I've tried the French dip as well. They could've added some more meat to it. It felt like a giant bread sandwich with au jus. Service is hit or miss as well, but I try not to attack anyone working food jobs as it's not easy and you never know what the customer was like before me so no hate on them. Maybe the franchise's should post that the establishment is NOT accepting this coupon. The owner did reach out and explained how his team is trained to look for counterfeit coupons, money, etc. Is that wrong? No. Was I wrong for giving a bad rating? Maybe too quick to judge. When my blood sugar is low, I can be caught up in my feelings. I really enjoy a hot pastrami from Subway. I was really looking forward to it and all I got was "air." Typically you see more than one person working the drive-thru line, but today it was all her with no help. Get it together management, get this girl some help. This location is pretty busy, as it's hard to really get quick service most of the day because there's just so many people here. The workers seem to do a pretty quick job, but just too many people at most times. Not their fault, but just not great for people working with less time for a meal. I won't comment on the menu or anything since it's the same as other locations, price wise, it's always going to be one of the more reasonable options. With all that in mind, let's get down to the food now. The burgers here which I've had a couple of times in my recent re-experience of this In-N-Out location has been good. The burgers were all cooked perfectly, and no issues at all with its flavor, how well it's cooked, and everything else. However, the fries here seem to be worse than they used to be for some reason. I'm not sure why, but I used to be able to at least enjoy the fries back then years back in animal style, but these new fries, I can't seem to get it to actually taste even reasonably enjoyable anymore. Even if I go well done, it still is the same issue. Definitely feels like somethings dropped off with the fries, but at least the burgers are still great, but just know that the wait at this location is going to be over the top for some, particularly if you just want burger and fries.

I dipped them into what I quickly learned is Dave's famous, highly coveted sauce, and the combination was absolutely delicious. I'm not a big bread person and I'm notorious for deconstructing my sandwiches, so I took the chicken from the slider--more like an oversized, juicy chicken tender than a nugget--dipped it in the sauce, and paired it with the fries. It was the perfect bite every time. I ordered the #4 meal, which comes with two small sliders and fries. The sliders are served with slaw, pickles, kale slaw, and Dave's sauce unless you customize them. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without being too heavy. We had to have an order of fries and had it half sweet potato and half traditional. We were given cups for water without needing to ask. Nice! The wait wasn't long and the amount of fries is really impressive. We preferred the sweet potato fries because they had some more crispiness on the outside and were seasoned more. I enjoyed my burger and grateful for the knife and fork because it quickly became messy to eat. Hubby enjoyed his burger because of the generous toppings and bun. Then there were 2 separate sections for extra meat and extra ingredients, and those were required too, and both came with additional charges!!! If I don't want extra meat or extra ingredients, I should be able to leave those options blank and still place my order. But I couldn't proceed to place my order if I didn't select those. I ended up trying to go with the $17 option instead with minimal customization options. I eventually just placed the order, went to the store, and picked it up. As for the sandwich itself, it was pretty standard in size and the quality was decent, but there really wasn't much going on inside. It was basically just bread, meat, and cheese. There weren't even any vegetables! No lettuce whatsoever. I thought that was really weird for a sandwich to be very bare like this, especially given that the final total cost was $19 for a single sandwich from a small deli. I usually order the cod sandwich, and they assured me that it's not cooked in tallow, actually they said it's cooked in olive oil which I'm not sure is correct, but at any rate I didn't taste any beef fat and it was delicious. Also, I have enjoyed their shakes made with cashew milk in the past, but now they use something different, and they still taste pretty good. What the employees on duty told me conflicts with the website, but they said this location uses Oatley oat milk, and they actually showed me the carton to prove it. Now for the service, the man taking my order seemed new as he didn't know much, but was able to answer my questions by asking the manager on duty, which I appreciated. Also he got my shake order wrong but apologized multiple times and got me the correct one. Since I couldn't order fries or onion rings I wanted a side salad, but unfortunately they were out of it! So a questionable experience overall, and I may choose to dine somewhere different next time as there are many restaurants in this strip-mall location, plus Whole Foods across the street. All of the doors were propped open, making the store feel like an oven. When I asked an employee if the A/C was working, they insisted that it was. If that's true, then why were all the doors open? The heat made it extremely uncomfortable to enjoy a meal inside the restaurants, and it felt like customer comfort wasn't being taken seriously. In weather this hot, having a functioning air conditioner isn't a luxury--it's a necessity.
