The customer service at this Jersey Mike's location was great! Victor & Yairo did an amazing job welcoming me into the shop while being very friendly and efficient. Yairo made one of the best Mike's Hot Italian subs that I've ever had in my life. The pepper relish combined with the hot meats and grilled onions made for a very tasty combination. Victor was very engaging and made the customers feel at home. I also noticed that he was constantly cleaning the restaurant between customers to make sure that the shop was clean and organized. Yairo & Victor made the perfect combination of back of the house food preparation and front of the house engagement with the customers, respectively. Jersey Mike's always seems to be a solid sandwich spot no matter the location you visit! I was in town visiting my best friend and she was having a major pregnancy craving for a Jersey Mike's sub so we obviously had to get takeout. Service was good and quick. Fast and friendly service. We love their cold subs, especially the turkey and provolone Mike's way. The quality and service always has been consistent. Did you know they also have breakfast menu and they use real eggs, not the boxed egg mixture. This location of Jersey Mike's has been kept very clean every time i visited, there is a small patio seating shared with Einstein Bagel next door. Came here twice during our stay in Solana Beach. Ordered the same thing, each time. Club Sub #8, no mayo. First time, our sub came with no bacon and no oil/vinegar...was dry, lame! Second time, everything was perfect. Jersey Mike's is always pretty tasty, and this was a good stop before heading to the beach. Some of the reviews here have me worried, but Jersey Mike's and this Solana Beach location have been consistently awesome for many years. Maybe my bad day is yet to come, but the sandwiches here were on-point today. Giants for lunch, Large catering orders, party trays, never missed a beat. #13 Italian or #6 Roast Beef are winners. It's just a really good sandwich for the money, and not hyped up or weird.. just fresh cut and stacked right in front of you. When a customer hands you cash that is a greater value than the bill for his order.... you give back the difference in what we call "change" Assuming that's your tip is not only ethically wrong, but it's also pretentious if you're implying that I HAVE to leave a tip. That change was totally going to go into the tip cup anyways. It's the principle and the fact that this is totally illegal. It's been a long time since I visited this location. I've always liked Jersey Mikes. The reason for 1 star - getting sick after my visit on 3/11/2023. Within 3 hours I had severe cramps. Shortly thereafter the trips to the bathroom started. LOTS of trips to the bathroom for the next 18 hours. I hadn't eaten anything since the night before, so I have to assume it came from the meal I had at the Solana Beach Jersey Mikes. This wasn't a mild case. I filed a complaint with the County Health Department. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

I've heard great thing about this place and my friend (who took me here) comes to this location twice a week. Long line at lunch but it moved quickly. We ordered: Big Kahuna Cheese Steak (Steak or Chicken): (Grilled onions and peppers plus mushrooms, jalapeños and extra cheese) . - you can see them grilling up the steak and onions so obviously it's better than Subway. But it took forever to get the sandwich and I found it strange that they don't ask you if you wanted anything in the sub (what if i want mayo, or lettuce, or WHATEVER in there??). Anyhow, didn't taste the extra cheese and I, personally, found the sandwich bland. And if you go to their website and check out the pic of this sub, mine looked NOTHING like their website pic The Original Italian (Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni) - my friend orders this everytime and it looked packed w/ meat. They did ask him what he wanted on his sub so perhaps certain hot subs they won't ask? Anyhow, he thoroughly enjoyed his sub. I usually see their coupons in the Money Mailer or the Clipper Mag. So that's great that they are offering great incentives during hard economic times. Would i go back - probably not unless someone insisted on it. With that said and after contacting Jersey Mike's about the Manager that sets his little office up on the last table when the place is packed is ridiculous. I was in the restaurant today and once again no tables to sit at the Manager is set up on the last table! Once again, we are forced to sit outside! This is not the first time since my original complaint that the dining area is also used as an office. You would think that they would want all tables available for the customer? I have been going to this place since the Kenney boys opened it. Not anymore. Two weeks ago I got yelled at by a punk kid for ordering a Bacon Lettuce and Tomato instead of a BLT. He didn't know what I meant - HUH???? I literally gave you the ingredients...so today I ordered a BLT and a boy said any more ingredients and I said no, so he started cutting and wrapping my "B". I said wait, I would like lettuce and tomato and he argued with me that I said no more toppings and I said lettuce and tomato are in the name... if I just wanted Bacon I would have ordered a "B".
