When traveling to the Chi town area this is one of my favorite pizza places. While I've only ordered from here 8-9 times, I have at least a dozen at each of the Jets in the area. The pizza is always a cut above. It's the consistency. I order the same double mushroom-double cheese and it just how I expect it and enjoy it. They also serve an excellent Detroit style pizza replica and their square pizza is to die for. Try the thin crust and the wings. My friends order that from time to time and ole' Steven E sneaks his share of their pie, thank you! I'm not a fan of the cinnamon sticks, everyone else in my party raves about them. That means you better tack-on an order. Keep in mind when you eat Detroit style deep dish...it's gonna be greasy. That's the situ. That's where the flavour is! I've read a few reviews that have a star or two shaved off for this. That's actually a mistake. Just a note on the service. These kids are fast and friendly. It's a machine. A well oiled machine. Like another Detroit legend, Henry Ford and his assembly line, these guys are efficient and accurate. I'm borrowing the plan from Peter S. and copying/pasting this across more than one location (Lombard, Arlington and both Wheeling sites), as they are exact and equal in their craft. Small restaurant right off Lake Cook Rd that serves Detroit style square pizza at reasonable prices. This is my typical alternative to Lou's or Giordano's pizza if I need to carryout around this area. However, the pizza here isn't consistently assembled well, at times slightly overdone, and can be quite greasy. When prepared well however, this can be almost as good as much pricier options of this style of pizza. It's overall very bready and depends on crisping up the edges, crust, and cheese to stand out for texture. But, at the same time the pizza can be a bit greasy for some people and there's nothing really special about the toppings. read more

This is how my pizza arrived The Grub Hubb driver had the pizza in his warming bag turned on its side. As you can see from the photo all of the toppings have slid to one side. Not sure why the driver wouldn't keep a pizza flat. Pretty sure I won't do this again. The pizza tasted great after I moved the toppings back in place. read more

This Jets is under new management. Based on that information, I decided to give it a try. I called for a pick up. The phone was answered by a surly young man. He answered the phone by saying hey. I had to ask if I was calling Jets pizza. I then had to ask him to take my order. He did , without even asking my name. I asked how long it would be for my pick up. He said 20 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes later to be told there weren't ANY pizzas on order! At dinner time? The clerk suggested that I called the wrong number. The front person asked if I could wait 7 minutes for a pizza. While waiting, I decided to re-dial the number. As soon as I did, I could hear a phone ringing in the back. Pizza isn't bad. Service stinks! To the new management, you need to train your employees or get ones. I might return one more time. We'll see. Sad that a neighborhood place won't have a chance to succeed. read more

Horrible horrible horrible why must I be punished by the pizza gods in such a manner?? The awesome picture in the ad! The amazing coupon! I was really expecting something special. But no... I repeat! The pizza was not good, not even passable. Maybe it was because it arrived semi-cold. The toppings were generic, the cheese was tasteless, the sauce was the worst part, no taste. To add another slap to the insult the "hot wings" I ordered were neither hot in the spicy sense nor hot in the temperature sense so it was an all around failure. Apparently this location is closed, with no idea if or when it will re-open. We've been trying to contact someone to find out, but no definite answer. We'd desperately love one of these closer to us, but this Jet's was always super awesome. The ranch dressing for their salad was off the chain, and the 8 corner pizza is the work of angels. This is not a particular review for this Jets pizza location but for the franchise in general. If you've never tried jets pizza, please do so soon. They have the most delicious crusts on thier pies. It's like biting into heaven. If you're a fan of breadsticks, more so cheesy breadsticks, you'll love their Turbo Sticks. It's their version of three cheese breadsticks. What's nice is that you can get all extra condamints for free (extra marinara, ranch and garlic butter) unlike some places that charge you extra. read more

Terrible customer service. Ordered via Slice. One pizza was completely missing and the one pizza that was sent was wrong. When we called to inquire about the pizza and the order, the worker (Jet's Pizza) blamed the order going wrong on how it printed from Slice. She was cursing in the background about how far we live and then told us that the delivery for the correct order would take an additional 90 minutes. Been here a few times...I wish they had seating...like booths. My experience with eah visit is always pleasant and professional...maybe if people talk to the taller guy who is always serious mistake that for not being social...but even though it doesn't seem busy....they are with call ins for pickup or delivery. Place itself is small on front but prep area is huge and usually bustling. I have only had the Jets Boat...but I hear a lot about the square frep dish I may have to try. read more

It's Jet's!! I've had numerous Detroit-style pan pizzas from three different Jet's Pizza locations, and they all rock my mouth. I love love LOVE their crust, and every pizza - regardless of toppings - is cooked to crunchy/chewy Motor City square perfection. They're very generous with toppings, and evenly distribute everything so each bite is great. Another great thing about Jet's is that their pizzas have been consistent from order to order, and store to store... I'm literally copying-and-pasting this review between all three locations I've tried so far (Wheeling, Arlington Heights, and Lombard). In almost any other case, I wouldn't dream of such a thing, but all three of these locations' 8-corner pizzas have been flawless. In addendum; the Jet's cheesy-garlic bread and boneless chicken bites from the Wheeling location were also quite delicious. read more

Yeah. Ordered a large order (4 pizzas) for my team as a treat for lunch. Put my order in on-line at 9:00 am and needed it delivered at 11:45 am for lunch. Pizza showed up at 1:30. That is 1h 45 min late! I called the manager and got hung up on after holding for 14 min. Finally got through and she said she would give me a $20 off coupon. She gave excuses from the lettuce was bad and had to send the driver out to get more lettuce all they way to she had to call her manager in on her day off. Useless, as I will never order pizza from here again. I am a Detroit native and want to see this place do well, but this store is awful. Ordered online and was charged! Nobody is there to pick up the phone and to top it off I just found out they aren't even open. Why would their site direct ppl to order online when it's no longer open!! So update I reached out to The Corporate Office to get the funds returned to me directly since my bank said it would take up 60 days before they would refund me. I got one response saying they would help and then they went completely silent. Very Good pizza for a chain place. I feel bad for always thinking this was like a papa Johns or one of those.....Your ingredients are quality, your prices are higher, however Always fresh and they don't disappoint. I tried their NY style and it was damn good. Perfect crust and flop. I recommend this place, over all pizza chains. Now in competition with some of the famous mom and pop they still have a chance with the succulent 8 corner pizza and NY style. I love Jets Pizza. I've eaten the pan pizza over a dozen times, and the cinnamon sticks as often as I can. It is owner operated and the staff has been incredibly friendly from day 1. The ingredients are all a step above the mass chains; the sauce has a little more spice/thickness to it, the pepperoni has some flavor to it, and the cheese is plentiful. The pan crust is delicious. Greasy and buttery, but it has a little crispy crunch. The cinnamon sticks are the best in the business - lots of cinnamon and sugar and you get more than Dominos, for only $3.99. Jet's has a lunch special for $5. They will run 2 large slices (about 1/3 of a large pan pizza) through the oven to heat them up for you, plus you get a 20 oz. pop. Let's not kid ourselves - this is not a substitute for more expensive, high-end pizza like a stuffed Lou's pizza. I think we can agree that there are several niche markets for pizza, and Jet's competes with the takeout/delivery chains. After all, the pizzas are often only $9.99 for a large one topping. If you just want a straight up pizza, and you want to graduate from Little Caesars/Dominos/Pizza Hut, then I think you will like Jet's. read more

Jets pizza was the last pizza I allowed myself before taking the plunge into a full Paleo lifestyle. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I drive by this place a lot, so one day I stopped in to try it. The area has numerous pizza places with many different types and styles, so there's no shortage of great pizza to be had. The place is take-out only and not having been there, I tried to get an overview of what their pizza was like from the order-taker on the phone. He wasn't really helpful, so I ordered a large sausage pizza. It was around $12 and kind of small and dry. Nothing special at all. So somebody ordered Jet's for a work lunch...I feel like I was just introduced to crack in the form of doughy, saucy, buttery, cheesy goodness. Everyone has their own favorite kind of pizza-and Jet's deep dish is currently mine. The closest comparison I would make is Pizza Hut, just a million times better. The top of the crust is real doughy but the bottom and edges are a beautiful buttery crispiness. The edges are extra awesome because the cheese gets over there and is all crispy and delicious. It's no Chicago deep dish or a greasy thin slice, but it's in it's very own category of deliciousness. This location has completely lost a loyal customer. They used to be on top of things but something has taken a turn for the worse over there. It started a few weeks ago. I placed an online order and was given a delivery time of around 6:30. After my delivery time came and went, I called the location to inquire. They said it would be there "any minute." Seemed reasonable to me. Another 15-20 minutes go by so I call again. The manager I spoke with was super surprised and promptly figured out what was going. Turns out the order never went out at all. The woman apologized profusely and also gave me a credit for a future order. The current order showed up eventually and because the manager was so so helpful, I was pretty satisfied with how it shook out. Fast forward to today and I call the store to get my credited meal. I'm put on hold for 6 minutes and was then hung up on. I call back (things happen) and am told that an order was already placed for my address. After assuring them I didn't, they said they see my credit on my account and everything is fine....except I have to pay the delivery fee. Now the delivery fee is no large amount but I questioned why a credit for a free meal because of a previous screw up would require me to shoulder the delivery fee. He said it "doesn't go to the driver" and "is used to pay insurance and stuff" like this explained it. I kind of chuckled and said fine whatever. Well, the order arrives and only half of it is there. I call the store and the guy says they can send the missing part but who knows when it will get there. No apology or anything. He seemed annoyed that I even was bringing this to his attention. I then ask to speak to the manager to which he responds he is the manager. I then ask to speak to the owner and he says they are never around. Seems like maybe there is a bigger issue here. This is where I kind of lose it and recap my experience here bringing the delivery fee up again. He responds he does not make the decisions and it will take 45 minutes to an hour to bring the missing order out period. Unfortunately the quality of the food, while good, is not out of this world enough to make me want to put up with a series of unfortunate events every time we place an order for a pizza. There are plenty of other options around with adequate customer service. Update: took over an hour for the corrected order to arrive. Still missing part of it. Had been calling them around the hour mark anyways and nobody was picking up. Seems like this location is just tanking and giving up. read more

there's another jets in lakeforest that is much better I ordered a 8 corner crust pizza (the best) and some cheesy bread, cause the cheese on the crust is amazing. basically they f'd my order, because they were supposed to put flavorings in the pan but instead put it on top. I called to complain and some confused lady answered. she seemed like she didnt know what to do, but after being on hold for a few minutes she said they would remake it free on my next order. a few days later i order again and give them the managers name for my free order, but the guy kinda laughed and said that person doesn't work there and they wont honor the deal. i told them what happened and said if they dont do something i just wont go there again. he just laughed and said he couldnt do anything, so i said fine they lost a customer. thing is that this location used to be really good, but they definitely got new employees and since then the quality has gone down a lot, this was the last straw. theres another jets in lakeforest that is much better. read more

I've recently started eating Jet's pizza more often after I discovered the square deep dish pizza.... oh so good, it's like a pizza hut pan pizza. what's even better is they have Jet's bread which is almost exactly like Papa John's cheesy bread and the garlic butter sauce to go with it. oh soo unhealthy, but oh so good. the people working there are also top notch. super nice to me and very willing to help me out. I accidentally ordered the round thin crust pizza (yuck!), which was clearly my fault, but the guy offered to make the deep dish square pizza for me instead at no cost. he even let me take the round pizza home to compare and contrast for free! and yea, the thin crust round pizza still sucks... sorry. but I'm definitely a fan of the deep dish square with the turbo crust (garlic butter and Parmesan sprinkled on the crust) and the Jet's bread with garlic butter sauce. read more

I usually do not provide feedback on my visit as in the past I have nothing but a great experience. However, tonight was different. I ordered my food before 7 pm and expected by 7:30 pm my pizza would be ready. When I arrived, greeted by a very pleasant young lady who picked up my order and realized it was never cooked. I waited for the next 38 minutes until I finally left the store with my three items. By far the worst pizza in the northwest suburbs. The staff is a bunch of clowns that have no idea. I order pizza for a large party. We ordered the Hawaiian deep dish pizza. It was really good and surprisingly filling. They were very generous with the toppings. The Canadian bacon was giant squares and it had plenty of pineapple and tons of cheese. I would have never seen this place just driving by. The location is a tiny hole in the wall place and the sign is the size of a sheet of paper. Their waiting area is about the size of a hallway. I placed my order online and it was ready in 15 minutes. The lady at the counter was polite and friendly. The pizzas good if you're looking to try some new pizza. This place used to be great when it first opened not sure what happened. Placed an order for pickup, was told 20 min, arrived after 20 mins and the pizza wasn't even started. I was told "it was just called in" when I got the receipt it clearly showed it had been 20min since calling. Do yourself a favor, save your money and get a frozen pizza, it's as good or better. I was pleased when Jets opened up in the crappy strip mall on Lake Cook Road. Soon after I relocated to the neighborhood several restaurants, and bars closed down. Then Jets came in. My wife and I ate there quite often. I wasn't in love with their pizza but thought it was worth the price. Jet's store guest addresses, past orders and running totals in their system. Trust me I am a restaurant guy I know how it works. On this particular incident I ordered food for delivery. One thing that has always disturbed me is that Jet's charges you for blue cheese when you get wings. I understand charging for extra but, in my opinion, its like charging for mustard on a hot dog or dressing with your salad. So Anyway, we ordered wings and a pizza. I ordered extra blue cheese, he informed me that it would cost me and I said I was aware. I feel like it is not necessary to be all negative. Thus here comes the positive. The delivery was fast. Upon receiving my pizza and wings I noticed there was no blue cheese with my wings. Not even the extra I just paid for. As selfish as this sounds they were for my wife and she said she didn't mind so I said fine, but its just principal. I sit down to eat my pizza and find a long hair in it. Now I'm upset. When I called jet's to inform them of my experience they were just rude. Telling me that they were certain there was blue cheese and they weren't so sure about the hair. I started the call about the BC so I am sure by the time I got done venting about that, the manager assumed I was another Joe Dirt who likes to complain. In no way did he offer to fix the problem. I paid with cash and wanted a refund he said they don't do refunds. I was really shocked. I have never eaten there again. I know I am not their only customer, but they lost a loyal customer. If I know anything about restaurants, and I think I do. If you cant keep the customers you have, how do you expect to gain new ones? read more

Absolutely love their two slice special. Two slices, and a drink for $5.50 is a good deal around here and the pizza is pretty filling being Detroit style. You can usually walk right in and in a few minutes have your slices ready to go. Perfect for a quick lunch or when you are in a hurry. read more
