I stopped in shortly before closing on 5/21 to see if they had any slices left. The gentleman working informed me that there was one slice left, but that it was kind of dry. He said I could have the slice for free if I was hungry. Incredibly thoughtful gesture. There's plenty of Rosati's around but I'll go out of my way to eat here after this. I gave it a two star this time because I had one of those local flavors certificate value for $30 and the expiration date is 8.4.2023! It is under new management and the owner didn't honor it! Also, today I ordered a pizza with sausage but when I picked it up, it had no sausage! Thank goodness I checked before I got home! 1-star review I went to Rosati's in Vernon Hills, not realizing it was under new management--and I wish I hadn't. I ordered a deep dish sausage pizza, and unfortunately, it was barely edible. The crust was undercooked and doughy, the sauce was more like soup--watery, runny, and an odd pink color. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

If pizza is pizza, you may dig it for what it is, though not memorable. Slices are available daily and slice combos are an option during weekday lunches. These come with a drink. Their pizza is okay. I ordered a large with a bunch of toppings and thought it satisfied but nothing to brag about. I was a little surprised at the cook time, they quoted 45 minutes for a thin crust pizza. I assume they added extra time in case they couldn't get it out in time. Just one thing, don't order the "meatballs" topping. It isn't really a meatball but crumbles you're not going to see on your pizza. Also.. I had asked about their giardiniera, I wondered whether it sits in olive oil or soybean oil. Last night I ordered some delivery pizza from a place new to me. The lady I talked to, Hailey, was very friendly, accurate and upbeat ---bravo! We ordered an 18" XL Bacon and Pineapple Thin crust pizza (for my better half, and guest---Blanca) and I got Jumbo Hot Wings with Bleu Cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection...cheesy, adequately topped pizza and crispy, perfectly sauced wings. The delivery driver arrived quickly, masked like a anti- Covid bandito, and exchanged the goods, touch-free. The leftovers will go far for lunch tomorrow---who doesn't like cold pizza? My experience with Rosati's was very good...actually exemplary, for a Chicago franchise. We used to order from here every week. Over $60+ dollars not including tip and tax for 2 people. We really wanted to give this place more stars because they do have a couple good items. Mainly their salads and dessert. However, everything else has been lacking flavor. Garlic bread? - all we got was Italian bread with a swipe of oil? and maybe some kind of seasoning. Terrible aftertaste. The dough bites used to be good but lately they're coming plain without the garlic and Parmesan topping and half were hard as a rock and the other half undercooked. Boneless wings? Let's just keep those off the menu. It was mainly a thick coating of salty breading and a ton of sauce! Also, they forgot to add my dipping sauce that I had to pay extra for. Chicken Parmesan dinner, which is an Italian favorite...again, zero flavor. This place has gone down hill extremely fast. We have yet to receive an order with everything we've asked for on it. My visit today at the Rosati's Pizzeria was outstanding, the temperate outside was unbearable and the workers inside were working so hard to make sure the pizzas came out on time. Me and my buddy ordered a Half Hawaiian half pepperoni and the pizza was more more than perfect I saw more than enough pepperonis and a bucket of pineapple I'm so glad I made the choice of choosing Rosati's for my dinner before the fireworks. I've ONLY gone here for Italian beef sandwiches, which i can honestly say are THE BOMB. Rosati's always has excellent food. I love them, even though they're a chain. They're somewhat consistent across locations (except the Buffalo Grove one - which BAKES, yes I said bakes their french fries). Anyways, this location is easy to find - in a strip mall. The girl who has helped me at the register was very friendly. The store didn't seem to have any heat, so waiting the 15 minutes for my food was FREEZING - but the food was good. And that's it! Rosati's can always be counted on for good pizza and amazing italian beef sandwiches (get the CHEEF). Highly recommended. read more

I ordered a pizza on 10/28/22. A $45 14" pizza. I've been ordering from here for a while. The pizza was usually good to very good. The last, and it will be the last pizza I order here, was horrible. The crust was greasy. The sausage tasted different. The sauce was off tasting, and it was so salty we couldn't eat it. I called and talked to the manager and she said nothing was different and there was nothing she would do about it. My only response can be that we will never order from there again and warn others that they don't care about quality or customer satisfaction. If I were you I wouldn't take a chance on wasting $45 or more on food that's inedible. read more

Was looking for a pizza parlor close to home and ended up at Rosati's for carry out. Had the thin crust mushroom and sausage pizza and it was just delicious and seasoned to perfection. Also ordered the chop salad which was freshly made and enormous! I hate to give such a negative review to this place, but my advice is don't come to the restaurant itself. The delivery is usually pretty good, but the restaurant itself didn't have any pizza ready. I was very disappointed when I was informed that there was a 20+ minute wait for the pizza to be ready. That is definetley a huge negative in this review, dragging them down to two stars. On the other hand, the service is excellent, very friendly and the restaurant looks very nice and clean, but next time, please make sure you have the pizza ready, because when it is in stock, it is usually pretty good, but not the best. read more

Lets start by saying i look for any reason to complain about anything when it comes to restaurants and food and consistency. My wife has celiacs and every where we go she at some point gets poisoned by gluten free food by cross contamination. This place here on over ten different occasions (knock on wood) has yet to poison her. I do not know what the procedures are over there but they clearly have if figured out. From the guy that answers the phone to the guys who clearly are aware of cross contamination to the delivery guy who calls just to let me know hes 2 minutes away. This is without a doubt the place for gluten free pizza (i eat the regular pizza) for my wife and this is something i have yet to find at any other pizza establishment. We ordered about 8 pizzas for a meeting today, and while it smelled absolutely delicious, the pizzas were awful. I appreciate their attempt at the thin crust, but what makes thin crust pizzas worthwhile is the crunch you get from the pizza every time you take a bite. Unfortunately, these pizzas were incredibly soggy, and because Rosati's layers their pepperoni underneath their cheese, the cheese layer and the crust often separated, resulting in a big mushy mess. At this point, I think I would have preferred Dominos or Papa John's. read more

Absolutely dreadful experience tonight! 1st time calling this place (and the last)! Called to place a large order for friends to surprise them for dinner - too bad I was never able to place the order, due to the EXTREME RUDENESS from an individual who claimed to be the owner (Hirsch?). He was very dis-organized and placed me on hold several times, only to return to the line, as though I had placed HIM on hold, or that HE was MY customer! (with a very nasty TUDE!) He even went so far as to reprimand (and verbally scold) me for not responding to him in a way that he felt was pleasing to him??? WHAT!? ARE YOU SERIOUS. If his pizza is anything like his NASTY ASS attitude - NO THANKS! I will never ever call there again. In fact, I have a very large base of friends in the area, and will make sure they know about my experience. That behavior does not belong in this area (or ANYWHERE for that matter). HORR-I-BLE!!! We LOVE the Rosatis in Vernon Hills! We order from here about once a week, and have never had a problem. The owner and his family who run the store are so nice, and always take care of us! They remember who we are, which goes a long way with us!! We frequently order from here when we have family or friends over, they are reliable and the food is great. Although these are franchises; we think the one in Vernon Hills is without a doubt the best one around. Highly recommend to try the dough nuggets, they're so good!! read more

Horrible experience! The driver delivering my order called from the street to have me come get my order instead of coming to the door. When I didn't pick up the phone when he called because I was teaching he left. When I called later he told me I wasted his time because there was traffic. When I called the store it was reiterated that I wasted their time and I had to fight for a refund. The manager insulted my intelligence when I asked when I could expect the refund.
