He didn't know what I meant - HUH???? I literally gave you the ingredients...so today I ordered a BLT and a boy said any more ingredients and I said no, so he started cutting and wrapping my "B". I said wait, I would like lettuce and tomato and he argued with me that I said no more toppings and I said lettuce and tomato are in the name... if I just wanted Bacon I would have ordered a "B". Delicious! I've stopped by this Jersey Mike's twice now and loved it both times. Every ingredient is so fresh and the vinigarette dressing is amazing! I wasn't sure how I felt at first because I'm used to subs with mayo and mustard but the dressing created a refreshing taste that I'm now in love with! Warm inviting ambience with the smell of fresh baked cookies you could smell out the door & this place was Soo Clean!! Jerry provided us with above & beyond excellent customer service. Was in here the other day before noon to beat the lunch crowd. They were busy putting orders together. I stood there for a good 10 minutes or so and did not get any sort of acknowledgement. I understand if they are busy but a simple " be with you in a minute" would suffice. Feeling neglected I decided to take my business elsewhere. Last week, I went in and some pretty old guy came in without a mask and they took the dudes order. What the hell. I never heard them ask if the guy is physically exempt from wearing one. I am sure this can be attributed to the young staff that works there and at the time, they were somewhat busy, with about 5 people waiting in live. He talked over me the entire time I was trying to notify him of issues with the store and the staff. Extremely rude and disrespectful. In full disclosure, the sandwiches are ok. Decent deli fare, fast and pleasant service to the credit of their staff. It's the value, which the employees don't control, is what is horrendous. They now charge $14 for many large subs. That is ridiculous. I bought a party tray once which was equally bad value. When you can get a large, hot turkey and swiss sandwich on French roll from a little market like Quick Korner Deli/Market on the 101 in Solana Beach for $8 (great sandwich btw)it makes me feel gullible for going to Jersey Mike's. read more

I got 5 sandwiches and paid $50 before tip and $60 after and when I asked about shore points they said it was my fault for not entering at the start and wouldn't fix it And rolled their eyes. We used to have them deliver food to our kids school but that ended up being wrong as well and numerous times they just forgot to send my child's food to their school, but charged us. Ok, you all know how much I love Jersey Mike's in Solana Beach! Well I have two more great reasons to love this location! Brad & OG Jimmy(OG means he was the first ORIGINAL Jimmy at the store) are the guys that work in the evening. Now I know we all love JM's for lunch but when you step in there after work and you are tired and have 45-60+ minutes of drive time home you want to be greeted by Brad & OG Jimmy! They have this great energy that peps you up and gets you excited to be there. My favorite is they know I'm hungry and want me to be safe on my way home, so they always cut off a small portion of my sandwich and wrap it separately so I can eat and drive SAFELY!! I know great customer service (being in the hospitality industry) when I see it and THIS IS IT!! I see other customers enjoying the same great service as I do, so it's not just because I'm cute (lol, I crack myself up sometimes). Let me preface by saying my review has nothing to do with the actual food but with the Owner/Manager. I've been to this location a total of 3 times b/c it's relatively close to my workplace and, for the most part, the sandwiches are delicious. However, every single time (3) that I've been here the Owner/Manager is constantly berating his employees. The first time I thought it was strange, the second concerned, but now I need to share this with others. As a customer it's extremely unprofessional and despicably offensive! As someone who works in Human Resources I'd classify the work environment as hostile, although I've never heard anything specifically discriminatory. For a grown man to parade around yelling at young adults, who are probably only there for a part-time job making minimum wage, in front of customers is wrong. There is a time and a place for criticism, which should always be even-toned and constructive. It's not in front of customers. I feel bad for the employees who've always been an absolute delight. I'm sure inside they have other feelings. People deserve to be treated differently, with respect and encouragement. That's not what I've seen here. So happy I'm the first to review this place! It just opened today. I should start by saying that the Solana Beach/Encinitas/Del Mar areas were DESPERATELY in need of a good sandwich place, as confirmed by the enormous line of people who were there at 11AM for lunch. Before today you had to go to the grocery store (or Subway... gross...) to get a sandwich. So good for these guys for noticing and jumping on the opportunity. The coolest thing about this place is that you walk in and immediately feel like you're on the east coast. They've done a remarkable job recreating the authentic eastern seaboard deli! The meat for your sandwich is cut right there in front of you and your sub (or wrap or salad) is made-to-order. Now for the sandwich. Oh my god. Best sandwich I've ever, ever had. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich. When the manager guy put the cheese on the bread there were large pieces of meat stuck to the cheese from using the uncleaned slicer. I pointed out to the guy the large pieces of turkey on my sandwich and he got mad at me for his uncleanliness, yet he did nothing to remove it until I pressed the issue. After this he passed it on to the next guy to put the rest of it together. I told this guy (twice) to just put a little oil on it. To give some context...I'm pretty much a sandwich junkie. They are my go-to meal because I'm always on the run. I eat at Subway because they're everywhere & consistent... bland but consistent. For the most part, the other chains (Submarina, Quiznos, Togos) are the same. My excitement dimmed a little when I learned it was a franchise and not an independent, but I still needed to try it. After scanning the menu, I had to try the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak (giant size, of course). I love a good cheesesteak. It doesn't have to be "traditional" or "authentic", it has to be good. The few "real" cheesesteak places I've tried around here are lacking (and over priced). I was pleased to see the source of the heat for my hot sandwich wa a flattop grill and not a microwave. It made my mouth start to water and my stomach start to growl. The "giant" size lived up to its name. It was wrapped in 2 separate bags! I drove to an inconspicuous place where I could feast without distraction or interference. This sandwich was VERY good. Fresh ingredients (mushrooms, peppers, jalapenos on a wonderfully soft roll. The meat was tender and juicy, no trace of fatty filler. Everything covered with gooey melted cheese. I was filled up after the 1st half of the giant. The other half is mocking me from the passenger seat. It will wait until we are home & can enjoy it with a cold adult beverage. This has to be the best cheesesteak in a 20 mile radius. I can't wait to go back to begin working my way through the rest of the menu. On top of the quality food, customer service was great, the store is clean. Though not the cheapest sandwich shop around, its a good value when you consider the fresh, quality ingrededients. My giant Big Kahuna Cheesesteak with chips & large soda was around $13.00. In N Out's open locations and have a high level of continuity, but I was skeptical about this place. Solana Beach (really more RSF imo) didn't seem like a Jersey Mike's type of location. Way way in the back of the shopping center east of the Lomas exit. Dual split lines designed for speed, butit just creates confusion on who was first. I've had other subs from other jersey Mike's locations and something about the meats, the breads, the whole shebang didn't do me right. Finally a new place that makes me want to write a review. Found this place on my Yelp app. The reviews were good so i decided to check it out. Easy to find, just off the 5 at Lomas Santa Fe on the right. First thing i noticed when walking in was the friendly staff. The were slightly busy but the line was moving quick. After checking out the menu i locked in on the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. My friend order the #7. They cook and cut all of their meats and cheeses to order. The food came out fast. My sandwich was awesome! The bread is super fresh and the steak was incredibly hot and the extra cheese was dripping all over. I quickly realized that I was gonna need a few more napkins. Personally, I think Jersey Mike's as a whole is the best chain sandwich shop there is, & often better than many independent shops around... this is BY FAR, the best Jersey Mike's I've been to yet! I like that they cut the meat/cheese when you order, & the ingredients, from the meat/cheese to the veggies & bread are all fresh. Whenever I get a sandwich w/ bacon on it (#9... Club Supreme... 1 of my 2 favorite sandwiches here), the bacon is always fresh & tasty. Too many places that serve bacon not cooked to order taste like bacon bits, or is just bland, but you can actually taste the bacon here. Prior to Jersey Mike's, I never imagined I'd like oil/vinegar on a sandwich, but it's part of what sets them apart from Subway & the rest (Subways just nasty... always smells like chemicals the few times I get stuck going there). The staff is very friendly, work great as a team assembling your sandwich & work balls to the wall when it's packed... very hard workers. They told me to sign up for the rewards and I did. I had a free sandwich that I did not redeem for months due to the pandemic.
