We've gone to several Jersey Mike's locations in the last couple of years, and we've always had a good experience. Lately, I've been ordering via the app to save time at the restaurant. I completed an app order yesterday, but accidentally sent it to the Hazel Dell location instead of the one on Mill Plain. When I realized my error, I tried calling the Hazel Dell location, but got no answer. Throughout the day, I continued to call, always getting the same message saying that they were busy and I should use the app. This morning, I called the Hazel Dell location before opening hours. After explaining the situation several times, and saying that I was only looking for a refund for an order that never got picked up, they finally put a manager on the phone. The upshot is that she called me a liar. "I'll give you a refund this time, but I remember this order, and I know it got picked up." Once again, I told her that I had not picked it up, and that I had called several times yesterday to try to explain and get a refund. This is customer service? I know working in food service is awful, but it might be a little better if the manager could refrain from accusing people of lying over a $20 food order. Throughout our interaction, I was calm and polite. I certainly didn't accuse the manager of anything underhanded. If only she could have done the same. read more

As much as we like to order from J.Mikes, this location was dirty throughout. Cash register employee had time to lean thus had time to clean. Countertops had food and crumbs everywhere, knife sitting on counter had Mayo on it from previous order(not cleaned off) and used to cut another order. Floor had trash and food around tables. We stopped by the Jersey Mike's in Vancouver last night. The one we tried in Los Angeles wasn't very good, but wanted to give it another try. My son had the meatball sandwich and absolutely loved it! He found it more tasty than the one he usually gets. I asked if they had something with less carbs. The friendly young lady working the counter suggested a Mike in a Tub? You can get any sandwich without the bread in a container. I tried a club supreme. It was delicious and satisfying. Meat, cheese, and veggies with the suggested dressing . The shop is located on the corner of a strip mall. It's neat and clean and you can eat inside or out. For $2 more you can get a drink and chips. My son wants to go back for another meatball sandwich before we head back to Los Angeles! read more

I just spent $33 on two sandwiches that I had no choice on what the toppings would be. I was treated like shi$, like it was infringing on their presence, and like I was cattle. They wanted my money before the sandwiches were even started. I've called in sandwiches here before and tried to pick them up and they never even started them even after half an hour of waiting. Volume is everything here- no quality. This place has no idea what customer service is, and treat everybody like they are a problem to be charged and ushered out the door. Consistently TERRIBLE. We have ordered here several times. We always do an online order to pick up. 1. Our online order has NEVER been done at the promised time. Every single time they don't start the order until 10-30minutes after you arrive and ask for it. I have never waited less than 10 minutes for a pre-order. I have often watched people who walk in get their sandwiches before me, even though the staff knows I am there waiting for an online order. 2. Every single time they have messed up the orders. Putting on things that were specifically excluded or forgetting things that should be there. For example, tonight I ordered a beef and provolone wrap. Two major items. That's all. Guess what? NO provolone! How difficult can it be to remember two major items? Especially when I watched the kid build my wrap, saw no cheese, asked about it, and was reassured " yeah, there is cheese". 3. When I have complained I was offered credit for a future sandwich. But when you order online there is not a provision to take advantage of that. Worthless. 4. The meat has absolutely no flavor. My beef tonight might as well have been replicated. Absolutely no flavor. 5. This location has really ineffective management. Lots of employees all trying to do everything. It seems that no one is trained well in any one aspect of the job. You know what they say about " jack of all trades, master of none" right? See it in action here. They need to visit the Chipotle nearby to see how to do things right. I have deleted their app, and we will never visit them again. Every single order has been delayed or wrong, and the meat is terrible to boot. Try Jimmy John's nearby instead. Way better service and quality of food. read more

Normally I would give them a decent rating. This is what I sent as a complaint to the franchise. Yes, I'm upset! " I ordered ahead in order to save time and to keep my wife and dog from spending time in the heat. When I got there, there was a line out the door waiting to order. I checked in and they said it was being made. It was pickup time. After seeing the people that were waiting outside to order leaving with their orders, I asked again and was told they were making it. WHAT AN INSULT!!!!! I ordered ahead and they made sandwiches for the people in line FIRST, before honoring online orders. Other online clients also had to complain and wait up to 30 minutes after the promised delivery. 25 minutes after the promised time and two complaints later, I received my order. I waited 20 minutes to politely ask when my order was going to be ready. At the 25 minute point I told them the people who were outside waiting to order left with their orders. We always love our sandwiches and service here. One night it was extra chaotic, like a complete mess with all the uber orders and normal dinner rush hour, our sandwiches got messed up, they forgot one all together, but they were genuinely apologetic and took the time to make it right. After we finished our meal, the manager or owner (unsure of his role, but he seems to really care about the customers, staff and quality which is so wonderful) apologized to us and gave us two free subs for next time to make it up. It was such a kind gesture and has brought use back more times than I can count just because he showed he cared. Love this sandwich shop. read more

Horrid customer service. Their sandwiches are actually really good; the quality is much better than Subway and Jimmy John's. The complaint I have is with the customer service at the Hazel Dell location; I would suggest you go to a different location. My husband and I ordered on their app for curbside pick-up, and when he arrived at the given time no one came out to the car. After 10 minutes he went inside and waited with the many others waiting for their orders as well. He ended up waiting 45-50 minutes for our two sandwiches. That was frustrating in itself, but what made it even worse was that people were walking in and ordering and getting their food right away while him and several people stood there and waited who had ordered way ahead of them. SO frustrating and horrible customer service. The staff didn't handle it well and weren't nice even though everyone was being understanding and kind. (By the way, they had plenty of staff). Also, I mentioned the issue in an app feedback and the manager (I think) emailed me saying sorry and he would like to refund me, and never did. I'm picky with my subs. I don't eat at subway or Quiznos. Jimmy johns is subpar. I would rather make my own at home because I like my sandwiches to be fresh and a lot of sub places have mediocre quality ingredients like stale bread or wilted lettuce. This place is the only sub place nearby that I will eat at. In fact it's the only sandwich place that sounds appealing when my husband asks if sandwiches are okay for dinner. I have been to a number of their shops and have never had anything to complain about. But these guys at this shop can not seem to get it right! I ordered 2 items to go 1 hot and 1 cold while they were making the hot one I watched them make the cold one and paid for both and when the hot one was ready they came and handed me a bag with both subs in the bag. When I got home I was surprised to find the cold sub was a kids sub with nothing on it and I mean nothing. I called them to let them know about the error and their response was " Yeah we just found out and if you want to come back we have your sub here for you!" Unbelievable! Terrible service. I watched the manager, who was cooking, pull out too many philly steaks. He started to cook them and realized he had too many so he put the one back in the cooler. This was after it was on the grill for at least a minute. He cross contaminated everything in that cooler. I was horrified. I haven't been back and I don't plan on going back. I have been looking for a Philly steak sandwich, Jersey Mike's did there thing . Thanks to the team

First time customer, the older man at the meat counter was, well let's say he did not want to be there. We told him we were new and he just pointed at the menu on the wall. I should have walked out right away. My wife asked what the breads were and he seemed, let's say, put out that he had to tell her the 3 different breads, the meat was tasteless, and so thin you could see thru it! And one slice of each. The cheese was the same, how you can slice thinner than paper thin is amazing in it self. Then the condiments, or lack of, they pile angel hair lettuce on to make the sandwich seem larger, and no mayonnaise or mustard? Only oil and did I detected a hint of vinegar in there? On top of over priced, and just plain tasteless, I will not go back. Cheap meat, and work on your customer service, would not recommend just because of the way we were treated, definitely would not eat there, tired of places cutting corners. read more

I'll start with this, the food was really good and I will be going back. However the service was a bit strange and took a long time. I placed a pick up order at 7:48 my email said it would be ready at 8:10 so I got there a few minutes before. I walked under the pick up area and waited to be greeted, or even aknowledged, but I wasn't. Another lady was standing by me who looked like she was waiting for her food too she went and sat down and eventually her name got called. I figured this must be the way they do pickups or hand out sandwiches so I sat down too. I waited about 20 minutes and was just about to get up to say something to an employee when the manager looks over to me and asks what I needed basically I told him I had a pickup he walked over said something to the girl on the grill and grabbed my sandwich he said sorry about the wait and I responded with something about me not knowing what the protocol was for a pickup having never been there before, and I was expecting an explanation of what I should do next time but just got a yeah could you just sign this receipt for me? I have been both to the Jersey Mikes on Hayden Island and Vancouver. The one in Vancouver seems to hire people that can not get a job at any other fast food place. Yesterday I went to get a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. I asked that the cheese be blended into the meat like the onions and peppers because they usually just lay it on top and it oozes over the top of the bun. First of all the woman who took the order got the wrong number and I had to correct that. I watched as they made my sandwich and as usual they just laid the cheese on top and it oozed out the bun. I told them that I had asked to have the cheese mixed in and they again said OK, but again I watched them, and they just laid it on top, After two attempts to get my sandwich the way I wanted I just got my money back and left. Why is it a person getting a ham sandwich can get a half dozen things added to their sandwich the way they want, but if I ask twice to get my sandwich the way I want it doesn't happen. I like the food but I am tired of putting up with people who just won't listen to what you want. I won't go back. read more
