Food is good (usually) - 1 star I like all of the other ones in the valley - 1 star. Otherwise, this is a great place to go if you feel like interrupting conversations of the employees and inconveniencing them with having to do their job. Typically jersey mikes is good because its not just a slapped together sandwich like their competition. Unfortunately this particular location seems to differ from every location in the valley in that they want to just throw something together as fast as possible, quality be damned. For instance, we recently came in while the restaurant was pretty dead. There had been an already cut (horizontally and vertically) piece of bread just sitting out on the counter. Rather than get a new slice, they served us this dry, stale, underwhelming sandwich. Nevermind it just seemed unsanitary. Almost every employee here could use a lesson in common courtesy, specifically - the customer pays your check, so don't treat them as if they were a interruption to a super deep conversation. read more

This is a real conversation that has been replicated with permission from the participants. I ordered the turkey and provolone sandwich made "Mike's way" which includes all the good stuff like lettuce, tomato, onions, vinegar, oil, pickles and yum. It was neat how they would take the giant slabs of turkey and cheese and run it through this fancy (dangerous) chopper thingy. It helps to see all the ingredients being used in a super fresh way. The staff was nice and we all had a pleasant conversation. The location was clean. My only bummer was they didn't have the nutrition information readily available. I think at the beginning of the year this became a law and even if not, it's a chain, and it's helpful to most customers to have it available in a pamphlet at least. The sandwiches are good, service fast but I don't like the fact they put a tip line on their receipts. When you pay by CC they ask you at the register if you want to leave a 10/15/ or 20 percent tip. This is fast food - they have a tip jar. I DONT GET IT. read more

First I have to say that I really love Jersey Mikes. I have been to several of them in the Santa Clarita Valley but the one I went to today in Stevenson Ranch was crazy. I went during lunch time and there was maybe 3 people in line and the service was not great. I mean 3 people is not too much. The Staff was all over the place I had to repeat my order 3 times. When I got to the check out they tried to over charge me and I had to correct them. The completely ignored one of the customers that was lined up behind me. The man in front of me had to let them know that there was another customer waiting in line. YAYAYAYYYY so yummy! and it's so close to my house!! i got the #56 and it was SO delicious! I'm a hot sub fan so that sub really won me over. my boyfriend got the super sub and it was alright, i guess. it wasn't as meaty as i had anticipated but I'm sure if i was in the mood (and not already LOVING my sandwich) it would have been better. Always a good experience here. It's my favorite sub place. Subway doesn't even come close. Plus its right near my house so I'm always there. I always get the #13 Italian Mike's Way or if I want a hot sub, I go with the #43 (?, I think), the Chipotle cheesesteak. I love this place. It's a huge local school supporter. I've been here so many times, and ordered the same exact thing so many times that some of the staff know right off the bat what to make. It's almost embarrassing, but since it's for my 15 year old son, who is a creature of habit... This place is clean, well-lit, and maintained really well. There is an occasional shortage of some items (I've gone in and they've been out of white bread, or chocolate chip cookies), but that was usually at the tail end of a busy weekend. They have a great selection of subs, and even though I don't do it Mike's Way, I've always gotten it exactly how I want it, unlike other sandwich places (* cough * Togo's * * cough *) I could mention. It's a good, reasonably priced meal, in a great location. The only negative I could name isn't their fault. Someone needs to get rid of the shrubs lining the parking spaces in front. I tend to stop at this JM coming home from Bakersfield. The staff is always friendly. Today the store was a little messy. Majority of the tables were dirty with crumbs and smears. Today was the day they really needed to clean the bathroom. I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness which scares me if the staff and the kitchen is clean. Went here on a Thursday at 1:30pm and the line was out the door, the place was packed!! I came back after 2pm and the place only had a handful of people eating there and no line. The meat is freshly sliced and piled high, not like Subway where the meat is pre-portioned in the bin and slapped on. The rolls are large and fresh. My roast beef was pink and delicious, the Mr who loves his "Spicy Italians" was really tempted by my Roast Beef- I (generously-LOL) let him have "A" bite. I was shopping at the Old Road strip mall when my huger finally got the best of me and I was woozy and needing a fill-up. I'm on a low-carb diet so most of the options didn't work for me. Finally, I caved in and walked across the parking lot to Jersey Mike's. I'M SO GLAD I DID! Diet or no diet, I had THE best ham/turkey/mayo/etc sandwich, EVER. The girls working that day were nice, there was only 2 other people in there (on a Sunday at 1:30pm...wow), and my sandwich was to die for. I got a chocolate chip cookie and soda as well. What can I say about my favorite Lunch spot in the Word!!! We probably go once or twice a week... It's quick, it's FRESH, unique, delicious, reasonable, clean, and it has one of the friendliest staffs in SCV. Our favorite is the turkey wrap with spinach tortilla, as well as the Ruben sub. Whenever you tip the staff, they ring a bell and they all say "THANK YOU" Not to mention the General Manager, Mena, who walks around with cookies sometimes spreading "sugary delights for everyone". It is really nice to have the staff know you on a first name basis and remember "how you like your sub" without telling them. Oh!!! Great sammiches, sanguiches, etc. No matter how you say 'sandwich', Jersey Mike's has it all over the other chain stores. No other chain store in SoCal does what Jersey Mike's does--east-coast style subs! I heard a Jerky Boys routine once where someone was calling in for a sandwich. The sub-shop asked, 'Mayo or oil?' and I was like 'Mayo or who?'. I had no idea sandwiches were made like that, at least not until Jersey Mike's showed up in CA near me. Their Big Kahuna is fab. The Mike's Way Italian is phenomenal. The only downside is sometimes I get stuck with a low-effort, low-talker teens who I'd rather not interact-with. But, this happens with teens on-occasion. Thankfully, the one in-question is no longer there, and these days I order online anyway. Speaking of online orders, Jersey Mike's MUST create a special-pickup area (or at least a sign) for online orders because when you waltz right up to the front of the line, people invariably think you're cutting in front of them...and they have their backs to you so they may not even know you're there. The design of the restaurant makes it awkward because there's no 'good' place to stand. It's weird and uncomfortable, especially when it's busy and cashiers have to decide whether to ring up the next customer or address me, and if they're slow with that it can be awkward. A little sign such as 'online order pickup' would put everyone at ease...and there's not much room to stand either what with the cashier people, their gaggle of friends or kids, people getting drinks, etc. The food is always top-notch. Jersey Mike's ROCKS! Please add an online pickup sign so people don't freak out when we 'cut' in line. :D read more

Ordered the chicken parm. Worst sandwich ever. They don't make it in front of you so you don't see how much of what they put on it. I thought I was going to get a solid piece of crusted chicken on melted cheese with tomato sause as imagined. Unfortunately what I got was bits of breaded chicken SOAKED in tomato sauce and the sandwich bread SOAKED in tomato sauce. It was more like a disgusting version of a sloppy joe. I could not pick up the sandwich because it was SOAKED and Soggy. I had to cut a portion first and my first 2 bites were TOMATO SOAKED BREAD. I lost my appetite. I could no longer stomach this atrocious disaster they need to just take ot off the menu or make the sauce a dip. read more

Had my first sandwich from them last night. It was the best sandwich a food service establishment has ever served me. The servers were friendly and engaging and just chatty enough to be fun, but at the same time they were moving fast to get through the line rapidly. The prices are good. There are several sizes of sandwich available. I had the regular and it was very filling and I'm a big guy. The giant would stuff almost anyone, but is a good option for dinner and then the other half for lunch the next day (which is what my fiance' did with her hot sandwich, something with beef and chipotle mayonaisse that smelled and looked very tasty, she said it was excellent and has put this place on her list of faves). Sandwich: their turkey chipotle special, it was best turkey sandwich I've ever had from a restaurant, probably best sandwich from a restaurant period. Update: came back and had an Italian type sub, it was like eaty delicious cold pizza on nice bread, I loved it. I keep ordering things the "Mike's Way", their default method of making the sandwich, that seems to work well for me. Not changing my star rating, this place is as good as it gets. read more

Coming from the east coast I'm a bit picky when it comes to sub sandwiches. I rarely go to places like subway as I prefer fresh ingredients and tasty bread - believe me when I say that Jersey Mikes delivers on all fronts. The staff is very friendly and even with longer lines they move the customers through quickly. My go-to is a steak n cheese sub - the nice thing about Jersey Mikes is that you can customize any sub to your liking. Not to mention that they seem to be one of the only chain food restaurants that is consistently involved in charitable work and are constantly finding ways to give back to the community. I have to put in my 2cents after reading the other review here. Yes, the store is new, and yes, the employees were a bit slow in the beginning, but what do you expect in the first week? The lines were very long, but everyone had a smile, and the place was extremely clean. I ordered the #43, a cheesesteak with chipotle sauce. It was amazing ... even with the peppers and onions, the chipotle gave the meat a nice little kick. My bf had the Italian Mike's Way and loved it. The menu says exactly what ingredients are in each sandwich ... there were pickles, pepperoncinis, and other stuff available for the asking. But Mike's Way is the way to go. I've been back once, and again had a good experience. We will definitely be back. read more
