Walked in at 4:30pm and the line was short, parking was great. I made an unusual order. I ordered veggie sandwich grilled with apple wood bacon on it and it came out great. I am not vegetarian but I am constantly always looking for low calorie or healthier options lately. My sandwich had bell peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, Swiss cheese seasoned with mikes way when asked it looked like it was salt and pepper with olive oil. My sandwich came out delicious and had fun crispy texture on the inside for adding bacon my only wish is that if the buns were the chewy and hard texture it used to have for pleasing bite. We've had sandwiches here before, today wasn't as good as last time. Both sandwiches were extremely dry and the bread didn't seem particularly fresh which cannot be true with the high volume of sandwiches that go out the door. I will say one of the very engaging workers seems to have a hand in every aspect of the process which makes her not as efficient as she could be. She is pleasant and polite tho. Came here after a frustrating expriance at Urgent Care and this just made it worse. We came late Monday afternoon and ordered our favorite, the Hot Italian. The sandwich was okay, but was no where near as good as the one we had previously at another location. The meats were also not put on evenly so half the sandwich was meat heavy and the other half was light. We also ordered a soda but every single one of their fountain drinks had zero carbination. That doesnt just happen out of the blue. It had to have been like that all day. We were not warned and when we pointed it out we were offered no refund, so we bought an expensive drink for no reason. We ended up going to vons to buy our drinks to enjoy them with our dry sandwich. We've been here many times and have also ordered for delivery. I'd say Jersey Mike's is my favorite of the chain Sub shops. Plenty of meat, bread is always good and they just taste really good. I feel like I get my moneys worth. Employees are always nice and helpful. It's a small shop but always clean. Sign up for their rewards program, it doesn't take long to earn freebies. My Husband and I came to this store yesterday (Thursday). The store was clean, and the two staff who helped us were so very friendly and helpful with our order; in fact, they went the extra mile, making sure my salad had no cheese on it. After a failed attempt at redeeming my shore points for a sandwich on the app I went inside to see if it was possible . I was told to enter my phone number in the Box. I did and she told me what I already knew, I was entitled to s regular sub and to step to the other section to order it.i ordered a Big Kahuna, wtth half the Jalepeno and more of the red peppers. What i got was more Jalepeno instead. The sandwich cane out hot and tasted good. I did have to pick out some Jalepeno. My 1 star re pew has nothing to do with the service or the food quality/taste and is 100% due to the uncleanliness of the restaurant. I went in at 2 on a Saturday and guessing it was after the lunch rush. There were only 3 other customers inside at the time. The ice tea machine was out of order with a sign near it indicating wet floor and a huge puddle in front of it and around the soda machine and condiments. My order was quick and servers/staff very friendly. They had some fun banter going back and forth between them and it seemed like they enjoyed working together and I like seeing that. The sandwich was delicious as always. Unfortunately while waiting to pay and watching the staff mopping up the mess around the ice tea, I noticed how disgustingly dirty the floors were. Lots of dirt and food everywhere on the floors. Then I noticed a large black lump thing that could have been a dead mouse in the middle of the floor near the register and I probably almost stepped on it.. I playfully alerted them about it since one employee had a broom in their hand . I said that they may want to sweep up whatever that gross thing is! An employee did so but I noticed even though she had the broom, she didn't sweep up any of the remaining filth that was everywhere else. and it wasn't only crumbs it was literally trash and large pieces of food and black lumpy stuff that I'm guessing must have come from the oven? So I peeked behind the counter where the food was prepared and same stuff back there. It seemed like there were probably six or seven employees, having a conversation about how much there were looking forward to the end of shifts... plenty of people to make sure the floors were swept. I had to use the bathroom and it too had not been swept in quite awhile. The food was very good and tasted fresh but I won't be going there again. Been here a few times. Had no issues and my sandwiches were correct. However, I've just read the most recent Yelp customer reviews and am unhappy that they are filled with FAKE 5-star ones. I say "fake" because there were so many left by supposed customers who had never left another review or at best just a handful. This is incredibly obvious deceit, and it bothers me. These fakes do not balance out or negate the numerous bad reviews relating to employee behavior or inaccurate orders. The owner should police reviews and discourage fake reviews, unless he thinks his customers are so stupid and uninformed that they won't care. Hire better people. Train better. Monitor your staff better. Create better customer service and your franchise will be more profitable. It's not rocket science. Try to follow THE GOLDEN RULE! read more

I've been here over a handful of times. I was certain I had left a review, but I guess I haven't, so here we are. Jersey Mike's makes pretty delicious sandwiches. Jersey Mike's has an actual grill so when you order a hot sub, they actually grill up the meat for your sandwich. For the cold subs, they have a deli meat slicer and slice up the meat fresh for your sandwich. For their hot subs, I love their Big Kahuna Cheese Steaks (chicken #55 or regular #56) made with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños & extra white American cheese. If we are talking cold subs, my favorite is The Club or #8... made with turkey, ham, provolone, applewood smoked bacon & mayo. You can tell them the name of the sandwich you want, or just order by number. The sandwiches are delicious and always taste fresh. They have different kinds of bread options white, wheat, or Rosemary Parmesan. My favorite is their Rosemary Parm, so that's what I usually go with. For sandwich size, you can go regular (a half loaf of bread) or giant (the whole loaf of bread). I usually order a giant size and get my sandwich cut into quarters, then save the portions I don't eat for my next meal or for the next day. Service is consistently good at this location. Employees will greet you and are usually friendly which is always nice. There is a decent amount of seating and tables are almost always clean. They serve Pepsi products, I'm more of a Coca Cola products guy, but that's alright. There is a lot of parking in this shopping center, so no issue there. They have an app (who doesn't nowadays), which makes ordering very convenient. I eat here almost every week but this time im very disappointed with the customer service. I placed an order online but when I come in it wasn't even started yet. Employees don't care too much about customer satisfaction. No questions asked on how the sandwich was prepared. Asked for a melt they didn't ask me for my toppings, made it mikes way without asking me. Basically tossed the food at me when it was complete. Don't know who pissed them off but I got a soggy sandwich with a bunch of ingedients I didn't want. And since it's a melt it's fused with the sandwich making it pretty nasty. After my visit yesterday, I can safely say that I will no longer visit this location on Balboa which is unfortunate as it is the closest to where we live. The 2 women behind the counter making sandwiches were off the charts rude for absolutely no reason. After misunderstanding my order of a turkey on white bread with American cheese, the employee with the blue hair began preparing my order on wheat. I politely corrected her and told her "white bread please." She rolled her eyes and took out the white bread. She began to slice provolone cheese on the bread and once again had to correct her that the sandwich was solely turkey and American cheese on white bread. She was very curt and asked me if I wanted another sandwich. I replied "No thank you but we I would like to order a #7 as a bowl." She glared at me, then did a heavy eye roll and said "Yeah, that's another sandwich." I had to fight every urge not to tell her that her attitude was unjustified and unnecessary.
