i've lived in the area and never visited this place for obvious reasons. my dentist recommended this place as his favorite falafel place. unfortunately, i didn't think it was that great. flavor was a bit underwhelming. and nobody likes soggy balls. dentist fail. some of the other salad bar options looked great though, and i may try a platter in the future, if i'm feeling too lazy to go across the bridge to mamoun's. and yeah.. it's definitely an interesting cultural experience. almost like a comedy skit of stereotypical jew'isms. i'm a repeat offender shiksa, so i can say such things... Ate here today. I had a slice of pizza. This place must use the cheapest mozzarella cheese you can buy. The cheese looks like plastic after the pizza cools. It reminds me of Dominos pizza except more expensive. This place also sells hot food. I had the fried fish. The breading on the fish was thicker than the actually cut of the fish. It was gross. I also had the tuna salad. It looked good until they served it and I noticed it was drowned in mayo. In the tray that they have it sitting in, the tuna is all on the top so it looks like it has a lot of tuna it in; WRONG. After they serve you, you notice that thats where all the Tuna is on top, everything underneath is pasta and mayo. Really nasty. Taste wise, it tasted like mayo, if you like mayo then you'll like it but lets be real, I like mayo, but I wanted a tuna salad, not pasta with mayo! The only tihng I give them is the vegetarian options as far as the variety of salads. It looks fresh but honestly, how can you mess up a salad?!?!? I felt like returnin the whole thing but instead, i left the tuna salad, stopped eating the fish, and left part of the pizza. The only thing I ate was the salad - like I said, you can't really mess up a salad. I walked out and left the food on the table, maybe they got the message but honestly I didn't feel comfortable asking for a refund. Price wise, they OVER CHARGE for their less than mediocre meal!!! Overall: I WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN. Be warned, there are so many good places to eat in Highland Park...skip this place and save some money and have a way better meal and eat at another place!!! read more

No stars at all. The pizza was mediocre and under cooked. I picked up an order and was charged $19.26 for a large pie that is listed on the website for $10.95. They repeatedly asked for my last name which I was confused by. I will NOT be returning ever. Not at all happy, not recommended. read more

I had their pizza during a town event. I went in for a slice and wasn't impressed. I actually didn't finish eating it and moved on to another place to get something else. The service was good I suppose. No better or worse than the average pizza joint. But the pizza was noticeably worse. Normally pizza has a line that can't be broken. Even bad pizza is acceptable. We always go here for pizza when we're in the Highland Park/Edison area. The veggie pizza is so good! They don't just dump raw veggies on a regular pie and heat it up, like some places.. The veggies are cooked a bit and actually adhere to the pizza while you eat it. What a concept! The pizza maker, who makes all the pies himself, is polite and will sometimes offer to make you a fresh pie from scratch in front of you, if you order a whole pie, without you even asking him. This place has some pretty good falafel however the rest of the food that i have tried wasnt that good. I have eaten their knishes they are very dry and lack any taste, their soups while they claim they are homemade taste like they came right out of a can. I was there when a lady with her 2 grandchildren and witnessed her grandson climbing all over the table that they were going to eat at, with his feet all over the table. I have been here 3 times to give it a chance, but wouldnt go out of my way to go back. the food often doesnt look fresh,. and the pizza which is supposed to be their signature item, it looks old and not fresh at all dont bother with this place, there is much better out there read more

Mediocre is how I'd summarize the food here. Side dishes were taken directly from the freezer and put in the deep fryer. Pizza was the best option but just OK.
