What a disappointment this location turned out to be! It has been our twice per month go-to for years. However, lately the service has dropped in quality, and worst of all, they have noticeably done something that I never expected to see any Jersey Mike's do... Skimp! The last few orders of sandwiches we had were probably half the amount of meat as what was usual. The lettuce and onions look jacked-up, as well. I except more out of this place. Ordered online for in store pickup and it was ready on time. Store was clean, friendly workers, good experience. We ordered the large Italian, Mike's way, with banana peppers, red pepper spread and pickles added. Generous portions of meat and veggies. We also ordered some chips. Best Jersey Mikes sandwich I've ever had! Fist time at this Jersey Mikes location and they didn't disappoint . The person in front of me ordered a giant tuna and the staff made him an amazing sandwich, I ordered a big kahuna on wheat no onions. AMAZING SANDWICH! Didn't have to order extra meat it was perfect. Bread was grilled like i like it, tons of melty cheese and lots of cherry pepper relish . i even drove around with it for about 10 minutes and when i stopped to eat it was like it was fresh made . Jersey Mike's food is really good. My problem is that they're a lying bunch of cheaters. For the third month in a row, they've issued coupons in the mailing flyer. These coupons are all dated for last month. It's a really nasty bait and switch situation. They won't honor these coupons because they're dated last month but I just received it this week. Not sure what happened to this chain, but whatever it was I am glad it did. Originally I was not a fan of their style of subs and fixings, but all that changed recently and now they have become the family favorite. Not much else to say except that you get what you pay for here and this will be noticeable right away. The odds on favorite is the #13 Italian made Mike's way with pickles and mayo added; talk about an amazing sub, and it's good the next day too if you tell them easy on the oil and the vinegar. Now I'll just need to start trying some of their other choices, but then again 13 is my lucky number. read more

While the food is consistently good, the pickup has really been disappointing. Twice now I have ordered a "Sub In a Tub" and it was a total mess upon pickup. The food is served in a paper product clamshell container that flips open. The container twice was placed in a bag and then stood up on one of the ends...not flat. Guess what happens??? The oil and vinegar leak out of the container into the bag. Before you get to your car, it has soaked through the bag and begins dripping all over. This leaves a mess everywhere the bag goes. If management looks at these reviews, please train your employees how to properly package one of these salad orders. read more

Love the location at Alamo and Tapo. I used to go to another location in Simi closer to my home. Unfortunately, the service and order accuracy fell short too many times, so I tried the Tapo location and have been going back there ever since. My standard order is between 5 to 7 sandwiches. My order has been correct every single time and is never prepared the standard "Mike's Way". The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. When you walk in and they are busy, they always look up and acknowledge your presence by saying, "we'll be right with you" and then "thank you for waiting". After placing my big order (which was extremely easy completing online) I had to push the pick up time to 2:05. I called and spoke with Nick who was super cool about changing the time. Decided to try this location for the 1st time, but I was very disappointed and a bit annoyed. I wanted to use my points for a free sub. So I placed my order and when it was time to pay I began punching in my phone number to access my points because I had enough points for a free giant. The guy ringing me out at the register said, "oh yeah we are offline right now & you can't use your points" WTF! That pissed me off because he waited until the very end after making my sandwich to tell me. What if I would not have brought my wallet with me, what then? I look stupid at the counter for not bringing it? Then he starts rattling off something about how their modem or whatever is in transit. Like I give a f@$k. Usually I talk a s#*t when things like that happen but because there were other people in line I didn't want to sound cheap. It's not the monetary factor of having to pay that pissed me off!
