Second time dining here and I'm so not disappointed with my food. The sandwiches are always fresh and hitting the spot. This store is clean and the staff is always hard at work providing great customer service It's the little things.

Service is a little slow but to be expected when they slice the meats for each sandwich. It was a pretty good sandwich and they do load up the meat. Location isn't the best and hard to find.

We were at jersey mikes 25 minutes ago and the lady who took our order was externally rude!!! I do not know her name but I do have a photo. When we were checking out she rolled her eyes then proceeded to slam the cup down and loudly say "would you like your receipt" she went to make my sisters sandwich and got annoyed when she was adding stuff to it like the sandwich came out of her pay check. The rest of the workers were sweet and we didn't have a issue with them!

Make sure you pay attention while they are preparing your to go order. Got home and this is what they served me. Moldy bread. Contacted corporate and management, no response. Eat here at your own risk. ******UPDATE.... management addressed my issue and handled it promptly and professionally.

We went here yesterday 2-18-2020. We were looking forward to trying it for the first time all to be let down in every way possible. We waited 15mins just for someone to take our order of 3 sandwiches, they only made 1 of them and it was wrong so we had to wait another 15 mins for them to make our sandwiches. All of them were wrong but we were starving so we ate them. The girl at the register gave us an excuse of they were dealing with HR so that is why everything was a mess. They were all very rude, the sandwiches were not worth the cost or the wait. We will never go back. read more

Straight trash. Went in bought a kids ham and cheese sandwich with a cookie and small drink and a number 17 steak and cheese peppers and onions. 24.80$ paid with a 50$ cash got no receipt and waited for my food. Got the steak and cheese. Asked for my cup and cashier said I didn't pay for one. I said yes I did and he asked me for my receipt who he offered to no one. I said you didn't give anyone a receipt. He looked up my order in the computer rolled his eyes and gave me my cup. Then I asked for my kids cookie and his drink cup and he said I paid for a large ham and cheese sub not a kids ham and cheese meal. He charged me for a large ham and cheese which was same price as kids meal. Wouldn't give me the cup and wouldn't give me the cookie and they threw away the kids meal they made for me. They said since I was charged for a large ham I get a large ham and not the kids meal I ordered. So weird. They did make me the kids meal but wouldn't let me have it cause I was charged for a large ham and cheese and it was literally exactly the same price. They looked at me like I was crazy for wanting the kids meal that I ordered that was sitting on the counter. But I couldn't have it cause I was charged for a large for the same price. Wtf I know I repeated myself but had to for being able to show how stupid these kids are that work at the Mohegan jersey mikes. read more

I REALLY like their sandwiches . have eaten here maybe four times and am always impressed with the freshness of the food and the quality of the bread. The roast beef and provolone is my favorite...absolutely delicious.My wife loves the turkey wrap... leaves Subway in the dust. its not perfect though. they seem to have way too many employees standing around and not being helpful. When the place gets crowded...the line moves very slowly. Needs much more organization. Also..be careful with "extras". I had a mini-tuna recently and was asked if I wanted some provolone on it. I said yes..and was charged $1.25 extra for two slices of cheese! Meats and cheeses are sliced fresh in front of you. excellent choice for a quick casino lunch or dinner. read more

1. We waited 30 minutes for one sub 2. Worst possible service I've ever experienced in my life. 3. The employees socialized while customers were lined up out the door. 4. Steak was left on the grill to dry out and burn for the entire time we waited. So safe to say we'll never be going back and it's a shame because every other Jersey Mike's in CT has provided excellent service. read more

Not bad for a quick easy lunch or dinner. They slice all their meat and cheese to order. We did have to wait a minute extra for a hot sub, nothing out of the ordinary. They have a few tables inside to eat at. The soda machine is a lot of fun. Found diet Barq's root beer!!! Clean and easy to find. read more

Tonight i was enjoying a great sub and a customer whom clearly had a rough night was not only rude but disrespectful to the ladies behind the counter. If this where me i would have been upset but the manager involved was not only polite the whole time and understanding but you would have never guessed she was being treated so rudely. I will say the food and the staff are both amazing and will be back I'm usually not a helper but when you see such restraint and the kept there smile it's just admirable and they never skipped a beat with the other customers. read more

Around this time last year I would have recommended this location to anybody! Unfortunately I have gone there 3 times in the last few weeks and every time I am more dissatisfied. It seems the familiar friendly staff I came to love no longer work there. The new staff is not trained very well considering I am now receiving subs with half the amount of meat and veggies as I once did. BUT THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING! During 2 of these 3 visits I made their meat case was visably broken!! The first time there was a pile of towels underneath the meat case soaked in water. During this visit BOTH of the soda machines were not operational and had pans underneath filled with days worth of dried soda syrup. When I asked why the machines were down the employee responded "Nobody knows they haven't worked in a week or so". Today the meat case was completely shut down with a technician working on it so I was told I wouldn't be able to order anything cold instead of being offered to have it sliced in the back room which the previous staffed had done for me before. Last year I came in during a meat case malfunction and I watch 2 managers work together to make sure customers could still order cold subs by having the girl work the slicer and take orders while the man kept running all the meats she needed back and forth from the fridge in back. THAT WAS WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Nobody in the line even cared that it took longer than normal either because everybody could see that they are working hard and having fun while doing it! Sadly that passion and drive doesn't seem to be in the store anymore. The crew now is miserable the entire time they work through a line. Don't worry you can get your extra pickles, with an eye roll or a sigh of course! Whoever is running this store now has let it go and I will no longer recommend this store to anymore nor return myself. read more

Very disappointing! The only reason we went to Mohegan was to get Jersey Mike's. It was not clean! The counters where the food is made were dirty with previous bread pieces, lettuce, tomatoes, onions laying around. The counter definitely wasn't wiped off after each sub is made. There were onions floating in the mayo! So we did not get any toppings on our $16/each sub, because it looked so unappetizing. We use to love this place when it first opened, but the last three visits were not good. We won't be returning. There are too many other good choices at Mohegan! The floor where the customers walk in was also very sticky and gross. read more

When I want a quick dinner at Mohegan I will usually go to Geno's to eat one of their Philly steaks. I decided to give Jersey Mikes a try which turned out to be a mistake. The Philly was greasy and bland, the cheese tasted lousy, it was one of the worst I ever had. I thought maybe I caught them on a bad day however I happened to speak to another person who had eaten there recently and they confirmed my thoughts on the Philly. If you want a good Philly go to Geno's. I will rarely write a bad review however, the food was bad enough where I was compelled to do so. read more

First time diner. Went with meatball parm which was good but overpriced. That is one of the sandwiches which is not put together right in front of you. It was not toasted and it wasn't busy when I went and this took about 15 minutes which is not acceptable. When I mentioned this to the manager they gave me a palms up shrug. Jersey mikes has an option to turn any cold sub into a salad and I was very excited to discover this a few days ago. I ordered the roast beef and provolone 'in a tub' and yea it was just the sub style shredded lettuce and sliced tomato and onion 'mikes way' w seasoning and red wine vinegar and oil... But the amount of meat and cheese was great and it was rolled into a pinwheel and sliced nicely. Tonight 9/26/16 I wanted a healthy food option after a long work day and my boyfriend rushed over to get us two 'salads'. He got there at 9:52 and they close at 10pm... We both work in the industry and understand how annoying it is to get late night orders right before closing BUT this experience was unacceptable. He asked if they were done bc they were already counting money and they said no but all rolled their eyes. They barely covered the bottom of the container in the shredded lettuce and then put the meat and cheese in the containers without rolling and slicing into the pinwheels. AND THEN they just closed the lid without asking if he wanted any toppings or the 'mikes way' dressing. So even though he felt uncomfortable he had to ask for tomato onion and the dressing AND he asked for a little more lettuce. AND THEN (lol) he comes to me with a tiny paper bag and the containers are sideways in the bag ( and facing each other so one would be upside down even if you put the bag down flat) all the vinegar and oil are soaking the bottom of the bag because the plastic containers have been packed sideways and now we have to dump out the contents, re-dress the 'salad', and chop the deli meat the employees so begrudgingly placed on the pre-shredded lettuce. I do hope management sees this. And I do hope this changes. My boyfriend and I have both worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years. I don't want anyone to get in trouble BUT IF YOU CANT HANDLE SERVING PEOPLE AND GIVING 100% WITH A GREAT ATTITUDE RIGHT UNTIL THE LAST SECOND OF CLOSING TIME then you should get another job. People pay hard earned money to get what they expect. Sorry to the 9/26/16 night staff But I hope you treat your orders the same way you'd want to receive them in the future... read more

Horrendously expensive which is no surprise for being in a casino. I got one of their chicken parm sandwiches to go. When I opened it up 5 minutes later it was ice cold. I brought it back and the cashier looked me dead in the eyes and said "what do you want me to do? We can make you another I guess." Not even an attempt at an apology. I asked for my money back which they did give me thankfully. Never going to eat there again. Too many better places I can go for food that are better for the same price. read more

It all started back in 1956 in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey and was originally known as Mike's Subs. It is an unassuming building on the side of the road, in the middle of a neighborhood. It is about 10 minutes south of Mohegan Sun. Donatello's With A Twist definitely offers a twist! They serve a wide variety of options: American breakfast, sandwiches & burgers, Puerto Rican dishes & Italian fare. Hubby enjoyed playing the free Pac-Man video game as we waited for our food. There are a couple of seats inside & a little garden outside. Most people took their food to go. There are 7 - YAAASSSSS SEVEN! - mofongo options on the menu. Ummm... yes, please! For the uninitiated, mofongo is a dish from Puerto Rico featuring plantains as its main ingredient. They are picked green, cut into pieces & typically fried, then pounded in a wooden pilón (mortar and pestle) with a variety of spices, broth & some type of cooking oil . If you are a fan of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, you know that he is a mofongo freak. I've had mofongo before & definitely enjoy it, hubby was new to the experience. We selected the Shrimp Creole Mofongo & it was spectacular. We heard the pounding of the plantains in the back as we waited for our food so I knew it was being made special for us. The mound of mofongo was flavorful, the shrimp were large & perfectly cooked in a spicy red sauce with a little salad on the side to cool things off. We also ordered the Chicharron De Pollo with Tostones. I thought it was going to be a harder fry on the chicken but the dark meat was yummi. The tostones were perfectly fried & the highlight of this dish. Hubby can't pass up a steak sandwich so he ordered a large Boricua Steak Bomb. HOLY COW! The sandwich was ginormous!!! A ton of steak with a good amount of melty cheese topped with a spicy sauce. Hubby loved it! I saw a guy order a slab of meat & I went up afterwards to inquire what it was. A perfectly fried chicharrón - fried pork belly. It was a good combination of meat, fat & crunchy bits. As a German, I was introduced to grilled schweinebauch as a kid. It is not everyone's cup of tea because of the fat content & idea of eating pig's stomach but I love it. I should have bought another one to take with me for later! Donatello's makes a number of fresh juices & we ordered the passionfruit which was a refreshingly sweet & sour combo. They also sell desserts but we were so full that I didn't even look to see what was offered. Everything was cooked well, and I enjoyed my meal. My husband got an omelet and the home fries, which were fine. We also got some of the house-made banana bread with blueberries but were disappointed that it lacked structure and was rather soggy. We toasted it up at home in slices, and that was much better. My husband said the coffee was "fine--regular diner coffee." We were frankly shocked by the prices. We are used to California restaurant prices, which are quite high--but our breakfast here was even more expensive than that. Not sure what accounts for this, as there are other breakfast places in the area that aren't quite this dear.

On way out I noted all deli stuff was being covered and closed up. Seemed awfully early for what I Thought closing time was. When I got home I looked it up and everywhere I check online says Deli open til 9:00 pm.. Here is proof. I am so done with them...so done. I don't know what has happened to Big Y but it sure is not what it used to be.
