    Chilaquiles Molcajete for 2

My husband and I moved here from Georgia and we have struggled to find a good Mexican restaurant. We both agree that this is the best we've had in the area. It is so good. We shared a molcajete and still had leftovers. It doesn't look like much driving by, but it is super cute inside. There is also a tienda, which we loved and was very well stocked. Their menu is absolutely massive as well.

    Flautas, so good!

The food and service were great. Love the chips and salsa. Cute place with a small marker.

I went to Jessy's last night. If you haven't been lately...it's been totally renovated and looks amazing! The staff there are the best in OV. I tried something off of the Ramen menu. I've been waiting till there was a chill in the air to order this. I saw the new ramen menu during the summer and I couldn't bring myself to order hot soup. I love traditional ramen so I was excited to try this version. There are a few options to choose from, or you can have a customized soup. I went with the Birria. It was SO good. I also had guacamole, queso, beans, and salsa with their excellent chips. I will be back to try the chicken ramen, and the carnitas fries ramen! Jessy's keeps getting better.

    Tacos! All so good!

Yum! Was down the street and needed a little snack so stopped here and was not disappointed! Place-it looks like it is currently being renovated so sat outside in a little area they still had open and covered. They also were coming right there so kind of fun and a unique experience! Service-Extremely nice and friendly. Also pretty quick too! Food-Delicious, fresh and authentic! The carnitas, shredded beef, steak, and Al pastor tacos all were so good! We were also there on taco Tuesday so buy one get one free, which is a great deal! Salsa and chips were really good! I like that it was a thicker chip and the salsa was also super fresh! Will return for sure when in the area!

Jessy's hits the spot again and again. We love bringing friends and family here when they're in town and everyone always loves the experience. Out of all their locations, this is our favorite. We love the attached store with all of the gorgeous pastries and Mexican items. Chips and salsa: amazing. We don't love that it isn't unlimited, but the $5 is reasonable. Their guacamole and queso are also both great, so we typically indulge in those, as well. I always get the lengua tacos and a chile relleno. Both are incredible. I also love their refried beans. My husband gets the mole enchiladas every single time and never waivers. Overall, awesome spot.

Very authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. I really enjoyed the horchata that I asked for 3 of them. I usually don't drink that much liquid. If you have never tried it, I suggest you try it here. I also really enjoyed the birria. It was pretty expensive, but it was very worth the 3 tacos and birria soup though. We got here around 7:30pm, so most of the crowd has gone, and the service was a little slow. There is also a cute little shop inside next to the dining area for mexican pastries and candy. There are adequate spaces to park in the parking lot.

Our Yelp Elite manager works there and had told me to come by, so I decided that was the night. I grabbed a glass of Moscato while we chatted, and she convinced me to order their hot honey pepperoni pizza to take home. I had literally just had pizza the night before at another event, so I wasn't planning on getting more, but she insisted I try it. I'm so glad I did. I'm not usually someone who goes for hot honey or anything spicy, but this pizza was incredible. The crust was perfectly cooked, the dough had great texture, and the balance between the sweetness of the honey and the pepperoni was surprisingly addictive. It was cheesy, flavorful, and honestly hard to stop eating. I had planned to take it straight home, but I had to sneak a bite while it was still hot. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it's such a great neighborhood spot. It made for the perfect stop during a beautiful evening walk. I ended up taking the rest of the pizza home, and it was the perfect dinner while relaxing and winding down for the night. I'll definitely be back, especially now that I know how good their pizza is. Bold Mariner is a great local place with good energy and seriously good food.

It was challenging to find parking but thankfully, we were able to find a spot right in the front. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were seated right away. With it being lunch time, we assumed we would be able to grab some lunch but to our surprise, they were serving brunch and we were only able to order off the brunch menu. We were slightly confused and definitely didn't have taste for breakfast items so we had to choose from a small selection of non-breakfast items. We started with Palomas. The drink menu only included the drink prices for Happy Hour, and it definitely wasn't Happy Hour, so we weren't sure how much the drinks were. The server mentioned one price, then came back and told us another price but either way, all that would've been eliminated if the prices were on the menu. After looking over the brunch menu, my friend didn't see anything appetizing so she asked if they could make a BLT Sandwich, which wasn't on the menu, and they agreed. I decided on the Crab Cake Sandwich. The food was served in decent time. My friend had an end piece of tomato on her sandwich, which was disappointing. Our server took her sweet time checking on us so and we literally had to flag down another server just to get ketchup. My sandwich didn't even come with remoulade sauce that was supposed to be added. I did enjoy my sandwich though, it was very tasty. I also ordered the Bourbon Glaze Wings 'to-go' and they were delicious. From not being able to order from a lunch menu, to our server not being attentive at all, our experience wasn't that great. We also had to battle flies the entire time we were there, and we were sitting inside so that was a bit frustrating. The restaurant is located right by the Marina and it has great views but the service left a lot to be desired. I may return for dinner in hopes of a better experience but it probably won't be any time soon.

Also very clean. I don't know if our server was new or just zoned out. We ordered a half house salad and a half Caesar. I really like that they offer half sizes. When our server picked it up at the window, she asked the cook which one was the Caesar (odd?), but then said she answered her own question. And she promptly brought us 2 house salads. You see, she answered her own question because she has to get the dressings from a case out front. We pointed out that my Hubby had ordered the half Caesar salad, not a house salad with Caesar dressing. She apologized and said that was on her. No worries at that point. It happens. Then the large 16in pizza that we ordered came out. And....I asked is this the 16"? And she replied, "Oh I rang it in as a personal because that was what you said." No it wasn't, and she even repeated our order back to us. So again - zoned out or new? The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. The salads were fresh for the most part (though the cucumber on mine had seen better days). The dressing seems to be out of a jar. The crust on the personal pizza was way thicker than we prefer. Think the old Pizza Hut personal pan pizza. Not sure we'll be back.

It was a wonderful event in an equally wonderful space. The music was on point, as well as the volume level. It was loud enough to enjoy the music, yet low enough that you could hold a conversation without screaming to hear each other. Though there weren't many people in the restaurant at all, the kitchen was really backed up and it took a long time for our food to come out. This didn't make sense at all honestly, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Didn't get to snap a picture, but they had a decent little amount of arcade games inside, which was pretty cool; wasn't expecting to see those in there. Also one of the dessert items I wanted to try: the salted caramel brownie, was out of stock, so I did have to change my dessert choice; unfortunately. To drink: I got the Watermelon Limeade (8.5/10) it was easy to drink, honestly just tasted like a fruity soda with a very tiny buzz to it. I would've liked it a bit more if it was a little stronger. Also tried the Dirty Berry Mojito (10/10) I absolutely loved the flavor of this Mojito and it was a lot stronger than the limeade. Def had a buzz after finishing it. After I was done, felt like I should've really just ordered two of the mojitos only. To eat: I got half Strawbenero BBQ (9/10) and half Spicy Garlic Ranch (6.5/10) boneless wings. The strawberry-habanero mix wings were really different and unique. When I first bit into them, I tasted the strawberry glaze and after a few more chews, that's when the spice settled in. I think it was different and actually pretty good. As for the spicy garlic ranch wings, I feel like they really tasted like regular buffalo sauce wings. I'm not sure if the kitchen mixed up what flavors I ordered, but they def tasted like regular buffalo and not anything garlicky or ranch flavor. Also did a side order of the loaded tots (2/10) the tots were cooked nice and crispy, but the loaded toppings had absolutely no flavor. There was chilli and cheese and after even giving the chilli a taste by itself, there was truly no seasoning in it at all. I wouldn't order this again. Also got dessert: the Cracker Jack Cheesecake (10/10) cheesecake is my favorite dessert, and I love the toppings of caramel and toffee; pretty sure it was supposed to have a chocolate drizzle on it, but the caramel was really good so no complaints. I totally see myself going back again, their hotdogs on the menu looked really really good and I would like to try some more of their unique wing flavors. My overall rate of experience : 7.7/10
