeses & the like. A 6 inch sub was plenty and the price point was good. I added a side of coleslaw. At $4.50 for a small side, I honestly don't see the value, but it tasted okay. I have a hard time understanding the price compared to the the sandwich that was very reasonably $11. All-in-all, this is an easy and quick spot for a bite while watching some games at the Peppermill's incredible sportsbook.

I ordered the New Yorker with pastrami for $18. With a slaw and soft drink came to $30. The bread was dense and seemed stale. The pastrami was just slices of fat. Inedible. I found a couple of slices that could be trimmed. Disappointed. Staff should focus on quality

When you are at the Peppermill and need a quick lunch break (so you can back to important tasks like gambling) this is convenient and fast. Their sandwiches are good especially the Reuben. The pastrami is carved to order and warm! Place your order at the counter and they will call your name when it's ready. And you can eat while watching games on the sports book screens.

For a casino sports deli, my husband and I love this place! We have come here over the years whenever there is a sports event my husband wants to watch and the Peppermill has a very nice sportsbook. The Sports Deli is a convenient place to grab a bite and as locals with a Peppermill Passport Rewards Club card, we get a 20% discount. We often get a 12-inch Astroturf to share because it is huge and yummy! It comes with roasted portobello mushrooms, avocado, roasted red peppers, black olives, red onion, and cheddar and jack cheeses. There are extras you can add to sandwich orders like mayo, tomato, lettuce, onion, oil and vinegar, etc. and we always ask for everything minus the mayo. You have an option to have it toasted and we like it like that because the cheese gets nice and melty. There are a variety of bread options to choose from and this time we went with a jalapeño cheddar roll. Everything about our order was on point - so fresh and delicious. We also got a fruit tart which I am guessing was prepared by the same "award-winning pastry team" that Peppermill's Biscotti's Café boasts of because it was fabulous! The staff is also super friendly! If you go here, be patient because sometimes you have to wait a bit for your order but it is worth it.

Good spot to grab a quick sandwich while watching sports at the sports book adjacent or playing upstairs in poker tournaments. Recommend the chicken salad, don't recommend the brisket at all (it is just roast beef). I see many people grabbing pizzas, I've not done so but had my share of the foot long chili dogs Aaaand the worlds largest $5 Magic Bars on the planet

    Chris L.

Chicago dog does not disappoint. This deli is awesome especially when you have an alcohol content enough to kill a small horse. Sammiches are good too. Recommend the eyetalian beef sammich. Tip the staff. Take care of the cocktail waitresses they're a lot of fun.

    Italian Dagwood
    Lisa C.

I don't usually eat at this deli but wanted a quick bite. This sandwich was so good. I had the Italian Dagwood. This had layers of Italian meats and fresh crunchy veggies like green bell peppers and cheese and more layers. Photo says it all. I had to split this sandwich with my hubby because it was too big for me. Prices are reasonable. Area is clean. Service was fast. I will eat here again and try another sandwich.

It was colorful and sweet and had lots of toppings. It left something to be desired though. (I had subbed blue cheese for feta). Service was fine and fairly quick for how busy it was. I added a slice of Swiss cheese to accompany my meat but in hindsight, I regret it as it took away from the overall taste of the sandwich. They clearly melted the Swiss somehow on the corned beef. Perhaps it was just from the hot sliced meat, microwaved (I doubt) or steamed? However, I was a bit disappointed as my sandwich came out fairly cold and by the feel of the bread I feel like it was ready well before it was brought out and sat a bit waiting for my mouth as the top bread was dry/crusty and the bottom slice was still steamy warm. I would have liked a hotter sandwich. For my side I chose the fries. Fresh and hot they would have been the bomb, however, like the sando, they were mediocre as they were past their prime. My dining partner had the grill pastrami (same price) with added Swiss cheese slice as well. The amount of meat on his sandwich looked 1/2 the weight/volume of mine. (I was glad with my choice.) Overall, I'll probably return for my craving of a good "Chicago Jewish deli" corned beef sandwich but will ask to be sure it's hot next time and I will also ask for freshly fried potatoes, or maybe I will try the potato salad or cole slaw. 3.5 stars out of 5.
