The customer service at this Jersey Mike's location was great! Victor & Yairo did an amazing job welcoming me into the shop while being very friendly and efficient. Yairo made one of the best Mike's Hot Italian subs that I've ever had in my life. The pepper relish combined with the hot meats and grilled onions made for a very tasty combination. Victor was very engaging and made the customers feel at home. I also noticed that he was constantly cleaning the restaurant between customers to make sure that the shop was clean and organized. Yairo & Victor made the perfect combination of back of the house food preparation and front of the house engagement with the customers, respectively. This was the best Jersey Mike's experience that I've ever had! read more

When they say Jersey Mike's is a sub above, I agree. I did all the advertising for SUBWAY for six years and I must say Jersey Mike's has them beat, in Price, taste and service. I had never been to this location and it was clean, spotless and really great service. I also love the app because today I got two free sandwiches. Happy Wednesday to me. read more

Jersey Mike's always seems to be a solid sandwich spot no matter the location you visit! I was in town visiting my best friend and she was having a major pregnancy craving for a Jersey Mike's sub so we obviously had to get takeout. Service was good and quick. The location appeared clean and organized. The only downfall to my turkey sandwich was that the bread was a bit soggy by the time we got home (about 15 mins drive). read more

Had a great experience at this location. Both of the employees were extremely friendly and nice. It was clean on the inside but a little bit small. My only complaint is that the prices are absolutely ridiculous at Jersey Mike's and it doesn't matter which location you visit. All in all the food was good, the service was great, and I would definitely go back. read more

Came here twice during our stay in Solana Beach. Ordered the same thing, each time. Club Sub #8, no mayo. First time, our sub came with no bacon and no oil/vinegar...was dry, lame! Second time, everything was perfect. Jersey Mike's is always pretty tasty, and this was a good stop before heading to the beach. Some of the reviews here have me worried, but Jersey Mike's and this Solana Beach location have been consistently awesome for many years. Maybe my bad day is yet to come, but the sandwiches here were on-point today. Giants for lunch, Large catering orders, party trays, never missed a beat. #13 Italian or #6 Roast Beef are winners. It's just a really good sandwich for the money, and not hyped up or weird.. just fresh cut and stacked right in front of you. Just happy there's still some good satisfying fast food that's not fried. read more

Jersey Mike's is my all time favorite sub place. Their #7 (Turkey & Provolone) sub in my go-to sub. I don't get it "Mike's way", since I don't like oil and vinegar on my subs. I instead get the traditional mayo and mustard. Give it a try! The rosemary Parmesan bread is the best. read more

When a customer hands you cash that is a greater value than the bill for his order.... you give back the difference in what we call "change" Assuming that's your tip is not only ethically wrong, but it's also pretentious if you're implying that I HAVE to leave a tip. That change was totally going to go into the tip cup anyways. It's the principle and the fact that this is totally illegal. That on top of the bad service I did actually receive (employees are cold as your deli meat) calls for two stars. Will try again and may update the rating based on my next experience. Do better! read more

Walked into the Lomas Santa fe location in Del mar at 756 pm. They close at 8 pm. They made me a sandwhich with the Best attitude at closing time. I love this company. They didn't even lock the door until after I left. Talk about great customer service. read more

I've heard great thing about this place and my friend (who took me here) comes to this location twice a week. Long line at lunch but it moved quickly. We ordered: Big Kahuna Cheese Steak (Steak or Chicken): (Grilled onions and peppers plus mushrooms, jalapeños and extra cheese) . - you can see them grilling up the steak and onions so obviously it's better than Subway. But it took forever to get the sandwich and I found it strange that they don't ask you if you wanted anything in the sub (what if i want mayo, or lettuce, or WHATEVER in there??). Anyhow, didn't taste the extra cheese and I, personally, found the sandwich bland. And if you go to their website and check out the pic of this sub, mine looked NOTHING like their website pic The Original Italian (Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni) - my friend orders this everytime and it looked packed w/ meat. They did ask him what he wanted on his sub so perhaps certain hot subs they won't ask? Anyhow, he thoroughly enjoyed his sub. I usually see their coupons in the Money Mailer or the Clipper Mag. So that's great that they are offering great incentives during hard economic times. Would i go back - probably not unless someone insisted on it. Perhaps it's just personal taste, but I find Steak Escape a better option for my Philly cheese steak subs. read more

It's been a long time since I visited this location. I've always liked Jersey Mikes. The reason for 1 star - getting sick after my visit on 3/11/2023. Within 3 hours I had severe cramps. Shortly thereafter the trips to the bathroom started. LOTS of trips to the bathroom for the next 18 hours. I hadn't eaten anything since the night before, so I have to assume it came from the meal I had at the Solana Beach Jersey Mikes. This wasn't a mild case. I filed a complaint with the County Health Department. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

Quite possibly one of the best Jersey Mike's locations in the San Diego region. Walked in 15 minutes to close, Jason greeted my girlfriend and I and made the whole process a complete enjoyment. Super easy to talk to, good vibes and all. Helped recommend another sub since we were doing the BOGO $5 for the giant subs. Unfriendly staff and slow too mobile orders consistently 10-20 minutes behind. What's the point of taking call in orders or app orders if you don't have them ready?? Ran by 3 awesome very attractive brothers! Dropped by here for a quick bite on my way back from work and ordered a Philly cheesesteak. The sub was amazing as usual, but the service was definitely 5 stars. The 3 brothers that runs this place was fast, coordinated, and super attentive. I wish I could take one of them home. jk. Ok, so I really like Jersey Mike's and the staff that is behind the counter at the Solana Beach restaurant are awesome. With that said and after contacting Jersey Mike's about the Manager that sets his little office up on the last table when the place is packed is ridiculous. I was in the restaurant today and once again no tables to sit at the Manager is set up on the last table! Once again, we are forced to sit outside! This is not the first time since my original complaint that the dining area is also used as an office. You would think that they would want all tables available for the customer? Again, I like Jersey mike's in general but probably won't be back to THIS location. read more

Been coming to J-Mikes since the dinosaurs in the land before time. The old owners (triplets) were always in beast mode. They were the reason we came for the subs. Now a days I see it on Lomas and I'm like "oh yeah a jersey mikes." Just another Sandwich shop. I used to be feel the energy when I walked in there with the triplets! I had the cheesesteak. It's everything I could want in a heart-stopping, fried onions dripping off a greasy steak, all wrapped up in melted cheese. I ordered the Giant to split with my daughter. Don't be put off by the price ($12); the Giant cheesesteak is enough to feed a small horse. Oh, as soon as I thought it couldn't get any better, they now stock TatsyCakes...FRESH TastyCakes. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. They are way over crowded, but it just tells me how lucky I am to be in line. Their subs are uh-may-zing!!! They pile on the meat (love the Italian), and will make it exactly how you ask the first time. They are pros in taking your order, so don't get overwhelmed with the lines, they move FAST. I used to go next to Einstein's for a quick bite with the kids, but sorry EB! I love JMs now, and so do the kids! read more

It all started back in 1956 in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey and was originally known as Mike's Subs. The word is definitely out though so it can get busy so cozy up at the bar for a cold one while you wait if you run thirsty like me, ha! Or they have plenty of outdoor seating if you want a ni ce breeze. The owner is rad, the entire staff is sweet, accommodating and overall they just absolutely nailed it here. Go see what all the hype is about, you'll leave with a full belly and a smile.

WHERE'S THE BEEF? The sandwiches are way overpriced for a lot of bread, and a tiny amount of meat with shredded iceburg lettuce and barely any cheese.. Five stars? That is laughable. They clearly must pay Yelp their routine extortion fee of $300-$1,000 per month to filter out bad reviews for pay. The line and wait time is ridiculously long in that the staff is too busy watching TV instead of working. Granted It's here say, but I keep hearing that their meat supplier is the same supplier as 7-Eleven, and Subway. I recently moved and was looking for boxes behind the Solana Beach location. A worker was out back smoking and he told me the bread dough, and meats are all frozen and that pretty much everything else comes pre-packaged in plastic or cans. I haven't eaten there since. When I want a real quality sandwich, I just go one exit up to El Camino Real and eat at Nosh, the best deli in San Diego in my experience. O'side store is better in overall cleanliness, attitude and service. Next time in the Solana Beach shop, check out the dirt on the meat cutters pants. I swear he has been wearing the same pair of Khaki pants for two weeks...not nice to not change your work pants, .i think he changes once a week....food is just a litte pricy, but I do like the food. OK we stopped in again and caught a late lunch...servers looked like the wore the same pants to garden...yuk...my lady friend and I walked out with a big question if we want that kind of lack of cleanliness. Was not impressed with jersey mikes at all. I ordered two philly cheese steaks sandwiches and they where smallest things I've ever seen for the not so low price of 17 dollars. I even called and asked if there was a mix up because we got sandwiches with one piece of meat and a lot of bread. No response. Ok I get it, you're in your 20s and I'm in my 50s so I don't exist. As I walk closer to the ordering area, I say again, "Hi! How are you guys doing?" (it's kind of a human thing to do). They mumble "fine". I tell them my order and say "can you ADD American Cheese?" These two Einstein's just put the American and not the Provolone that already comes with it. I repeat, the word ADD, as in please put ADDITIONAL American Cheese to the sandwich. They finally do that and the entire time they're having a personal conversation to the point of stopping their final steps to the order so they can...you know, finish their life changing convo. Once they're done and I've paid, I walk out with no "thanks have a good night" or any kind of customer service thanking the customer for coming in. Why would they? I walked in because the door was wide open and there were two employees inside. One was behind the counter (I believe his name was Brody, with slightly longer hair), and the other was sitting at a nearby table playing music loudly on a speaker. I stood at the counter for several minutes -- easily 5+ -- and was completely ignored. Brody was standing there the entire time and actively avoided making eye contact, pretending not to see me. No greeting, no acknowledgment, not even a simple "we're not open yet." Basic professionalism would have gone a long way. When I finally walked out, I turned back and suddenly Brody had no problem making eye contact and staring at me. Shortly after, I could hear him speaking negatively about me to the other employee, claiming I gave him a "dirty look." That was frankly immature. I went back in and calmly told him I heard what he said. Instead of responding professionally, he mocked me by repeatedly putting his hand to his ear and saying "I can't hear you." This happened multiple times. It was childish and disrespectful. What made the situation worse: two male customers walked in shortly after me, and they were immediately acknowledged and helped -- despite it still being before opening hours. When I re-entered, Brody disappeared into the back. The other employee then told me they were closed and I couldn't order -- yet the two men were still being served. The inconsistency in how I was treated compared to others was very noticeable and concerning. I ended up going next door to Milton's, where the service was excellent from start to finish -- friendly, attentive, and professional. And I went with the appetizer and entrée they recommended and it was fabulous! The Reuben and pastrami or corn beef was amazing at Milton's next-door. I also ordered food from Flower Child next-door the day before, and the food was healthy and extraordinary. I would strongly encourage management to look into this. This level of service -- and behavior -- is not acceptable. I also encourage mgmt to reach out to me about this.
