My daughter is in the hospital, so she ordered food for my wife to pick-up curbside. She ordered two large sandwiches, two drinks, and two bag of chips. My wife had no idea what she ordered when the JM employee came out to our car and handed her the bag. Turns out the JM employee forgot to give my wife the two drinks and two chips. So, my wife drove all the way from Sparks to St. Mary's to deliver the food, and my daughter wondered where the rest of her food was! I've had numerous problems with this location, including rude employees and hard, stale bread. We won't go back, but my daughter (who just gave birth two days ago) wanted JM's, so we obliged. The last experience that my wife and I had there, we posted our review and the owner replied with what sounded like a canned response: "We're sorry. Please give us another chance". Blah, blah, blah! Here's your second chance, and you ripped my daughter off! Don't do business with these people. They don't give a shit! If I could rate them lower, I certainly would! I tried to call, and GUESS WHAT? No answer! Check out the other reviews. They need to take their crappy service and lousy attitudes back to Jersey, where it's acceptable. Jersey Mike's Is a chain sandwich shop that I actually love, but this one needs some help with their customer service. It looks like they've actually only had one positive review in the last year, mostly complaints on service. I considered ordering online but decided to grab it in the restaurant, but wish I wouldn't have. The attitudes of the three people working really brought me down. Staff was very unfriendly and could barely speak and acted like customers being there was a problem. Three customers in a row could not understand the questions being asked from behind the counter and were snapped out when they said they couldn't hear. They didn't ask what size I wanted, so just proceeded to make giant's which was larger than i would have ordered. Masks were worn under the chin, which I get no one wants to wear one anymore, but we need to and especially while serving food is important. Food itself was good as usual, But it's was a very uncomfortable experience overall and I really hope something is done about the service because times like this will not make me want to come back anytime soon. read more

This place has a damn good sandwich. Wow wow wow Be prepared to spend a little more money but it's worth it. I would recommend if you are taking your sandwich home for later, maybe order it dry. Dry, meaning no oil and vinegar because the sandwich will get soggy. Next time I will buy the little containers of their signature oil and vinegar and put it on my sandwich as needed. Been here twice so far. The cheese steak is good, but in my opinion a little pricy for the size. The sandwiches seem to take forever to prepare. I waited more than 20 min for mine, which is a bit excessive for a sandwich shop. Both visits the cashier went straight into the payment process without asking if I was a rewards member, so I didn't earn points. But, if they can't improve their speed I probably won't be returning very often, so I'm not sure it's gripe-worthy in my case. read more

My husband and I had been here before and had a really great lunch. This time my husband ordered a cold sandwich regular size. I ordered a grilled sandwich,regular size. My husband got his sandwich and I said go ahead and eat mine will be right up. I was wrong. 15 minutes and I am getting angry. I went up to the counter and said my husband is almost done with his sandwich where's mine. A girl assisted a very young man on the grill and was apologizing. I am starving. She hands me my hot sandwich. It is smaller by far than what my husband had received. This has also happened at Cappriotis, we order the same size and mine is much smaller. I bite the sandwich hungrily and it is quite salty. I was very disappointed. I go up to the counter and let them know. They deny using salt which is fine, but the sandwich is still very salty. Where is their bacon cooked I wondered to myself. Really not sure. They all gave me fish eyes like I was making it up. I was not asking for a replacement and I leaned in and told the nice guy running the register very quietly that it was salty. It was the Chipotle chicken. Deny Deny.... I bagged up the sandwich and my husband and I took 2 buses home. Later that day my husband was still hungry and took my sandwich out of the fridge. My husband took a bite he says "it's salty". Love Jersey Mike's but this location is just gross. The large guy put the top of the bread against his nasty apron to put mayo/mustard on the bread. Why not leave it on the cutting board? Guys apron was gross and look like he never washes his apron. The lettuce was turning another color and the mayo top layer look like it was chill correctly. Terrible that the online ordering does not let you order a wrap then tried calling and their phone at South Reno location was all static and employee kept hanging up. Since their sandwiches are awesome I drove down their it was the lunch hour and there was 2 women working and two younger men one man mainly working cash register they both were terrible and extremely slow the customer behind me kept reminding him to put bacon on my sandwich and hers I ordered no onion but I had onions on my my sandwich the other sandwich I ordered was loaded with onions also. I think management needs to be there up front and center during the lunch rush. This is the second mistake in one week we all ordered from my office just down the street the boss who went and picked up everything got back and we were one sandwich short but she was charged for it. Went to Jersey Mike's in Sparks (Legends) at approximately 11:40 AM. I was surprised to see that there were about 12 people in line waiting to have their sandwiches made. I suddenly understood why. There were 6 employees behind the counter that I could see working. One employee (female) was standing at the grill (hot sandwiches), one employee (male) was standing writing down orders from customers, one employee (female) was actually making the cold sandwiches, one employee (female) was standing waiting to wrap up the sandwiches, one employee (female) standing at the register waiting to have people pay for the sandwiches. There was also one employee in the back cutting up vegetables. Four of the employees were just standing there doing nothing until something came their way. By the time I gave them my order and paid, there were approximately 20 people in line most waiting to have their order taken. I have never seen such INEFFICIENCY at a private business in all my life. I would have thought it was a government operation if I didn't know any better. The majority of the employees were standing there watching the other employees work. It took about 20 minutes to get my sandwich. Had the other employees standing around helped out the employees take the orders, make the sandwiches and get the line moving, customers wouldn't have to wait so long to get their orders. One customer had gone up to the counter three (3) times to inquire about his order it was taking so long. PROS: Sandwiches are good, at least the one that I ordered (Big Kahuna - Philly Cheesesteak). The prices are a little higher than some of the other sandwich shops, but I enjoyed the sandwich once it was made and got to me (to go order). Luckily, I had a $6.99 coupon (sandwich, drink and chips) which lessened the pain of waiting for the sandwich to be made. All I can say is Jersey Mike's in Sparks better get their employees crossed trained and helping out (hustling a little more), otherwise your business will be going downhill FAST!!! Limited Sandwich Choices, Expensive, Short list of toppings My mother lives in the area so she received several coupons for here as part of a promotion to bring in customers for its opening month. I used a BOGO coupon and I still don't think this place is worth it. I personally thought all the cold sandwich options weren't creative. You can get the same sandwiches from Jimmy Johns or Port Of Subs for a lower or similar price, but higher quality. Their standard bread is okay at best, It's dry-ish,too thick, and has excessive grains (I am not sure what they are called but they are yellow like durum wheat) that just cause a mess every time you take a bite. The toppings available for the cold sandwiches are extremely limited: lettuce, tomato, onion, oil & vinegar, and your basic salt, pepper, and oregano. Overall, the cold sandwich options are unimpressive. I also tried their Philly cheese steak. Flavor wise, it tasted exactly like how you think a cheese steak would taste. However, it was too salty. I suggest going to Capriottis if you want a cheese steak- their bread is better and it's cheaper (same price, but the sandwich is larger). Overall, in a saturated sandwich market, Jersey Mike's is at the bottom. There are plenty of other sandwich places that offer more or better options for a better price. Love the Rosemary-Parm bread that I discovered in the Reno location. I was very excited to find a location in Sparks! However, the first time I went I wasn't asked what type of bread I wanted. It was busy and someone called it sick. Today the bread was still baking so not available. Why is a few loaves not baked early? Worker said that's the way the owner wants it. I waited nearly FORTY minutes for a regular grilled sandwich. It was peak lunch time but still, that grill is too small. This isn't the 1st time this has happened, the first time I just let it go since I didn't have time to go through the whole calling them run around. Well today I did have time, talked with Tiffany she told me they have a lot of new people (who apparently can't read) and I needed to call door dash directly to get a refund and then I could order another sandwich (why so I can wait another 30-45 minutes for another wrong sandwich?) We just ordered a very large 120.00 order from the Sparks location, I ordered the Sub club (comes with bacon) I added extra bacon and extra cheese. Started eating the sandwich and noticed there was no bacon or extra cheese. I called to let them know that they had left the bacon and extra cheese off. Ice all over the floor when I walked in....ok no biggie maybe someone spilled but when I walked up to the counter the place was a disaster! Bread crumbs and pieces of bread all over the counter. Like everywhere. The meat slicer had various pieces of meat all over it. The condiments on the counter were uncovered, the bacon uncovered and looked old. The lettuce looked old and wilted. All the produce looked very sad. Receipt paper all over the back counter. I was about to order then told the lady I changed my mind. I was so grossed out by the mess. I didn't mention it but she obviously knew because she said sorry you just missed our rush....I highly doubt it with the location that it gets that busy. There was one table sitting inside and the parking lot was empty. As I left she proceeded to the back and didn't attempt to clean up anything. Probably would not give this location another try. Bummer because other locations are always clean and good and not empty. Cover up your bacon!!! Cover up the produce and Mayo!! Wipe a counter!! Clean that meat slicer!!!! Terrible service. First off....when your making sandwiches, don't blow into your glove before putting it on prior to making sandwiches. That defeats the purpose of wearing gloves. We went to this place because we had a coupon for a free sub. My husband and I are quite picky about the bread on a sub and this one is the best. We had the wheat roll. It was obviously fresh baked, with crunchy crust and a melt-in-your-mouth soft interior. The good news is that I get to go back because I was so interested in watching the cashier entertainingly snap open the paper bags and precisely fold the sub securely inside that I forgot about the coupon and swiped my visa instead. Just tried Jersey Mike's for the first time ever today! We got the #15 meatball sub and a cheesesteak #56 (had jalapeños in it), we each had half and then switched, they are both so yummy! I feel like this place will become a frequent lunch/dinner spot for me! I had been told to try them forever and I'm so happy it was a great as people have told me. Can't wait to try more items from the menu especially after having two that were both so tasty. Bread seemed super fresh, hot delicious ingredients and the sandwiches themselves were well put together-(not falling apart or anything) the cheesesteak was messy, but in the 'all the deliciousness is falling out as I eat because there is too much deliciousness in this bread to contain it all' kinda way, not the- 'it was thrown together' kinda way. The meatball sub had the perfect amount of meat/sauce/cheese and was great all hot and fresh. Perfect portions too, not a ridiculously huge sandwich but also very filling. I would have taken pictures but my overwhelming need to eat said sandwiches was far greater for me to hold off for pics, maybe next time! read more
